Sara’s house was a great place to stay while visiting Sao Miguel. The house was clean, well stocked, private, peaceful, and situated above the town of Maia with beautiful views down the coastline and great sunsets! Our kids loved the pool which was great to return to after doing day trips. The beds were comfy which was a plus after lots of adventuring. It was within easy driving distance of many of the key sights. Sara is a great communicator, provides lots of helpful info, and responsive to any questions. We would recommend this place to anyone while visiting the Azores!

Dino’s home is one of the top three AirBnBs that we have stayed in, and we have stayed at over 30+ AirBnBs from Peru to Portugal, Europe and the US. Moreover, he is easily the best host we have ever stayed with. He was waiting for us when we arrived and spent 30 minutes showing us where everything was and how to use it. I would strongly recommend his home to anyone looking for a beautiful home in a beautiful location.

A Gorgeous Villa with a Touch of Magic We absolutely loved our stay! The villa is not only beautiful but has a special touch of magic that made our time there unforgettable. Perfectly located and thoughtfully equipped with everything one could need, it exceeded our expectations. We felt right at home and will definitely return if we’re ever back in the area. The House is larger than expected and offers a lot of space for a group of friends or families!

We had a wonderful stay at Jose's. We were two families, four young kids and it was the perfect setup for us. We liked the location, as it wasn't downtown so it was quiet and had a good backyard for the kids, a pool, and a beautiful view! It was also easy to get to other parts of the island from. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed to cook in. After being at the house for 5 days, a crew came and changed the linens and cleaned the house! We mostly communicated with Tomas, who checked us in and Joana. Both were lovely and very helpful! They were also extremely accommodating with check in/check-out! We were able to check in early which was critical for the kids after a redeye and they let us check out later than the normal check-out time. We highly recommend this house for future guest!

This place is just the best. Our whole family loved the house and our kids loved feeding the animals. Sandra was super helpful and patient with our crazy family.

Excellent stay at a gorgeous Air BnB. Pool was heated. Outdoor patio spaces were amazing. Great view to the ocean. Lots of nice touches with art, fully equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Kitchen had all the utensils and they had lots of things for babies and toddlers like stair guards, high chairs and pack and play. Walkable to waterfront and town square.

The property is gorgeous and the natural ocean pool is incredible!! Perfect place to stay on the island for a relaxing vacation. We had a beautiful stay here.

Virginia and her team did an excellent job of hosting us with an easy check in as well as great communication. The space was clean and very close to restaurants/attractions. Highly recommended for future stays.

Beautiful view, enjoyed my coffee on the balcony in the mornings overlooking the ocean. Would not suggest this accommodation if someone in your party has difficulties with stairs. Was perfect for the 4 of us!

A great and unique place to stay! Beautifully maintained. Given the age of the house, the wind can be heard/felt on windy/stormy days. This takes some getting used to. Please know that the house is situated in a beautiful park, with keys to access the park after opening hours. On the lake you can use kayaks, and there are also kids bikes in the shed.

Beautiful base for Sao Miguel We loved Erico‘s place which was comfortable, beautifully decorated and charming. It also was very well equipped with dishes, spices, generous towels und great beds. Parking on the steep street is a bit daunting to start with and there are barking dogs just like everywhere else on the island that break up the serenity but the place is a real haven and between walking to the beach and driving to the different corners of the island it’s in a great place too. Érico was a responsive generous host, from the welcome bread and milk to restaurant recommendations , thank you Erico, we would definitely come again

We cannot say enough about how much we loved this place! The host was amazing and extremely accommodating. The house is beautiful with SPECTACULAR views. Everything was close either walkable or a short drive. Did I say that the host was amazing yet!???!!!! Bruno made our stay comfortable and relaxing. He is one of the best hosts we have ever stayed with.

