Elm cottage is a great place to escape to and explore the Peak District including Thors Cave, Hartington, Tissington and Mam Tor. Local pubs, cafes and shops are excellent, just a short drive away and public footpaths from on site. We have some local walks from site on National Trust land. Away from the hustle and bustle, this peaceful spot has unrivalled far reaching views of the peaks and your own bench outside to enjoy them, or the stars! Totally faultless. Everything you need and more. Every extra touch provided - including very generous welcome hamper and Easter tasteful decorations. Everything for a pet, or a picnic, staying in or going out. Modern technology including iMac, WiFi and sky. Nothing missing from the kitchen for any cook. Bedrooms and bathrooms (linen, towels, robes, toiletries) had the feel of a five star hotel. Charming hosts. I could go on. I had high expectations as is rated 10, but we were all astounded at how incredibly tasteful and well equipped it was, and to a high decorative standard. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at Emily’s home! Even though she was on vacation, she was incredibly responsive — always replying to our messages within 10 minutes. The house was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. Our kids especially loved the game room with the ping pong table and various board games — it kept them happily entertained. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay. Thank you, Emily!

Absolutely gorgeous little cottage in a great location to explore the Peak District! We met the hosts mother upon check in and had a lovely chat which made us feel right at home. We loved the farmland nearby and the sounds of the animals outside as well as the lovely garden area where you can relax in the sun. Oh and the views are to die for! The WiFi was perfect and the TV was great to watch movies on during those rainy days, there was also lots of leaflets to help plan your trips around the Peak District. Worth noting, albeit this is in the process of being resolved from our understanding, if you are a light sleeper it may be worth baring in mind you can hear upstairs guests. It wasn’t an issue for us at all, but worth mentioning, however this didn’t affect our stay at all! Overall, we had a fantastic week here and would come back in a heartbeat, thank you so much Naomi for a wonderful stay!

From booking to departure, the hosts were fantastically friendly and helpful. Tom Tom’s is a beautifully renovated ‘stable’, lovingly looked after by Richard who is the perfect host. He was always on hand if needed & even helped us by booking a table at the local pub. The cottage is so peaceful, perfectly stocked with all the essentials and an ideal getaway spot in the beautiful Peak District. The only noises you’ll hear are the moo’s of the cows or the baa’s of the sheep in the fields surrounding. If you’re lucky, you’ll be awake at feeding time. This was a highlight for us, especially being so close to the newborn lambs. Thank you Richard, we didn’t want to leave 🥰

Loved our stay in the cottage! Stunning views all around, great footpaths easily accessible from the house, nice touches like fresh eggs/milk/bread on arrival - one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in. Highly recommend if you would like a peaceful country getaway. Good location for Alton Towers as well if you have a car. Family of four - had more than enough room for all of us (four adults basically). Would have liked to stay much longer. Would definitely book again!

We very much enjoyed our stay with Alison and Gavin. The apartment (an annex to their house) was very well appointed, clean and well equipped. Alison and Gavin were welcoming hosts. The garden was very pretty. The location, in Dovedale, was beautiful and perfect- whether you wanted to stroll along the river or trek through the surrounding hills. A charger for our electric car was an added advantage.
