Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Arcata

The house was a relaxing retreat for our family after long days hiking in the redwoods. Amazing location with plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The beds were so comfortable, we wanted to write down the information to purchase them for our house! The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. We had great intentions to soak in the hot tub, but spent our evenings playing ping pong instead. It's good to have so many options. 😊 The backyard was also really nice, and we felt safe in the area.

We loved staying here. It was exactly what we were looking for near our trip to see Redwood trees Pat was so helpful before we even arrived. She gave us a tour when we got to her Air BNB it was so charming & had everything we needed plus some It was very private & safe Enjoyed our stay greatly. 5 stars. Will definitely come back again

We loved our stay at Amber’s listing. It was within walking distance of restaurants, a winery, the Plaza, a fabulous yoga studio, and grocery stores. The home was clean and cozy with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed for our stay. We felt at home. We also enjoyed the beautiful garden outside. Will definitely stay here again the next time we come to town! Amber was a responsive host.

I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a cleaner air bnb! Everything was spotless, the bed was comfy, kitchen was well stocked, hosts were extremely accommodating of our needs, and we couldn’t have asked for more. 10/10 recommend!

Amy's place has everything we needed for our stay in Arcata. It is cute, clean, and the bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up to go explore the Redwoods. Amy provided excellent recommendations for places to explore, and restaurants to eat at.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The home was spotlessly clean, and it's clear that the hosts put a lot of care into the decor and furnishings. It felt very intentional and comfortable. We appreciated how easily we could find everything we needed. The beautiful patio was a great spot to relax. Having a dedicated parking spot right outside was so convenient, and there is plenty of extra parking nearby. The location couldn't have been better – a short walk to downtown with fantastic restaurants, coffee shops, and a grocery store. This will definitely be our family's go-to place when we're in the area again. Highly recommend!

An absolute gem of a place to stay! Not only extremely cozy and full of charm, beds very comfortable and in a prime location with so many places in walking distance. This place was perfect for our weekend away and I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

This place was absolutely stunning and cozy. The view is breathtaking. The bed was comfortable and the house was warm and clean. The shower is a bit short so it might be a struggle for tall people but the bath is beautiful and clean. Our only challenge was that the steps are in no shape for walking all the way down to the beach. They are in serious need of updating if they are to be advertised as usable. We could make it half way down to the deck with care, but beyond that is just hazardous. The deck view is gorgeous. We would still come back, even without beach access. It was a wonderful place to stay.

The Eco-Conscious Apartment was an incredibly thoughtful and lovely place to stay. You don’t find a lot of places like these where there is intent behind everything! Karin was an amazing host who showed us nothing less than kindness and shared insights on local restaurants and activities for my partner and I to do. It was refreshing to have a host like Karin who is not in the rental game just for profit but genuinely wants to share the experience of the location and community with others, too. It’s a perfect distance from the National Park where we spent most of our time. My partner and I are already talking about coming back and staying here again next year!

We had a great stay at The Eagles Nest. The listing was just as stated and looked like the pictures. We had everything we needed for our stay and the store for shopping was only a block away so it made it easy to walk. The beds were comfortable, the balcony was great in the mornings the air is so fresh it makes you want to get up and go explore. Evenings were nice, living room had plenty of space with options for movies, games or just conversation. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the area (all walking distance) to choose from so you can't go wrong when choosing The Eagles Nest for your stay. We had a great time and would love to stay again on our next visit to Arcata. Thank you Joshua for opening The Eagles Nest for our family.

We had a great stay! It was perfect for the quick getaway trip that we needed. Close enough to 101 that it was convenient to get to, but far enough to feel peaceful. I was surprised (not in a bad way) that the space was originally a garage, but very impressed in how they turned it into a guest suite. Everything was very clean. Michelle was responsive and made sure that we would have everything for a comfortable stay. She even has a binder of local suggestions which I appreciated more than just a tourist brochure. One small detail that I loved is the property has filtered water - I was happy that I didn’t have to stock up with water bottles from the store!