Tony and Shawnette’s place was amazing! It was the perfect size for the 4 of us (4 adults). Having two bathrooms and two showers was wonderful, and the backyard terrace was the perfect place to end the night with a glass of wine or have your morning coffee. The location was incredible for walking down by the water in the evenings, or heading anywhere in the city for dinner. They were amazing and so flexible as our flights changed a few times, and were even able to let us check in early. I cannot recommend this place enough!

This place is amazing! We enjoyed the apartment for two weeks as our home base to explore Sao Miguel. With its location in Lagoa it is the perfect getaway from the business of Ponta Delgada but still close enough to go on early whale watching tours.. or to any direction on the island. The kitchen is very well setup - we could prepare meals on multiple days but also enjoyed the walks to the nearby restaurants.. With breakfast and dinner on the roof top terrace this place is a unique find and we will be happy to stay again! Thank you for making such a place a reality!

We stayed at Paula’s house for just under a week in April. It’s a large house (plus a separate annex) which would have been perfect for a bigger group (it was only four of us). We felt the house was very bright and peaceful; all amenities and pictures as advertised. We drove around the island a lot so it was always nice to return to a quiet space. Thank you!

This location is INCREDIBLE. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio, watching the huge aqua waves roll past the Mosteiros rocks and appreciated the easy access to the beautiful black beach. Parking is just up the street. Beds were comfortable and kitchen and bathroom worked well. Ricardo was very helpful with a reservation for dinner. We highly recommend the restaurant MoMo in nearby Ginetes. Mosteiros is well located if you plan to visit Sete Cidades and the thermal pools in Ferraria. This is a great spot!

Maria’s place was great! Clean, well located and private. I loved the patio’s even though we didn’t use because of the weather. She had a barbecue ready to go if you felt the need to cook! Restaurants are all within walking distance and there is a great choice of them. Maria was easy to contact and very receptive to our needs. It was easy to communicate with her. She had a board full of places to visit if people didn’t do their research of places to go. Parking was hit and miss however Maria’s place was surrounded by paid parking if no spot was available in front of the house. Maria’s place is extremely well located and I will definitely recommend to family and friends that are planning a trip to Sao Miguel!

The place was perfect for us. We felt at home immediately. We were impressed by how much space the place has to offer. You can easily fit two couples or a family with kids. It was very clean throughout the accommodation. Tara gave us detailed instructions, and we had no issues whatsoever with the check-in process. During our stay, we were even offered fresh towels and sheets. Walking to the center of the city takes about 30 minutes, which is completely fine if you enjoy walking. The neighborhood doesn’t have much to offer, so it might be good to have a rental car. There is plenty of parking space on the street. You will also have a beautiful view from the first floor, and if you’re lucky, you might get the opportunity to pet some cats that come around.

This is an old, converted fisherman’s cottage (we think). It’s a beautiful place with access to sea swimming pools right out the back garden gate. Easy walking distance to Lagoa along a coastal path leading right to the most amazing set of sea swimming pools (plus proper pools). Local cafe/bar/restaurant right on the doorstep. Kitchen was great, bathrooms clean and showers lovely and warm and powerful. Living space upstairs was fab - cosy in the rain but also perfect with the terrace door open in the evening. We have two young adult girls and one of them wasn’t comfortable sleeping in the communal space next to the kitchen but we easily moved her bed into the small room so she could sleep next to her sister. The only downside was that it was difficult to get things dry when it rained. Everything stayed damp and ended up smelling musty. In the wet, humid conditions the cottage feels a little damp. Generally speaking though, this is a great place. Highly recommend.

We had such a lovely time at this Airbnb! The hosts were incredibly loving and welcoming, and the listing photos truly captured the charm of the home. We absolutely adored the marvelous location, which made getting around a breeze. Enjoying our morning coffee with a good book while taking in the stunning view was a definite highlight. The house itself was also very well-equipped with all the essentials. We did notice a significant amount of humidity indoors, which made some of the bedding and clothes feel damp, likely owing to the home's proximity to the water. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to others seeking a beautiful and convenient getaway.
