Holiday rentals in Aldeia de Santa Margarida

Het was een heel mooi huisje, klein, maar alles was van goed materiaal, fijne douche, mooi ingericht met leuke houtdetails. We sliepen heerlijk met de ramen open en het geluid van het riviertje, verder was het helemaal stil ‘s nachts. Buiten fijne terrassen, heerlijk met onze voeten in het riviertje gezeten, een fantastische omgeving, helemaal vrij uitzicht aan de achterkant van het huis en een lieflijk gehuchtje. We liepen elke dag een half uurtje naar Gois, een mooi dorp met rivier en heerlijke gebakjes bij de paladeria. Wij vonden het heel fijn!

We had a wonderful stay at Paula's casa! The house was not only clean and cosy but also incredibly well thought out – probably the most thoughtfully designed place we've ever stayed in. Every detail was taken care of, from the fully stocked kitchen and laundry facilities to the well-equipped bathroom and cleaning supplies. It truly felt like a home away from home, with everything we could possibly need right at our fingertips. Enjoying mornings on the balcony was the perfect extra touch – so peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely be returning! Paula was also very responsive to our messages and a delight to communicate with throughout. Thank you so much for such a fantastic stay! xxx

Desde do momento que chegamos a casa nos sentimos acolhidos pela Dona Ana. Foi tudo como descrito e ainda melhor. A casa era super confortável, preparada para o frio e com tudo que tínhamos direito. Muitos jogos, livros e cozinha completa para passar o Natal. A casa era em uma região calma mas que tinha tudo a volta. Exatamente o que procurávamos. Obrigada por toda a recepção e carinho. Já queremos reservar para o ano que vem. Foi um prazer passar o Natal em Proença - a-Velha.

We really loved staying in Orca at Helena's place. Because of the season, Helena was in Lisbon and could not be there in person to help us, but her friend Fátima lives nearby and was very responsive and attentive. We felt very welcome! The region is amazing: Quiet, peaceful, lots of nature. This also comes with its caveats. We work remotely so we need a good Internet connection. Unfortunately, the Internet was not so fast, but this was expected. It's definitely fast enough for vacation. Also, the electricity went out after we turned on the washing machine; these things can happen when living in a rural region. However, all in all, we really liked staying at Helena's place and enjoyed the region and its people. We would definitely come back.

Wij hadden een fantastisch verblijf van 2 weken in dit prachtige huis van Eric. Heerlijk rustig en mooi uitzicht over het bos, heuvels en zelfs het bekende Monsanto was vanuit de tuin goed te zien. En dan de variëteit aan vogels zoals de HOP, de Bijeneter, de Koekoek en nog veel meer... Ook de achtertuin met de sinaasappel bomen was een verrassing. Wat is echte verse sap toch lekker!!! Het dorp Proenca a Velha was ook leuk met de steegjes, kerkje, museumpje en huisjes. Het café beneden was handig voor "vergeten" boodschappen. De inwoners van het dorp allemaal heel vriendelijk. De supermarkt in Idanha a Nova was heel goed te bereiken (ongeveer 10 km). Wat hebben we genoten in het huis zelf, de grote keuken, de gezellige authentieke huiskamer, de slaapkamers, badkamers, de houtkachel en de buitenruimte voor het huis (heel privé). Fijn zitje om te vertoeven. Kortom: ZEKER EEN AANRADER!! Dankjewel Eric voor alle snelle communicatie. Hopelijk tot een volgende keer.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön, mit vielen kleinen liebevollen Details und einer geschmackvollen Einrichtung. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die U terkunft ist sehr ruhig gelegen und man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Auto. Außerordentlich ist der Blick durch eine grosse Glasfront aus dem Wohnzimmer auf eine wunderschöne von Bergen umgebene Landschaft. Zum Aussenbereich gehört ein Pool, der mit Bachwasser gefüllt ist, eine Sitzecke vor und hinter dem Haus, alles mit schönem Panorama. Susan ist ausgesprochen freundlich, sympathisch und hilfsbereit.

A Lord of the Rings lover’s dream! We had a wonderful stay. The property is so peaceful and is nestled close to the mountains. The hosts were very kind!

The home was comfy and in the most stunning grounds with views across the entire valley. The pool is beautiful and clean and the grass of the garden lawn is beautiful. Inside has a lounge which is rare in Portugal as well as comfy beds and plenty of space. The showers are quite narrow to get in and out of but that is the only small negative I can think of! Joao is also lovely and always on hand to help when needed.
