If you've ever dreamed of staying in a gorgeous villa, nestled high in the mountains, with incredible views of Lake Como then Villa Nina is the place for you. Claudio and Maria are incredibly kind and responsive to all inquiries - they made us feel right at home. The benefit of being further from the hustle and bustle of Varenna (approx 6-8 min drive) is that you can experience a truly local experience. I opened my window each morning to incredible views with sounds of the beautiful stream nearby. Some of the amenities (veranda, pool) are shared but this was not an issue for our family. We were able to enjoy everything on the property. The villa itself is well-appointed with everything you need for your stay. We traveled as a family of four (2 adults, 1 teenager, 1 older child) and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. We look forward to our next stay at Villa Nina!

Incredible views. Highly recommend renting a scooter to make commute up and down the hill much easier. 10/10 would stay here again.

Schöne, saubere und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung. Super Lage direkt am See und in einem ruhigen Dorf. Die Aussicht war sensationell. Bei der Ankunft wartete ein gedeckter Tisch auf uns und in der Küche waren Pasta, Tomatensosse und Wein für uns bereitgestellt. Diese kleine Aufmerksamkeiten haben uns sehr gefreut, so eine tolle Überraschung haben wir noch nie erlebt. Herzlichen Dank dafür. Absolut empfehlenswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We had the pleasure of spending a few unforgettable days at Katie’s beautiful apartment in Ronco sopra Ascona. The view is absolutely breathtaking – Lake Maggiore stretches out at your feet, with Ascona and the Brissago Island in full view, framed by the surrounding mountains. The long hours of sunshine on the spacious terrace were a true highlight. The apartment is nice furnished, very well maintained, and offers plenty of space with its three bedrooms – ideal for families or small groups. Everything was clean and perfectly prepared – you can tell Katie is a thoughtful and caring host. The location is peaceful, yet just a short drive from Ascona and the lake. The combination of privacy, stunning views, and comfort makes this place a real gem. We’d love to come back – thank you, Katie!

Absolutely wonderful stay and amazing host. The apartment was exactly as described and the views and location were perfect. We loved sitting on the balcony, looking over the water and watching and hearing the people below. There are 2 wine bars just outside the door and also many restaurants. Alberto picked us up at the station and explained the apartment and area. Giorgio’s kindness was immeasurable. The trains had unexpectedly stopped running and he personally booked our transportation back to Milan and drove us to meet a new express bus. We could have never done this without him, as this was unpublished at the time. What a wonderful man! Varenna is a beautiful small village and there are many outstanding restaurants and things to do. Our highlight was taking a cooking class with Chef Marco, Chef’s Table, and later dining at his new restaurant, La Scarpetta. We recommend visiting the villas in town, taking the Taxi Boat to Villa Balbianello and hiking to the waterfall in Fiumelatte.

Roberta’s home is AMAZING! It’s spacious, in a great location, and has the best view especially for sunset. We loved being right at the edge of city center and a quieter space to relax while being no more than 10 min walk to the furthest restaurant. Don’t forget to look at Roberta’s beautiful paintings around the house and stop at her shop down the road! We’ll certainly stay here again.

Picturesque setting! Villa felt like home!

Eine tolle, gemütliche Wohnung, mit allem was es braucht, um sich schnell wohlzufühlen. Es ist sehr gemütlich, man schaut ins Grüne, der Bach rauscht. Auch unsere beiden Teenager waren begeistert. Fabrizio ist ein sehr herzlicher und offener Gastgeber mit Tipps und guten Informationen. Aus unserer Sicht fast ein Geheimtipp, wenn man Natur sucht und doch mit dem Bus zügig einkaufen oder durch Locarno Bummeln möchte.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist zu 100% sauber, die Klimaanlage war auch angenehm. Wir durften sogar den ganzen Garten benutzen mit Ausblick auf den See.

A very nice, clean house close to the lake. Big rooms and a big terrace. There is also a lot of space to park the car in front of the house. We had a very nice stay. Thank you.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour. Les instructions de Sara étaient précises et nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil de Simonetta. La maison est très agréable et correspond en tout point à la description. La vue sur le lac est incroyable (terrasse et chambre) et l'environnement calme. La présence du jacuzzi pour se détendre après les journées à découvrir les villages autour du lac est un vrai plus. En voiture, l'accès à Bellagio et Côme se fait bien si on ne craint pas les routes un peu étroites.

