Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Ainaloa

Everything was as described and we enjoyed our stay at the property - it was between Hilo and Volcanoes which worked well for us. Cooling the bedroom down does take some time, as the A/C is only in the living room and the cool air doesn't get into the bedrooms very easily, combined with the slat windows not sealing so some of the cool air leaks out of the house. However, the house was very clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay there.

This was such a great place to stay near Volcano National Park!! Very clean, comfortable, private little cabin really!!! Super back deck- outdoor shower was awesome and hot tubing at night was very romantic!! With breakfast at the front door every morning we felt very pampered!!

Just a magical place. Loved the views of the lava flows, a great view of the ocean in the distance and just a peaceful neighborhood. Jade was absolutely fantastic in communication and we appreciated her local recommendations. If we’re ever fortunate enough to return to the big island, we would for sure stay here again.

Tisiphonie's place was perfect! Great location to get to all areas of the island that we wanted to, private and peaceful setting(loved the front porch in the mornings), very clean and well maintained, spacious with plenty of room for large family with young adults(7 of us total), friendly host with a greeting and texts to let us know the volcano was erupting, overall great place. Wish we could have stayed longer on Big Island and in this beautiful home.

Absolutely loved our stay! This Airbnb is a hidden gem nestled in a serene rainforest—waking up each morning to birdsong and sipping coffee on the back porch while watching colorful birds flit through the trees was pure magic. The home itself was comfy, clean, and just the right size for our family of four. John is a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. His insider tips led us to some stunning local beaches and made our visit to Volcanoes National Park even more memorable. If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway with unique local experiences, this is the place. Highly recommend!

The house is spacious and cooled by ocean breezes. I enjoyed the sound of the ocean at night. Lindsey and her family are attentive but not intrusive. They even thought to leave a cooler and freezer packs for those long adventures we took around the Island. My friends and I plan to book their house again.

A great place to relax with your family. Green, quiet, full of exotic vegetation. You are surrounded by a garden of papaya, kiwi, and avocado. A nice porch where you can drink coffee and have breakfast. A cozy house, with all the comforts you need in such a place. The host baked us a cake and gave us papaya jam and fresh fruit from the garden. It's a shame I was here so briefly!

The Cliff house is one of the best and most unique places we’ve been stayed. The house is located in a very private neighborhood with cliffs and ocean views. The architecture of the house is very unique and beautiful, with windows and balconies can see the stunning views from every room. There are plenty of outdoor spaces for relaxing and chilling. You can watch sunrise and stargazing from the balcony. We just love the house, the secluded area, and the peaceful nature. We could stay there for a long time. It’s not far from some major attractions, like The Volcano National parks, a black-sand beach, and a spectacular green sand beach, and many waterfalls. Host Yvette is very friendly and pleasant to work with. She met us at the house upon arrival and gave us many great information about the place and surrounding areas. Overall, we had a fantastic experience in the cliff house, one of the most memorable places.

Great place to stay located nearby both Volcanoes National Park and Hilo. The unit was clean and comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood. The host was very easy to communicate with and replied quickly on questions. Great place to stay outside of town and would recommend again.

The stay with Robynne was amazing! It's rare to find such a great host and such an incredibly cosy and super clean Airbnb. We would have loved to stay longer. We couldn't have imagined a better stay. It felt like home. We also got to meet the two huskies and they were super cute. All in all: 10 out of 10!! Mahalo Robynne and thank you for your hospitality!

What a great place to stay if you are visiting the Volcano area. The unit is warm and inviting and in a great little bush setting. Ideal for a base camp just 8 minutes from the National Park. The unit is just as described and a nice little breakfast was supplied. Highly recommended for a stay.

The neighborhood was peaceful, the beds were very comfortable, all the information was clear, our host was highly responsive and kind. We had everything we need to make our stay wonderful

Truly an oasis! Dana and Gregory are wonderful hosts and Rivendell was one of our favorite Air BnB stays. The apartment was spotless and well-stocked, the bed was so comfortable, and the hot tub was very well-maintained and heated quickly. Now for the best part! The landscaped property and waterfall made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. We wished we were staying longer. Mahalo for the perfect weekend stay! We will be back!

Really quaint little place, exactly as described. Richard was a great host and provided everything we needed. It is slightly off the main road and down a gravel lane but the instructions were very clear and precise. We would come back.

I loved how the balcony looks over to lush greenery, makes it feel like your own private oasis. And it had everything I needed for my stay.

Unit was very clean and host provided good information-follow her instructions to find unit. Condo community is a bit aged/in need of maintenance but the unit was very well maintained. We used laundry and this worked very well.

Linda was so quick to answer and her place was even better than pictured. Completely modern and updated, with a super warm feel! Had all of the appliances you could need, and the location was great. Surrounding area was beautiful. Would absolutely stay here again and truly recommend it!!

Ryan’s Condo Unit is the perfect place to stay on the east side of the Big Island. It’s nearby the main road, easily accessible to get your vacation plans going, but also secluded away so that you have some privacy, some needed peace and you won’t hear the sounds of rushing cars. We paid extra for AC which was perfect because after our first long day of touristing it up and arriving later than expected, we walked in to a very cool room. I highly recommend adding this when booking. The pool was also an added bonus and their instructions were easy to follow. We swam laps, admired the different types of surrounding trees and lounged around by the lounge chairs. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Ryan and Gina for posting this beautiful hale for us to enjoy. (;

Joe and Cindy’s place in Hilo was a great base of operations for all the adventuring we had lined up while visiting the area. The location is walkable to several great restaurants, shops, Ola Brewing, and 7-11(best musubi on the island). The bed was super comfortable. The space was clean, uncluttered, and felt larger than the description would insist. Loved the tv hidden in a frame with vintage Nintendo games and two wireless controllers. The hosts are responsive when asked a question. There was an unfortunate issue that happened on the grounds in front of the lanai while we were there. They addressed the issue showing aloha hospitality when things didn’t go perfectly. The scooters they have available for rent were in great condition and super convenient for getting distances that are borderline walkable. Hilo is a great little downtown. So many cool things to do and see! Mahalo, Joe and Cindy! We now love Hilo!

This place was perfect and exactly what we needed. It was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located to everything we wanted to do on the Big Island, without costing a fortune.
