Holiday rentals with a patio in Alexandria

This home was wonderful and just as described. While Blair was out of town, Karen treated us wonderfully, even greeting us upon arrival and offering to help us get inside. We didn’t need much, but she was immediately reachable and ready to make our stay great. Would absolutely stay again!

This is a great place to stay and tour the DC Metro area - provided you have a car. Most days it would take us 30 minutes to get to and from DC though if we hit rush-hour, it was as long as an hour. The space is tidy and great. My kids love the pool, though it was a little cold for me-they swam there every night. Jennifer is great to communicate if you have any needs she gets stuff done right away. Note that there is only one bathroom, which can be a pain if you have a full house of six people. The washer and dryer are small so it will take you longer if you’re used to a full size. She had all the cooking methods and appliances available. The theater room has Netflix and Amazon prime ready for you to watch a show. There is even a popcorn maker. We did not use the gym, but it was nice - comparable to a small hotel gym. Property is in the owner’s basement, so there is some sound from upstairs as identified in the listing. Host stays out of your way but is there if you need anything.

Amy and her place were lovely for our family of 4. With two littles it worked very well and Amy even had toys for us- we also used her provided pack n play and some baby essentials. King Bed was extremely comfy, moderately firm. Shower was very nice. Cozy, comfy, had everything we needed. Amy was very responsive and helpful. We would gladly come back! Thanks Amy!!

Jennifer’s place was wonderful! We had a great stay here, and it was in a nice part of town. Plenty of places to eat as well. The apartment was as described.

We were so happy with this basement apartment and location. Robert was very helpful and responsive. Most days we drove to the mall parking garage near the Pentagon and took the metro from Pentagon City station to the Smithsonian station (the pre-loaded $30 card available online was perfect for our stay). Driving from the unit to Arlington took mere minutes. It isn't too far from Mt. Vernon either. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. We would stay here again! The current pictures under sell the unit. We were very happy to find it was bigger than expected. It could use a little updating, but we didn't mind. All we did was sleep, eat some breakfast, and return each night with aching feet and legs from a typical day of walking D.C.

The place has all the amenities like cooking, great shower, has a washing machine and dryer. Has netflix access so you wont bored. Easy access to highways. The neighborhood is very quiet and felt safe. We have a great time staying in this place.

Five stars. Great and communicative host, quality amenities, beautiful landscaping, and the in house gym was perfect for a late night workout. Ample parking and conveniently close to the city center.

Nice little house. Close to Old Town and many nice restaurants and shops. Clean neighborhood and it felt really safe. The house is small and a little bit older but it has everything you need. Plenty of seating, 2 decent sized bedrooms. Would certainly recommend to others. I actually enjoyed being able to pull my truck right up front and load and unload. Very solid spot for a weekend trip.

We had a family event over the Memorial Day weekend and booked Tewodros’s place in Alexandria for 3 nights. The house is located in a cul-de-sac in a quiet residential area with wooded land in the back. Inside it was neat, uncluttered, spotless and tastefully decorated. The living areas had ample seating for us to unwind at the end of the day. The beds were extremely comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep. Small things like charging ports for cellphones at the bedside tables were an added convenience. We parked one of our cars in the garage so we could park three cars without problems. Tewodros was a great host. Very responsive and helpful. The location of the house is great for trips to DC and the surrounding areas but I wish we had more free time just to relax in the house itself.

A wonderful experience in a gorgeous home! the perfect place for two families to blend. The house was even better than the photos, a rare occurrence. Erin had the house stocked with everything you could possibly need. All you have to bring is the food, should you choose to use the kitchen. Comfy beds, enough space for everyone to have private time. But also a great space for everyone to come together. Great location, safe neighborhood, close to Old Town and a short car ride from all the wonders of downtown DC. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this listing.

It's a great cozy place to stay as it says. The place is very close to the busline, which can take you to the train for the city. Howevr, I have 2 minor things: the path from street to the place where you stay is not ideal, requires climbing down the stones placed on the slope. Also, if you are a tall person, your knees might touch the bathroom cabinet while using the toilet.

This was the first time I’ve used Airbnb and I was so happy with my pictures. I personally think that the pictures don’t do justice for how nice it is. Vincent’s place is extremely clean and so cozy. The little details were appreciated- coffee bar, the stickers with the directions, makeup towel, board games, utensils and dish ware, etc. I had no issue with parking. I liked that Vincent’s place was a bit away from downtown (only about 15 mins drive) because the area was so quiet and peaceful. I loved my stay and hope to be back.

We had a great stay. The location is ideal, right off King St. The house is has a historic feel and modern touches. We loved lounging on the second story. The couch is so comfortable! If you have any mobility issues, just be warned this home has many sets of stairs (some steep) and the shower is built on a taller platform. If you are tall, you may be hitting your head in the bedroom! (But I believe the description warns you of this) Overall a great stay. We loved staying in Alexandria. Such a charming city and Thomas’ house matched!

Lee and Chrissy were great hosts. They were very responsive and addressed any issues that came up. We really felt that they cared about the quality of our stay. They recommended a taco truck nearby that we walked to on more than one occasion- it was so delicious. Also we loved the various floors of the home and the outdoor space. It was perfect for our family of 5! If you’ve had negative experiences with hosts in the past, you can rest assured you will not have those issues with Chrissy and Lee. Thank you guys for taking care of us and making sure your home felt like home to us!

This was a wonderful stay. I loved how they communicated. Very informative. I was in town for multiple events and the furthest i traveled was 12 min. The location is amazing. Compact amenities. Definitely recommend

I stayed for a couple nights at Dan's place. It was very comfy and very safe. He is highly responsive and helpful. I will definitely try and stay here again next time im in town!

This is a rare find and a real treat. I was visiting DC from the UK and had originally planned to stay in a hotel in downtown but as I live in a quiet English village I was worried about lack of sleep from the big city buzz. I searched for an Airbnb (as I always favour these v hotels) which highlighted safety and peace - and Celia's lovely apartment came up. This is such a fabulous place to stay in DC: very quiet and safe area, no night time noise, within 5 minutes of the metro station for a quick same-line journey to the centre, and very clean and comfortable. I loved every minute. The icing on the cake is it's such a great value. Thank you so much, Celia.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the spacious place with (private) parking just right across the street from us. It was quiet and the hosts were extremely responsive and super helpful and friendly! When we come to DC again, we'll definitely book if available :)

This was a perfect stay in a beautiful condo with a terrific host. There was nothing more you could ask for. Katie's condo was as neat as a pin, had everything I needed, and was both easily accessible to everything I wanted to get to, but restful and quiet. I liked it so much. I added it on an extra night.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The place was clean, well-designed, and very comfortable — it truly felt like a home away from home. The self check-in with a simple access code was super convenient and made everything easy from the start. The location is amazing — close to all the main tourist spots in Washington, DC. We were just minutes away from the National Mall, museums, monuments, and great places to eat. It was the perfect base for exploring the city. The host was kind, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Fast Wi-Fi, comfy beds, and a quiet, safe neighborhood made the whole experience even better. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting DC and would love to stay again!

Great apartment! Sean’s apartment is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It is completely quiet at night and the bed is good. There is a good vibe in the neighbourhood and the apartment is less than five minutes from a Green Line metro station that will take you directly to the best art museums in the city. Sean and his co-hosts are very helpful and responsive. I hope to come back to Washington one day and if that happens, I will definitely try to book Sean’s apartment again.
