It is a little piece of Aurora's history located right off our town square. The house can sleep 4, however I would say best suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. The environment is beautiful, and the happiest part of each day is sitting on the rocking chair by the door, enjoying the breeze and letting my mind wander. We were in town for a weekend event. This house had all we needed. There were a total of 7 beds counting the one down in the basement. There was a third complete bathroom in the basement that was a surprise as we thought there were only two. Huge flat screen tvs both upstairs and down with lots of channel and streaming options. The kitchen was complete with pretty much all necessary for making meals. Our stay in Grand Island was for an annual event. Everyone in our party agreed they wanted to stay here again next year. We are very glad we found this spot! We come to Grand Island every year at this time and the home is right between the sporting event we attend and all the local stores/restaurants. Additionally, the home looked and felt like it was brand new and had never been stayed in. Completely spotless and tidy with everything we would have at our own home. To top it all off we were able to meet Sean the host and he was extremely nice and accommodating. We will definitely be trying to stay here in the future…highly recommend!

Yes - it IS rustic as the title suggests, but also very nice and peaceful. We found that navigating gravel roads for the last couple of miles was part of the fun on this trip (we're city folks), and once there, the guesthouse was very clean and came equipped with everything we needed.
