Stunning Cottage in Weardale

HannahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed our stay! The house was so beautifully kept including the garden! There were so many little touches that really made our stay as easy as possible, every little detail really had been thought about. The waterfalls, walks, and surrounding villages were all beautiful. This was a last minute book for us and what a gem we found, we will definitely be returning. So if you’re thinking of booking, just do it! We were so glad we did!

Village property - Wayside Cottage DH8 9NL

PennyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Spacious and comfortable cottage ideal for a couple in a pretty village by the moors. We enjoyed visiting the surroundings including the city of Durham and Beamish Open Air Museum as well as castles and countryside. On street parking was no problem as we always parked in front of the cottage.

Idyllic Cottage Area Outstanding natural Beauty

Thomas And SheryalRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Stayed for 3 nights, so quiet and peaceful. Lots of birds to see and hear. One disappointment was that the local pub and cafe, a quick walk, were only open Thursday to Sunday and we were there from mon to Thursday. However, 2 miles down road is another pub and cafe, although for us, not walkable so we drove. It’s a bit small and dark downstairs but very doable and the upstairs bedroom is large and very bright, bathroom is a good size. We would definitely stay again. We also enjoyed the wood burner in living room.

Garden Cottage in tranquil North Pennine valley

MairRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We loved our stay at the cottage. Peter and his family were kind hosts, allowing free access to the beautiful grounds at their property. Our puppy loved being able to chase the resident dog (Betty) around the secure garden, a first for her! The cottage is immaculate and even nicer than the photos. The location was perfect for quiet long walks, remaining unspoiled from tourism. It really was lovely and we’d love to come back.

Private Annex in Corbridge Farmhouse

StephenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We wanted a countryside location and enjoyed walking to Corbridge as well as travelling to local sites near Hadrian’s Wall. The Annex was a great base, and we managed to cook in the alcove discreetly fitted within the living room. Sonja and John gave recommendations for routes, pubs and hidden gems such as Allen Banks and Steel Rigg car park. Sitting in their garden was great too, as was the welcome pack for our arrival. Many thanks again for sharing with us.
