Self-contained annexe with great views

LeanneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lovely peaceful place to stay, ideal if you like beautiful views, privacy and quiet. Jane was really helpful, met us when we arrived and settled us in, gave advice on places to eat and nice walks nearby. Enjoyed walking by the canal and local takeaway for dinner. Also had a visit from Jane’s cat which was the icing on the cake. Comfortable accommodation, would definitely return, hopefully soon. Thank you

Country Cottage: Catering & Spa

JamieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Just had the most amazing stay in Hare Cottage at Sawcliffe Manor, and the Cleopatra Spa experience was amazing - even my husband and our 2 girls loved it! We booked the Afternoon Tea, Grazing board and English breakfast during our stay and they were all truly perfect - the afternoon tea even came in a ‘Mad Hatters’ theme. Cannot wait to book again.

The Piggery @ No 14

Such a wonderful find! This beautiful compact house offers so much. Everything has been so carefully and well thought out, clearly with a lot of attention to detail to make a great stay! The place has everything you could think of and everything being of high quality. The owners seemed very polite and caring and the location was great, with 2 local shops on the doorstep. Very pleased we found it! All you need to bring is food, everything else is provided, sugar, milk, tea and coffee etc.

Static Caravan, 38 Sunset View.

ChristopherRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lovely clean caravan with no passing traffic on the edge of a large well maintained site. It was very quiet apart from the occasional rumbling of trains! The walks (with the dog) were lovely and there's plenty of wildlife to enjoy. The bar and restaurant were very nice and family friendly. The other facilities on site were limited - you could do watersports on 1 lake but we didn't see anyone on there. Fishing was popular. The local shops are small and have limited ranges - there is a large supermarket about 15 mins drive away in Scunthorpe. We enjoyed watersports at Hatfield, the trolley bus museum at Sandtoft and Normanby Hall near Scunthorpe - all local. We missed the day for the Crowle Peatland railway. There are plenty of things to do further afield with Cleethorpes & Lincoln about 40 minutes away by car and Sheffield (via Meadowhall) & York (via Selby) about an hour away by car/ train. Finally the communication from the owners was great - thanks - we had a lovely holiday.

Riverbank Cottage

JakeRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We tend to meet up as a friend group twice a year at Central locations to catch up and celebrate, we chose Riverside Cottage this time mostly due to the location but it ended up being a great choice. The cottage is really nice and comfortable with beautiful views over the river and church from the lounge on the 1st floor, everyone was very comfortable, we were able to BBQ and bring a family pet with no issues and had a great time in the cottage itself. The local area is picturesque and the owner recommended a great pub to us where we spent a lot of the Saturday with food and views of the river. The owner Sara was very friendly and accommodating, great communication and quickly responsive to questions and unexpected needs. Parking is tight on the drive, can get two cars fine but definitely not more than that - however there is plenty of parking at the owners property down the road and a very easy 2 minute walk along the river to drop off and collect them. Great trip!

Cosy Cube Poppy Cabin

Ruth And RickRating, 5 stars2 days ago
I slept so well in Poppy pod, which is comfortable and beautiful space. I felt so safe and peaceful I left both door and window open during the night. The loo is a short walk away in another little cabin with an excellent shower. Everything is very clean indeed and the hosts work very hard to keep everything lovely. Keith was very kind to help check oil in the car and is just a very warm person. I would definitely stay again.
