Truly a great apartment! Fully matched the listing. It is sparkling clean and everything has been thought of: tea, coffee, washing machine, you name it. It is in a quiet area, but at the bottom of the mountain there is a nice restaurant to enjoy the sunset. We had to mess with the jacuzzi for a while: it went on every hour in the middle of the night, but the host responded very quickly and was able to explain to us how we could solve this. We had a wonderful stay, I would recommend it to everyone.

We loved our stay and would definitely stay again! The apartment looks just like the photos and is really well maintained and immaculately clean. Plus they’ve also thought of everything, it’s really well equipped. The location is great, just a couple of minutes walk to all the old town restaurants and bars. Plus the rooftop is a real sun trap in the afternoon, we loved hanging out by the pool.

Everything very nice. Great area and beautiful view. bath an shower was a little bit small, that's the only disadvantage.

Gabrielle is an exceptional host. She was able to give advice on the area so that we could make the most of our stay. Always attentive to ensure that our family lacks nothing (toys for children, adapted bed, etc.). I would recommend the accommodation, it is comfortable and in a peaceful location in the heart of a small village.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. I think it was the perfect location just outside the old town - very easy to walk into old town or along the marinas to many restaurants and shops yet also easy access for tours and outings outside the city. I loved Crete and would recommend this Airbnb to others. Some of the restaurants we enjoyed in the area (easily walkable from the apartment) include Maiami, El Gato, and SALIS. We also enjoyed a cooking lesson, snorkeling boat trip, and olive oil tasting.

Stavros was fantastic, as was the history of this wonderful place. Rethymno was a beautiful town and we explored everywhere on foot. We decided on walking in the morning and then having a late lunch (each lunch was fantastic) and walking back up the hill to have a light supper on the deck at sunset. Beautiful and thank you so much for the care you put into your house to make it a wonderful experience.

My husband and I have only stayed 4 nights at Nikos' Kafenion, but it was a real pleasure. The place is an architectural gem, in an old, charming traditional house, and we were delighted to blend with the local community, even for a few days. We had dinners at a taverna in the village, among locals, kids, cats and dogs, and went for an evening coffee at the coffee place in the vicinity, too. It was our greatest pleasure to enjoy our breakfasts on the terrace, and to spend late evenings there, too. It is a quiet place in a nice village, and that was all that we needed for our vacation. Nikos has a well deserved reputation. He was friendly, helpful, attentive, answered to all our questions, and gave us valuable suggestions, every time. We've rented one of his cars and went to different beaches in the area, and to Kournas Lake. We would love to return to Crete and stay again at Nikos, and we definitely appreciate his hospitality and generosity. Efcharisto poli!

Being a host myself, I am super attune to the details. This space is perfectly situated right on the water's edge with gorgeous Juliette balconies and large French doors that let the ocean breeze in. The driver let us off near the main square and we walked along the water with baggage in tow. Directions were spot on...great way to 'make an entrance' into this amazing gem of a spot. The space was perfect and had everything we needed to decompress and relax. The town has everything you need from restaurants to historical ruins to little shops. 4 days was not near enough to explore all the little streets. The cohost, Silver, was beyond amazing and accommodating. We didn't pre-plan any excursions until we arrived. When we decided on an itinerary she was on it with recommendations AND connections to make it all happen. We were treated like family. What else could you ask for?! 5-stars plus plus. Hope to return!

Stella was a wonderful, kind and caring host. She looked after us from the start to the end of our 2 week stay and provided lots of lovely treats for us. Our towels and bedlinen were changed regularly and our apartment was cleaned regularly. Stella’s apartment is less than one minute from the village and less than two minutes to the beach where there are wonderful Tavernas. We loved going to Mistrali Taverna for delicious, fresh, homemade food. We particularly enjoyed staying among the kind and friendly locals and getting into the Cretan way of life. Busy/lively early in the mornings and very tranquil as the day and evening progressed. We loved retuning to the outside patio area after a day at the beach and communicate with the locals. We also enjoyed the comfort of a large Queen size bed and a super power shower with hot water all day. Kalyves is a beautiful village not far from Chania. Thank you Stella

One of my favorite Airbnbs. The apartment is spotless, beautifully decorated, and full of thoughtful touches—truly exceeded expectations. Our host was incredibly friendly and welcomed us with an amazing olive oil cake. Mirthios is peaceful and charming, just a short drive to beaches and shops. The best restaurant is right across the street. Couldn’t recommend more

Excellent accommodation for our vacation in La Canée. Impeccable accommodation with breathtaking views, very quiet. Very good attention from Anna, vegetables to make our first meal, fruits, wine. Very good indication left by Anna on the activities and places to visit, catering outside the tourist places. a lot of things are present in the accommodation, useful when you have small oversights. We'd recommend it without a second thought.

