Cheap. Nice location. Comfy big bed. Room smelt a bit damp is only drawback. Good shower. Good location.

This was genuinely one of our favourite places in all of Sri Lanka. Incredibly peaceful and beautiful with a stunning view of the lake and just the sounds of nature. The room is very luxurious, from the big comfy bed to the beautiful bathroom with a hot waterfall shower, it was perfect! Madhu’s hospitality was expectional, we were so well taken care of and felt at home right away! We had dinner on the terrace by the lake both nights and it was the most delicious and varied local food we’ve had! The breakfast was also fantastic! One of the highlights was when Madhu offered for us to borrow her paddleboard of the lake where we went round the lagoon at sunset and saw lots of widlife! A truly exceptional place, would definitely recommend!!

Die Unterkunft war sehr gut! Das Frühstück war nicht dabei, war aber dafür sehr lecker. Bier gibt es kalt im Kühlschrank ;)

At first - super fast communication with host. It makes everything much easier! Thanks for that. Everything was good at the end, just a little minus - when we arrived at evening pool was dirty. Also on next morning there was varan (big lizard) swimming - but our kids will say that it’s a plus :)) After we asked about the pool it was immediately cleaned. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was really great. We recommend this place! No worries about the pool we swim and everything was good :)) Beautiful view!

If you are looking of an oasis and an awesome hideout away from the busy streets of Hikkaduwa you found your place. Traveling can get exhausting, chanakas place is perfect if you feel like staying at home, reading and enjoying some private life in your cabanas. The design is quite unique and one gets the feeling of being at home, as soon as Faust welcomes you.

Wir sind als Familie mit einem Baby und einem vierjährigen Kind einen Monat in der Villa White geblieben und wir hätten uns für diese Zeit keine bessere Unterkunft vorstellen können. Die Besitzer haben uns wie Familie aufgenommen, uns mit den Kindern geholfen und uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt, ob es das Planen von Ausflügen war, frischer Kaffee oder beim Fieber unseres Sohns. Für eine Woche haben wir sogar das größere Zimmer bekommen ohne dafür zu bezahlen, nur um uns eine schöne Zeit zu ermöglichen. Yamuna, die Besitzerin der Villa, liebt nicht nur Babys und Kinder, sondern ist der herzlichste Mensch, dem wir je auf Reisen je begegnet sind. Ein besonderes Highlight sind die Affen, die beim Frühstück regelmäßig vorbeischauen und sich über Bananen freuen. Auch die Lage an einem wunderschönen und für srilankanische Verhältnisse kinderfreundlichen Strand war für uns perfekt. Wir kommen wieder und können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

Kumara ist ein äußerst freundlicher Gastgeber und hat auf alle Anliegen schnell reagiert! Die Lage der Unterkunft ist super, vom Balkon aus sieht man das Meer. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Einzig allein der Lärm der Straße ist nichts für leichte Schläfer ;) Herzlichen Dank für die zwei Tage!

Majic location to swim in the warm sea, spot the turtles in the evening, relax in the sun or shade with also options of outdoor shower and pool. Great spacious clean room and comfy bed. Lovely hosts that are happy to accommodate your needs.

Just as beautiful as the pictures! Ruwan and the whole team at Kaju Green are super friendly and helpful. The grounds are amazing, food was delicious & we were blessed to get a free upgrade to the eco lodge that included the bath. Also the free tuktuk to turtle beach was soo helpful (we saw a 100 year old turtle on our visit) everything about our stay was perfect! We only stayed one night and we wished we had longer to explore the grounds, truly gorgeous!!!

This place is so beautiful and looks just like the photos! It’s right on the beach and the the sound of waves is just so beautiful! You wake up to the most amazing view from your bedroom. Totally reccomend it. It’s on the main road and very easy to find. You can walk to the local markets and restaurants or take a tuk tuk. Will surely come back again!

We enjoyed our stay. Our host and staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The space is very serene, and the location is perfect - not far from shops and restaurants but at the same time quiet and peaceful. We felt very welcomed and very well taken care off.

Отличная комната, чисто, все работает, белье и полотенца свежие, кондей мощный, насекомых нет, дают переходники для розеток и роутер, если вайфай не тянет. Персонал очень старается помочь, реагируют на любую мелочь и стараются думать наперед.

