Holiday rentals in Agia Fotini

We had a wonderful week staying in Michalis’ apartment. Views from both balconies from Apartment Two were spectacular, panoramic of the Amari Valley and Mount Ida still snow capped in the background. The apartment was immaculate and suited our needs very well. Any additional requests were dealt with swiftly. We mainly catered for ourselves in the morning and had two lovely breakfasts in Michalis’ Taverna. Meronas is a pretty village and enjoyed meals at Taverna’s Alona & Moschovolies. There was great hiking from the doorstep and only a short drive to Patsos Gorge. There is an excellent patisserie and supermarket in Gerikari a short drive away and supermarkets and pharmacy in Agia Fotini, 2.5 km away. We stayed end of April which was great as not too hot to hike but be aware many Taverna’s closed this time of year as off season. Would highly recommend a stay at Michalis’ apartments, another unforgettable holiday for us!

The villa was spotless, and everything was in perfect condition. A bit out of the way but with a car was the perfect spot; overlooking the sea and a 10 minutes drive to the nearest village and supermarkets. Really close to Kourtaliotiko gorge and waterfall. Overall was really impressed with this villa and would happily visit again!

We loved staying at Mansio in Rethymno. It was right in old town just steps from restaurants but on a quiet street. We had a rental car and they offered free parking in a local lot a short walk away. Check in was easy. There was a staffed desk so someone available to answer all questions and they were extremely friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and the seating area to eat was beautiful. The back of the building was a park always full of families and a school. We loved watching local families enjoy their town. We even got to see a concert event with area children singing. There is some noise from the park, but it did not bother us. If you are looking for absolute quiet you should look towards the edge of town instead.

Fick ett fint välkomnande! Bodde i lägenheten en vecka med mina vänner och boendet var över våra förväntningar. Det såg ut som på bilderna. Superfint! Alla var väldigt nöjda med bokningen av boendet och skulle kunna tänka sig att åka dit igen.

Ett fantastiskt hus med underbar havsutsikt och alla bekvämligheter! Smakfullt inrett med bra kvalitet både inomhus och utomhus. Mycket privat läge utan insyn. Ljuvlig altan med pool, parasoller och utemöbler. Blev mottagna personligen i huset på utsatt tid och fick en rundvisning av huset och alla funktioner samt en korg med specialiteter från Kreta. Gångavstånd ca 5-10 min till Plakias med affärer och restauranger. Det enda vi hade önskat var några fler krokar att hänga kläder på.

Book this! Amalen Suites (only 5 for the entire property) is in the perfect spot! Close to everything but at night quiet and extremely secure! My favorite part of my stay was the staff that ran Amalen! Thank you so much Maria, Jakob, Tolis, and Josie!!! Everyone was so so so kind and gave amazing recommendations for my stay. The breakfast served every morning was phenomenal as well!!! Oh and! My all time favorite products are used at this location (Olive Era) so I was able to buy some bottles to take home too. And because I was traveling alone they checked in with me everyday and made sure I was safe during my stay which means a lot! I truly had an amazing time at this hotel and highly highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND for couples that are traveling through Crete. The city in which Amalen is located is large and can be tough to find parking all of the time so I also did love that this was close to many restaurants, shops, IG worthy cute alleys and a 2 minute walk to the ocean. Mehr geht einfach nicht! Die Villa ist schöner als auf den Bildern! Es ist einer der schönsten Orte, eins der schönsten Häuser und einer der besten Ecke auf Kreta! Allerdings muss man mit sich selbst etwas anfangen können, denn es ist wenig drum herum los. Aber so etwas hochwertiges haben wir selten gesehen! Alle Materialien des Hauses sind so toll zusammen ausgesucht und es ist einfach nur wunderschön 🤩

There are some places that we have traveled to that check all the boxes but Muar Suites did much more than that! Besides being romantic, beautiful and clean we were met by one of the kindest hosts we have ever stayed with. Einat welcomed us herself with warm and generous hospitality and authentic concern for our enjoyment of her lodging and the area, she had amazing recommendations for places to eat and visit! Do not miss the wonderful breakfast served on the terrace of your own suite! We are so happy we booked the Muar Suite, beautiful views, amazing sheets and bed and the bathtub was a dream to relax in!
