Holiday rentals in Agia Fotini

We had a wonderful week staying in Michalis’ apartment. Views from both balconies from Apartment Two were spectacular, panoramic of the Amari Valley and Mount Ida still snow capped in the background. The apartment was immaculate and suited our needs very well. Any additional requests were dealt with swiftly. We mainly catered for ourselves in the morning and had two lovely breakfasts in Michalis’ Taverna. Meronas is a pretty village and enjoyed meals at Taverna’s Alona & Moschovolies. There was great hiking from the doorstep and only a short drive to Patsos Gorge. There is an excellent patisserie and supermarket in Gerikari a short drive away and supermarkets and pharmacy in Agia Fotini, 2.5 km away. We stayed end of April which was great as not too hot to hike but be aware many Taverna’s closed this time of year as off season. Would highly recommend a stay at Michalis’ apartments, another unforgettable holiday for us!

The villa was spotless, and everything was in perfect condition. A bit out of the way but with a car was the perfect spot; overlooking the sea and a 10 minutes drive to the nearest village and supermarkets. Really close to Kourtaliotiko gorge and waterfall. Overall was really impressed with this villa and would happily visit again!

We loved staying at Mansio in Rethymno. It was right in old town just steps from restaurants but on a quiet street. We had a rental car and they offered free parking in a local lot a short walk away. Check in was easy. There was a staffed desk so someone available to answer all questions and they were extremely friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and the seating area to eat was beautiful. The back of the building was a park always full of families and a school. We loved watching local families enjoy their town. We even got to see a concert event with area children singing. There is some noise from the park, but it did not bother us. If you are looking for absolute quiet you should look towards the edge of town instead.

I can’t recommend the apartment enough. It was the best equipped rental I have ever stayed in and the location is beyond fabulous. A few steps down to the beach, the views from the terrace, 2 mins away from a handful of great restaurants, a cafe right next door and 15 mins walk into the main town. It has everything for a relaxed stay but everything on your doorstep when you want it. The house is as the photos depict - stylish and luxurious. A stay here will not disappoint! Loved every moment of it and wonderful hosts.

A fantastic house with wonderful sea views and all the comforts! Tastefully decorated with good quality both indoors and outdoors. Very private location without visibility. Lovely balcony with pool, parasols and outdoor furniture. We were personally received in the house at the appointed time and were given a tour of the house and all its features, as well as a basket of specialties from Crete. Walking distance about 5-10 minutes to Plakias with shops and restaurants. The only thing we wished for was a few more hooks to hang clothes on.

Book this! Amalen Suites (only 5 for the entire property) is in the perfect spot! Close to everything but at night quiet and extremely secure! My favorite part of my stay was the staff that ran Amalen! Thank you so much Maria, Jakob, Tolis, and Josie!!! Everyone was so so so kind and gave amazing recommendations for my stay. The breakfast served every morning was phenomenal as well!!! Oh and! My all time favorite products are used at this location (Olive Era) so I was able to buy some bottles to take home too. And because I was traveling alone they checked in with me everyday and made sure I was safe during my stay which means a lot! I truly had an amazing time at this hotel and highly highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND for couples that are traveling through Crete. The city in which Amalen is located is large and can be tough to find parking all of the time so I also did love that this was close to many restaurants, shops, IG worthy cute alleys and a 2 minute walk to the ocean. The best villa we have ever been to. We didn’t want to leave, the villa has everything you need. Access to the beach, whirpool, beautiful pool, bbq place. Amazing. Really impressed. I hope we will come back. Thank you!

There are some places that we have traveled to that check all the boxes but Muar Suites did much more than that! Besides being romantic, beautiful and clean we were met by one of the kindest hosts we have ever stayed with. Einat welcomed us herself with warm and generous hospitality and authentic concern for our enjoyment of her lodging and the area, she had amazing recommendations for places to eat and visit! Do not miss the wonderful breakfast served on the terrace of your own suite! We are so happy we booked the Muar Suite, beautiful views, amazing sheets and bed and the bathtub was a dream to relax in!
