Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Algonquin Highlands

Divine and beautiful surroundings, nestled amongst a large garden and trees with a distant view of the nearby lake, this Air BnB was a pure heaven for our one night stopover. Roberta was very communicative and provided detailed instructions the week before we arrived. The cabin was warm and spotless and included all amenities we needed (note there is no dishwasher). The only downside for us was the ventilation noise that came from outside and could be heard at regular intervals throughout the night. Bedding and linen ultra comfortable, plenty of sundries such as tea, coffee, sugar and sauces available to guests which is a bonus. We had a lovely stay with our 3 children and will treasure this special place forever in our hearts!

The rental place is clean and well organized. Nina is quick to respond. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place in the area.

Jane and Lori were amazing hosts and the property was beautiful! It had everything we needed from kitchen supplies to beach chairs and sports equipment! The area is very secluded in nature and it was very quiet and peaceful! The house was also very clean and comfy!

We had a lovely stay at Braden’s place. The home was a perfect gateway for 2 people. Big plus for having plenty of firewood for the guests to use. The home was clean & had all the amenities for a great relaxing stay.

This place was a great size for our group of 10 and had a very spacious and comfortable main room where we could all gather to eat, play games and relax. The sauna is a nice feature as well. The kitchen was very well equipped. Kersti and her co-hosts were very responsive, accomodating and helpful.

Nicole and Heather were great hosts who frequently checked in with us before, during and after our stay to make sure we had a great time. The place was as described and as shown in photos. We loved our time there and would stay again if we find ourselves in Port Hope!

We had a fantastic friend’s getaway at Trevor and Rachel’s place. It had everything we needed and more. The property was very inviting, relaxing and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and the hot tub was a treat at the end of each night. Trevor and Rachel were fantastic, responsive and attentive hosts and we would all highly recommend this lovely place!

Staying at Sebastian’s was magnificent, you can tell he really put attention into every detail, and he was very helpful with local suggestions and any questions I had. A bnb so perfect I’ve left a little piece of my heart.

Derek and Doreen were extremely friendly, responsive, and hospitable, everything in the suite and in the backyard was as shown, if not better. They even gave us a gift as we had mentioned our wedding day was the day prior, couldn’t recommend them and this place enough, we would book again in a heart beat, thanks for everything Derek and Doreen!

Such a beautifully decorated and well-appointed space for our last minute “mini-moon!” The apartment was spotless and had absolutely everything we needed, and then some. The thoughtful touches (robes, slippers, treats) were much appreciated. We loved the hot tub with the river view. Robert and Taurean were friendly and very responsive hosts! We would return in a heartbeat.

Will definitely be back. Very close to town, beautiful views, lots to do, super relaxing. The home is absolutely stunning and well kept.

Tranquil and completely private place. If you are looking for a perfect spot in heart of muskoka, this is the place for you! Loved the private dock and kayak facility. Super nice hosts. Would love to stay over on my next visit.

We loved our stay here! The house was spotless and had everything we could’ve needed and more. The dock and watercrafts were our favourite daytime spot, and the dining table was perfect for groups games in the evenings. We didn’t get to use the fire pits but there were two of them! We’ll definitely be back!

Despite the cold weather, my husband and I had an incredible time at Catherine’s cottage. Close enough to the city centre that we could grab anything we forgot, but isolated enough that we felt we were the only two people. Thank you so much for the great stay, we cannot wait to come back.

Laura was a responsive host. We had a great time at the cottage. The fireplace was a bonus for this spring’s cold and rainy weather. In fact, Laura brought us backup firewood to put our mind at ease. The wifi was stable as an added bonus. Thank you for having us, Laura!

Katherine and William offered us a perfect stay at their cottage on the rapids! They were extremely accommodating and allowed us a little extra time for check out after missing a day to unplanned circumstances. Finding the place was seamless- and we checked in to a super clean place, with a sweet handwritten note and gift for us on the kitchen table :-) The water was very fast at the time of our trip so we had difficulties with the boats and did not get to paddle, so just keep that in mind at the time of booking. Fishing isn’t super great off the dock so we had to travel around to calmer areas of the river for that, but there are many. When they say there are many bugs, they mean it! Cover yourself in bug spray before you leave to help with the swarms. The cabin has a great protective curtain between the bedroom which prevents bugs from getting in. They have plenty of supplies and come by to provide extra if you request it! Overall 10/10 experience and would stay again :-)

My partner and I stayed with our dog at The Escape Pod - would highly recommend. Hosts were amazing and responsive, and the place was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Would highly recommend, and we will be back for sure!

We booked the airbnb very last minute and Lixin reached out to us promptly and gave us clear instructions. The cottage is stunning , it actually looks better than the pictures. overall, we had a wonderful weekend over there.

We stayed at cabin #1 during October 11-13 weekend. We loved this place. Very clean, cute cabin, worth the price. Amy was very quick to respond. There are kayaks, canoes to use, firepit, bbq grill. We had awesome experience. I am looking forward to book it again. I highly recommend this place for with kids trip. There is beautiful playground by the beach.

Bongo and Andrea are wonderful hosts. The cabin is all we could have hoped for making our Lake Trout fishing trip a memorable one. Tavern across the road from Laker Cabin is absolutely the top shelf of friendliness and sociability ( which my fishing companion says works like a charm on me !! ) Wow can the Bongopix crew belt out a song or two. A great life trip back to cassette decks, Zenith television, VCR , books and games. Helps to herb out a bit too with a sudsy cold beverage. Oh add a Dominican cigar to chill with a fire pit with out the dreaded black flies soon to be on station. Thanks !!
