The bedroom has a king-size bed and TV, the den has a full sofa, recliner, and TV with HD antenna & Netflix - NO CABLE. There is a full kitchen, bath, washer/dryer and walk-in closet. There is a small deck with a table and chairs overlooking the lake. Guests have access to the pier, 2 kayaks, canoe, swing, firepit, grill & gardens. We DO have WiFi.

Fifteen minutes to Morrow Mountain, Lake Tillery- Badin Lake, and Uwharrie recreational area. 8 miles to Dennis Vineyards. Asheboro Zoo is one hour. Each guest over one is an additional $15 per day per person—kids under 2 N/C. $10 per day per animal. PETS MUST BE CRATED WHEN HOME ALONE. Airbnb cannot add the correct pet fee; we will request it after booking.

Family Vacation Home on 20 Acres w/ Bass Pond!

Vacation getaway on 20 acres. 1100 sqft wrap around covered porch overlooking a 3/4 acre private pond. The pond is well stocked with bass and brim for easy catching. Large fire pit with log benches between the house and pond. Great sound system! Guests are able to connect their device to the sound system and enjoy their music inside and out. The pond includes a paddle boat and there are life jackets in the barn. Downstairs has a fridge, pool table, dart board, & other games for our guests.

An update on this listing. The county is currently working on installing a new waterline on a neighboring road and storing their heavy equipment on the same road as this Airbnb so occasionally throughout the day, especially the morning and evening there are beeping noises from the workers setting up and Ending their day. No complaints so far, but I want everyone to be aware. It hasn’t scared the deer off.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and cozy lakefront property. The home was spotless and inviting, with a perfect setup for a relaxing getaway. Being right by the lake made it even more special; our family had a blast using the kayaks and other lake toys provided. There was a small hiccup during our stay, but Amanda was incredibly responsive and proactive. She went above and beyond by offering us a later checkout time to make up for it—such thoughtful hospitality is rare and truly appreciated. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty of outdoor fun. We’d love to come back!

This property reminded me of our childhood summer vacations spent at Uncle Bill's place on the lake. The family carried in our luggage and 'stuff,' and that was the last that the car was used, at least for the kids. The summer will be prime weeks for this property. We picked this property because of its proximity to the BSA Camp Barnhardt, where the Nordic Forge Festival was held. But the outside sitting area with the hot tub far outshone the other options. The first night, we were settled in and using it before sundown. We stayed out there until after the street lights came on. The evening ended with a long soak in the hot tub. Our son brought us breakfast in the morning, and we sat at the kitchen bar and enjoyed the company before we headed to the festival. Our son was impressed to the point of suggesting we book this place whenever we're in the area. The place passed my hook test. There were hooks where you needed them. In the bathroom, hang a bathroom kit. Till next time

This is my second stay at Pamela’s. I wanted some relaxation and peace in a pretty, quiet location close(ish) to home. The Sunny Cottage delivers. Gail had it super clean when I arrived. It rained/stormed the first 2 days I was there and that was perfectly fine because the cottage had everything I needed to make some meals and have some down time. Once the rain moved out, I got out on some local trails and onto the SUP at the super close neighborhood boat landing. This place is a gem and I call first dibs if Pamela ever decides to sell ;)
