Widgeon and nest

DugaldRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Excellent accommodation and location, a real memorable trip. The restaurant is pretty much 'on-site' and was excellent. One negative - the hob. Seems like a small thing but when you are cooking for 8 and struggling to hold water at the boil it is frustrating. It was so weak. Since it is accommodation for 8, it really ought to be a more powerful hob. Frying bacon took *ages* ! Otherwise amazing, and highly recommended *****

8 Berth Luxury Lodge Royal Deeside

SeanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely stay and very helpful host. The lodge is spacious, clean and private and a great location for exploring the area. Only criticism would be the noise from the boiler and fridge were a little disturbing for sleeping in the adjacent bedroom.

Stylish and spacious lodge near Banchory

AdonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Close enough to the Banchory grocery stores and many restaurants, but out in a nice quiet country setting with a beautiful view out the living room floor-to-ceiling windows. We loved the hot tub on the back deck with its crystal clear water. The cabin warms up fast when it’s cool outside. This was a lovely place to stay a few days while exploring Aberdeenshire.

Escape to an off grid bothy in Scotland with sauna

SamRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Things to watch out for before you start your journey. Request the additional directions and do not rely upon Sat Nav to get you there. Sat nav takes you down the wrong track and I ended up 1 mile from the Bothy in a field stuck at a locked gate. I didn’t notice the additional note about directions being supplied on request and went with the sat nav. It was also pointed out that low slung cars are not suitable for the track to the Bothy and this is also something I found out the hard way. Car took a bit of a battering especially with the extra journey of having to go back and find the correct track to the bothy. I just want to point out that all of the above was of my own doing and could have been avoided if I had requested the additional directions and paid heed to the warnings with regards type of car. Apart from all that the Bothy was exactly as described and really is an off grid experience. Beautiful surroundings and as long as you don’t get lost makes for a very relaxing stay

Pine Cabin, Strathyre, a cosy escape from it all.

KalwaneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Cozy little cabin in a very beautiful village, close to a few Munro's. The gardens are beautiful if you can brave the midgies or the wind is up. lot of nice walks around through beautiful woods, by the riverside and through wildflower meadows if you don't fancy a Munro.

Had such a lovely stay! We only stayed one night as we were stopping off on a long journey. We were travelling with two young children, they loved the outdoor space, the hut had everything we needed and plenty of space for the four of us. Lovely little touches (like marshmallows and tablet !). Thank you so much for having us at your lovely home, it was fantastic !

Red Deer Chalet, Ardeonaig

RachelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a week and was amazed at how quickly it went. Lovely place: great views and outdoor space for me and my two dogs to enjoy the sunshine. Comfy beds, warm, liked the initial space that you walked into for outdoor gear and lots of coat hooks. No problems with connection (liked the Roku). Freezer spacious for dog food. Enough kitchen gadgets to please me! Responsive and welcoming hosts. Thankyou.

The Cabin (The Hidey Hut)

AbiRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Had a lovely stay in the cabin. It was very imaginatively created from recycled materials but really comfortable and warm. The cooking facilities were good and I had everything I needed to prepare a meal. Heather was so friendly and helpful. The lack of running water might be more of an issue for a longer stay but for a couple of nights it was no problem at all, with bottles of water and filtered tanks provided. It was a good excuse to go to the nearby woodland sauna anyway!

Luxury lodge wrapped in exceptional scenery

DavidRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The lodge was cosy and comfortable. Although several decades old, it had very recently been updated with new furniture, and new fittings in the kitchen and bathroom. The lodge was conveniently close to the loch-side, and the site itself was well situated for access to Killin and the surrounding countryside.

Our Log House in the woods

EmmaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a fab week in the loghouse- it was like a home from home; very spacious, relaxing and comfortable for our family and pup. We really appreciated the blankets for us and the dog as well as the stove which we put to good use in the evenings. We walked or cycled in the area every day and loved heading out straight from the cabin to explore the many paths on our doorstep. We managed to see deer out the kitchen window as well as a red squirrel! Great space for kids and adults alike! Handy to have the pub/restaurant so close although it’s only open Thurs to Sunday! Richard was super helpful and responsive to our messages. We’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for a cosy cabin and love the outdoors!

Red Squirrel's Drey

EllaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a tranquil and peaceful couple of days in Red Squirrel’s Drey. The cabin is equipped with lovely hot water and heating so you are never cold. I’d recommend hiring bikes from aberfoyle as this was a highlight to our trip as we got to see the beautiful sights in a way you will not see in a car. I would also suggests preparing food before coming as I would not recommend the faerie tree inn, the food is very basic. The black bull inn is a nicer experience, but again the food is not that great. Apart from that we loved the airbnb and had the best time :)

Nicolas place is very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. We went with a toddler, the entire premise is super clean and it gave me peace of mind. She gave very clear instructions on check in and how to reach the premise. Within one mile, there is a coop and spar. We will definitely come back!