My husband, my children and I stayed at Sebastiano’s place for three days and we have collected lots of nice memories for life. The views of this place are amazing. It is very comfortable and has in the surroundings many places to visit, or to do water sports. It was very easy to arrive by public transport and also to move from there to every sightseeing in the region. The house is very homie, and the kitchen had everything we needed, The pool is big plus and has a very relaxing atmosphere. We will come back for sure.

If you’re looking for a little magic in your stay, you’re in the right place. This is no ordinary AirBNB - it is a thoughtfully and beautifully curated home in a special part of Lake Como that well exceeds the expectations of any usual property. The care shown by the hosts is special, including helpful directions, local guidance and responsiveness to questions. Hope to come back again one day and see even more of the area. Recommend having a car for getting around.

Die Wohnung ist schön, etwas klein, aber man hat alles was man braucht. Der Garten mit direktem Zugang zum See ist traumhaft, super mit einem Hund & man kann sehr gut abschalten. Schade ist, dass man nur über die Strasse zim Garten gelangt, aber das ist ein sehr kleiner Nachteil. Mirko war unglaublich freundlich & zuvorkommend. Er war stets besorgt darum ob alles gut ist & war immer super erreichbar. Er hat auch erlaubt, früher zu kommen & länger zu bleiben, was auch super nett von ihm war. Ein Auto ist fast zwingend notwendig in der Gegend, der öV schien nicht gross vertreten zu sein. Ich würde die Unterkunft jedem weiterempfehlen!

Very good situation. Easy to find. Clear instructions. Amazing view, just for that the price worth it. Center is not far, more or less 15 minutes walk. Parking available. Fridge with various products for our attention. Very kind. I recommend the place.

The apartment is beautiful, modern, clean, and tranquil. The kitchen is fantastically equipped; we like to buy local ingredients and cook. the location could not be better situated, near the water, the shopping, the gelato, and the restaurants- a quiet retreat in an exciting location. Sabrina and Riccardo were kind, responsive, generous (welcome wine and cake) and helpful. We would return in a heart beat.

We had a wonderful stay! The condo is beautiful and the view was stunning! We loved sitting on the balcony each night. We also appreciated having a dryer. This space was very nice and accommodating. The location was very convenient to the train station, but it was further away than we realized from the coast. We wished it had been a touch closer to the main coastline. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans un endroit absolument idéal pour se reposer. Le cadre est très calme, avec une magnifique vue sur le lac parfait pour déconnecter. Nous avions un logement avec une cuisine extérieure, ce qui était vraiment super agréable pour profiter pleinement de l’environnement. La chambre était très bien, confortable et propre. Le lieu est aussi parfaitement adapté pour un séjour avec un petit enfant : il y a un bac à sable, une balançoire, quelques jouets sur place, une chaise haute, un lit bébé… même des jeux de société pour les soirées en famille. Les propriétaires sont adorables, avec plein de petites attentions qui font la différence : à notre arrivée, des fruits frais, des yaourts, des bières… Et pour ceux qui aiment leur tranquillité, pas d’inquiétude, on ne les a presque pas vus Le seul petit point d’amélioration selon moi serait l’ajout d’une petite piscine ce serait vraiment la cerise sur le gâteau. Mais sinon, tout était top, un vrai petit coin de paradis

We have stayed at a lot of Airbnb’s and this one is fabulous. Very large for a European apartment. Very new, very clean. Every touch was excellent. The hosts provided free champagne, coffee and water. Can’t say enough about how great this place was. Highly highly recommend.

We had just a wonderful time in this beautifully furnished apartment. It was very clean, beds very comfortable - even the sleeper sofa. The location was very central. Shops, restaurants, train station in walking distance. We can highly recommend the apartment.

Cécile is a lovely house and the apartment is beautiful and comfortable. She met me at the train station and drove me to the place and showed me around and answered all my questions. She left some snacks in the apartment as well. She responds quickly to questions and is very friendly. The apartment is beautiful with a nice balcony with a spectacular view. I highly recommend staying here if you come to Lugano.

Great place to stay close to the city centre, and convenient for buses and ferries to other parts of Lake Como. Conveniently close to Como Logo station too. The apartment is very clean and has everything you need. Vincenzo is a great host.