We felt very comfortable here! The location is perfect, by car you can easily get to many great beaches without having to drive extremely far. The room was as described, it was totally clean and was even cleaned once during our stay. The view was totally beautiful and to have breakfast on the balcony just mega! I have to give a small deduction, as the bed is quite small and the apartment is also very clairaudient... you unfortunately hear all the noises from outside and also from the neighbors... Thank goodness we had quiet neighbors, but if families with children live next door, it could be a bit louder. Nevertheless, we were completely satisfied, the host is super friendly and gave us great recommendations! We would come back 🥹🥰

Absolutely loved the accommodation. We hired a car so it was perfect location to navigate. It’s close to Chania old town. Water pressure is great. Has TV you can use Netflix (if u have an account u can log in) View is amazing and the house is very spacious and has everything you need. The host was responsive and answered the questions we had. FYI, Two rooms have ACs and one room has a fan.

Maria was a great host. The air bnb and the view is fantastic. Close to amenities. However, a car is definitely needed to get out of the village!

We had a lovely time here. Really wish we were able to stay longer. Brilliant location, right beside the beach and nearby Kaylves town. Would recommend getting a car. The town is well within walking distance but the roads aren’t great for walking on. A lot of the time there’s no footpath. Nikos was lovely, always there for us when we had any questions. And the apartment is brilliant. Had everything we needed to cook, beach towels provided, lovely outside shared sitting area with a shower (really great for after the beach).

Thank you so much for adjusting the check-in time! I told them that I wanted to do laundry, so I was grateful that they gave me plenty of capsule detergent! The parking space was spacious, so that was really nice, and the swimming pool was so nice. It's far from the city center, but that's why I was able to enjoy it more quietly. The house is spacious, and the laundry dries well. The two dogs that Maria raises were so cute!

Probably one of the most amazing places you’ll stay anywhere! The attention to detail when the unit was remodeled, and the furnishings and extras added to make your stay comfortable, are incredible. It is located right in the middle of a vibrant area full of outdoor restaurants, music, and shopping. The hosts are extremely responsive, we were late getting in but that was not a problem. During our stay we unfortunately encountered one of the red dust storms that Chania periodically receives, but they came the next day and cleaned the outer areas. We were lucky with the parking the first three nights, but for some reason the fourth night was a challenge however we did eventually find a garage about 15 minutes away. Also, I would not recommend the unit for younger children or someone unsteady on their feet as the stairs in the unit are quite steep especially to the roof, and there is no washing machine though a laundromat is just a few minutes walk. Would absolutely stay again!

Mike was great from the start…we booked last minute and he texted me immediately. He made everything very easy and was extremely friendly when we got there to check in. He showed us everything about the apartment that we needed to know and gave us lots of tips on where to go to eat and to see the best sites. The rooftop space was beautiful and the apartment was very close to everything in the area… We were able to walk to everything! I would definitely recommend staying there… Thank you, Mike!

Great stay, great location, great views. Very close to many bars and restaurants. Not too noisy at night. The only slightly negative aspect was the shower. Basically made the entire floor flooded. Overall, i would recommend the place and would definitely return.

Hidden gem! Loved this home, literally two minute walk to Golden Beach. Katerina is so sweet (she met us in-person, had local restaurant recommendations, and even provided a bottle of wine). The home was perfect for our group of 6 (great value for the money, too). Would 100% come again!

Beautiful place and great host

Andreas was a friendly and responsive host who answered our questions promptly. The flat was well equipped and in an excellent location very close to the old town. We would definitely stay again when next back in Chania!

A wonderful stay, surrounded by the soothing sounds of birds and nature. The apartment is beautifully decorated and everything is of very high quality, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The terrace is simply outstanding: very spacious, perfectly arranged, and the cherry on top, a jacuzzi with an incredible view over the bay and the mountains. We were even lucky enough to enjoy some stunning sunsets from there. Stella is a lovely host, very attentive and responsive. Her recommendations were perfectly suited to our needs. We had a truly peaceful time in a small village nestled in the mountains, with a breathtaking view, it’s hard to find any better view. We’ll definitely be back for our next trip to Crete!