The Nuga House ist eine super entspannte und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Unterkunft. Die Mitarbeitenden sind wundervoll - immer ansprechbar, hilfsbereit und haben immer ein Lachen auf den Lippen. Wir waren dort mit einem vierjährigen Kind und obwohl die Unterkunft eher auf Yoga und Surfen als auf Familien spezialisiert ist, wurden unsere Bedürfnisse als Familie (spezielles und größeres Haus mit extra breitem Bett und Extrawünsche beim Essen) super gut und proaktiv berücksichtigt. Besonders gut hat uns gefallen, dass das Frühstück inklusive war. Wir wären auch länger geblieben, wenn nicht schon alles ausgebucht gewesen wäre :-)

This place definitely had that character. The architecture and traditional touches gave it a unique and peaceful vibe that I really appreciated. I have to mention the sweetest dog on the property who added an extra layer of warmth to the stay! That said, the room was a bit darker than the photos and could have been cleaner. If you’re looking for a quiet spot with local charm and don’t mind being a bit off the beaten path, this place has a lot to offer. With some small improvements, it could be a real gem. Thanks again to the kind hosts!

We loved our brief stay here. It’s on a stunning beach and the pool area is also very nice. Spacious clean rooms with great bathroom and AC. The food is really good and the staff are helpful and friendly. In the night we even saw a mother sea turtle laying her eggs and returning to the sea, right outside. It was magical. Worth paying a visit to the Sea Turtle Hatchery 2 mins away where you can meet some turtles and see all their good work nursing injured ones back to health. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed in Shanil's place for 6 nights. We were greeted by Suranga and his team immediately after arriving we received a cool coconut drink and felt right at home. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Suranga and his team did an excellent job. Especially the food was fantastic, the chef did an excellent job. One of the best Srilanken food we had in our vacation in Sri Lanka. We had breakfast and dinner as well. The even provided our kids with western breakfast. We felt welcome from start to end and didn't want to leave. Hopefully we are back. The house with the 2 double room and the separate house with the family room is well set up and gives each guest his own privacy. The location is great with the beach and the ocean right in front of the house. With a 15min. Tuktuk ride you are both in Mirissa and Weligama. Thank you very much for having us.

Wir haben uns bei Magda und Domi sehr wohl gefühlt. Die zwei haben uns sehr freundlich empfangen und gaben uns gute Tips für die Umgebung. Das Zimmer war wunderschön und sehr sauber. Die Gemeinschaftsräume waren sehr großzügig und es fehlte an nichts. Der Pool war toll und wir haben viel Zeit darin und drumherum verbracht :) und unsere Tochter liebte zusätzlich das Trampolin. Alles in Allem war es mit die Schönste Unterkunft in Sri Lanka.

We absolutely LOVED staying at NETS. The room was beautiful and clean and the common areas were comfy. The pool was great to use on a lunch break. The co-working space was brilliant, easy to access and you can book separate rooms for meetings. The staff were amazing! We had such a great stay at mates villa! It’s a gorgeous space, and we loved using the pool and enclosed yard every day. As it’s newly opened, the rooms, kitchen and overall property is in pristine condition. Really good value for what we paid and would love to stay again next time we visit. Special shoutout to the hosts, they were so friendly and welcoming, and even helped us book a taxi to our next destination. Thank you!

Thank you for the wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was very friendly and attentive, and you could tell they worked as one team. This place became a true source of warmth and friendship for me. Every evening, they asked me what I wanted for breakfast the next day. When I got sick, they brought me plenty of tea with lemon without asking for anything in return. They organized a whale watching tour at a price lower than other excursion providers. I felt completely comfortable and safe.

We stayed a week at Slow Life boutique hotel. It felt very safe and contained . Our room was lovely upstairs with a little balcony ,air conditioning and our own bathroom. Everything was very clean our sheets and towels were changed . The common area was available but when in the hotel we spent more time in our lovely cool bedroom. Marissa was interesting to explore . The southern end of the beach was a lot calmer to swim in. It was great watching the surfers at the northern end of the beach . The only thing that wasn’t available was facilities to cook our own food . But that was fine as there were so many lovely places to eat in Marissa. Our hosts organised a scooter for us to use . Thanks very much for everything.

Great place to stay for long time. Reasonable prices and value for money. Super clean rooms and swimming pool. Owner Lakshitha is nice and super helpful. The kitchen is eqiuped with all the items to cook by ourselfes. The breakfast from the shanthi boutique villa was more than expexted. Overall a super experience. Love to stay more on this place.

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich hübsch! In Summe gibt es vier Zimmer, die sich die offene Küche und den Pool teilen. Es gab immer frisches Obst und Wasser, das man sich nehmen durfte. Außerdem ist besonders der „Wachdienst“ zu erwähnen. Sowohl tagsüber als auch nachts ist jemand auf dem Grundstück und jederzeit bei Fragen ansprechbar. Davon waren wir wirklich positiv überrascht. Die Lage ist gut: Man kann zu Fuß kurzläufig Restaurants erreichen. Mit einem Roller ist man jedoch noch flexibler. Wir waren wirklich sehr zufrieden und hatten eine gute Zeit. Rückblickend fanden wir die Unterkunft verglichen zu anderen recht teuer (aber immer noch voll okay!)
