Lisbon was nice, but our vacation started here. Having this beautiful home and a car, we explored the region and had a great time. Owners recommendations led to our favorites experiences on the trip. Can't recommend enough. The pics don't do it justice either, and the pics are amazing.

Amazing location with incredible views. Beautiful property with great interior design and well chosen artwork, sympathetic to the original school. Thanks to Tania and Carla for the care and attention and for the outstanding breakfast each day. And for doing a shop for us on the first day before our arrival. We would definitely recommend the chef at home meal. Great food and service by the guys with traditional Portuguese dishes on offer. Fantastic stay; we didn’t want to leave….ever! Outstanding! Wir bekamen viele Infos vom Check in bis zu möglichen Aktivitäten lange vor Beginn der Reise. Daniela war zu jeder Zeit ansprechbar und äußerst bemüht um jedes Anliegen. Sie organisierte uns einen kompletten herrlichen Tag im douro Tal angefangen mit einer phantastischen Zugfahrt über eine private Bootstour bishin zu einem köstlichen Lunch mit anschließender Tour über ein altes Weingut mit Kellerei und Verkostung. Wir werden uns noch sehr lange daran erinnern. Auch Ihre Restaurant Empfehlungen in unmittelbarer Nähe waren der absolute Knüller. Bitte daran denken, dass man sich auf dem Land und weit von Urbanität befindet und auf jeden Fall ein Auto benötigt. Der Pool war der Himmel nach einem heißen Tag unterwegs im alto douro und die Aussicht vom cottage ein Traum. Zum Frühstück kannst du dir einen leckeren Korb bestellen. Ansonsten ist die Küche für die Zubereitung von Mahlzeiten eher klein. Wir haben uns komplett wohl gefühlt und können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen.

This place is absolutely amazing — it exceeded all our expectations! In real life, it looks even better than in the photos. Getting there was very easy, and there’s a large parking area right on the property, so we felt totally safe leaving our car. The views from the rooms and the living area are simply unreal — breathtaking. Inside, the house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and had such a pleasant atmosphere. The hosts were wonderful — very responsive and helpful, and arranging check-in and check-out was smooth and easy. The entire property is stunning and well cared for. You will definitely enjoy your stay here. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Douro!

We had a lovely stay, super hosts and very peaceful area. We loved the saltwater pool and although we were a little worried about sharing with neighbours, it was all fine! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

I would give 10 stars if possible! The place is just amazing, Paulo and Isabelle created a beautiful paradise with a breathtaking view and everything one needs for an unforgettable holiday. This was one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The scenery was stunning, and the setting felt wonderfully secluded yet still just 15 minutes from the nearest supermarket (via a charming, winding road). The house was very comfortable and included a lovely pool — a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty around. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

Nuestra estancia ha sido perfecta. Teresa y Jorge son unos anfitriones maravillosos, que nos han mimado durante toda nuestra estancia. Están siempre disponibles y buscando satisfacer cualquier deseo o necesidas que pudieramos tener. La casa es realmente peculiar y especial, llena de historia y bonita decoración, antiguedades y detalles exquisitos. Niños y adultos hemos estado tan cómodos con la piscina, el clima, la barbacoa, el mobiliario exterior,... que hemos disfrutado más la casa que las obligadas visitas turísticas de la ciudad e la zona. Recomendable al 100%

The view here is incomparable! The views over the Duoro River are amazing. It’s so close to wineries and winery tours too. There’s a supermarket close by with all you’ll need. It was hot the day we arrived and the pool overlooking the valley was pristine and oh so refreshing! Our host did a great job of communicating and made us feel right at home. I could have stayed here a lot longer!

Mario and Cila’s home was one of the most beautiful I have stayed out. The house was an old olive oil mill, converted into a modern paradise. They thoughtfully incorporated the property’s history into the renovation. The home is beautiful but the grounds are next level! There is a running stream running along side and under the house with lush grounds and a wonderful pool. There is also a walking path to a little park with a waterfall! Super peaceful property. If you are looking for a getaway, look no further! Mario and Cila are super kind, gracious hosts! They welcomed us themselves and proactively provided tips and recommendations. Super appreciative of their hospitality.

Já é o segundo ano que visitamos este lugar. Há algo mágico nele e sobretudo para quem trabalha na cidade, é o lugar perfeito para poder desligar. Dá-nos saúde e faz sonhar. Destaco mais uma vez a piscina e a vista. Acordar com vista para o vale é sensacional. A casa tem todas as comodidades e está muito bem equipada. O espaço é limpo e muito acolhedor. Espero voltar para o ano.

We've had an amazing 4 days here. It's just a perfect location and we felt at home here. The pool, the view, the garden with grill - everything was just perfect. The only 'negative' things, if you can call them negative, is that the bathroom is on a different floor than the bedrooms, and that the parking is a bit tight for a large car. We can fully recommend this place to anyone looking for a private getaway in a beautiful location.

Dajas Douro Valley was perhaps more beautiful than the photos! It was the perfect place to relax between adventures in Lisbon and Porto. We especially loved spending time by the pool by day and cozying up with a bottle of wine by the fire pit by night. Alexandra and Tatiana were very welcoming. A few tips for future guests: The property is nestled in the hillside which means it is at least 20 minutes from towns/restaurants. We rented a car which was helpful for exploring nearby areas, but be prepared for many narrow, steep and winding roads! We found that Waze gave better directions (less rustic) than Google maps. We also wished we had stopped at a grocery store to stock up on some food for our villa before arriving. I also recommend booking reservations at local wineries as we didn’t have much luck just showing up (midweek at least). My husband and I would absolutely stay here again!

Local calmo (era o que pretendíamos), casa excelente, vistas, espaçosa (dentro e fora/jardim), imensos extras/prendas do anfitrião, que foi impecável. Recomendo e possivelmente regressamos com temperaturas mais quentes.

A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. Olivier was a wonderful host, very helpful with recommendations of all sorts (food, trips, events, wine,..) and they even brought me fresh tea (herbs and fruits) from their garden for me to brew! The house itself was spotless, beautifully designed and simply great to be at.

Beautifully designed apartment with a great atmosphere and beautiful views of the river in a quiet neighborhood. It's an easy walk into the middle of town - about ten minutes for us. We enjoyed the pool too! Highly recommended.
