We all had a truly wonderful stay at The Dairy in South Wales. The cottage is charming, beautifully kept, and perfectly nestled among rolling hills and countryside walks — an ideal spot to switch off and unwind from the demands of everyday life. The surroundings are peaceful and scenic, with plenty of walking trails right on the doorstep perfect for our 2 dogs what where with us!Whether you're after a gentle stroll or something more adventurous, the area is a dream for nature lovers. Our hosts were absolutely fantastic — warm, welcoming, and always on hand if needed, without being intrusive. You can tell they really care about making guests feel at home. Even giving us milk that we forgot to bring with us-! Lifesavers! If you're looking for a peaceful escape with stunning views, fresh air, and a real sense of calm, I can't recommend The Dairy enough. I left feeling rested, recharged, and already planning a return visit! Thank you so much guys, see you soon!

Sharon and Charlie are great hosts! They were very responsive in the lead up to our stay and very helpful with recommendations during our stay. We even received a lovely gift from Sharon! The cottage was perfect for our little honeymoon/early birthday celebrations. Everything you could need was there with the extra luxuries of the hot tub, BBQ hut and sauna. My husband particularly enjoyed the BBQ hut! The garden area was perfect for our dog who absolutely loved it! The location was great! It felt secluded but there was plenty of restaurants, takeaways and shops within a short distance. We had the best time and would definitely come back to stay again!

A lovely quiet stone cottage with a peaceful setting around it. Very comfortable and the hot tub was great, especially after a day walking or cycling. Dai & Jan are very welcoming. This place had everything we needed for a week away.

We had a fantastic stay for 2 nights at Mabel Cottage. Debbie was on hand to greet us immediately upon arrival and she talked us through all of the relevant instructions for the hot tub etc. Very friendly and approachable and made it clear she was just over the way if we needed something. The barn was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. Towels were provided for the bathroom and the hot tub and we had a relaxing time. The wood fired hot tub was great......we spent about 2+ hours in there on our 2nd night. We also made use of the BBQ under the covered area (needed in the Welsh rain). The local area is stunning and there are lots of dry and wet weather things to do within the Brecons area. Revisiting the Waterfalls was a highlight ......you do need to be energetic as described as some steep gradients and uneven steps/ground! All in all we had a fantastic time at Mabel and would definitely stay again!

If you want a chilled couple days with friends then this is the place for you. Beautiful cottage, very clean, plenty of space, lovely views, great indoor hot tub which over looks the valley. I would highly recommend this place and the hosts Serena and Marc, made it extra special buy leaving personal touches as it was my birthday ( prosecco, a card, a cake, a banner) thanks for a great weekend.

Lovely cottage and felt right at home with the dogs. Very secure and safe to let them run free. Cottage very cosy and bonus of a hot tub. Peaceful area to chill out and enjoy the scenery. Many thanks lesley and tigs we will be back with are four legged best friends 🧡 💙❤️🐕

Ger Y Nant was a little dream to stay in. All the basics for a comfortable stay, lovely shower and gorgeous hot tub! Quiet location, really able to soak in the tranquility and peace. Lovely hosts, so friendly and polite (with gorgeous, friendly dogs!!) but left you to enjoy the calm with your own private space and garden to relax in. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! We truly appreciated the homely touches and comfortable layout. We cannot wait to book again in the future!

My friend and I had a lovely, tranquil stay with our border terrier. The garden is enclosed and wonderful. The view is stunning and the house is cosy and welcomingly rustic. Great walks in the surrounding hills and by the river Towy. Llandovery is the only close by small town with all that you could need. I look forward to coming out there again.

Marilyn was lovely. It was our wedding weekend and she left us a few gifts which was a wonderful touch. Surroundings were stunning, we’re just sad we didn’t get chance to do the walks from the property! Will have to visit again soon.

We had a fantastic week at Aberdar. The weather was amazing all week, so we spent our time outside enjoying the garden, orchard and stream, and sitting at the various seating areas to avoid the wind if it got too strong. We only made 3 trips away from Aberdar.. a stunning part of Wales and it was hard to put the camera down. A pleasure to drive on the pothole free roads and we hardly saw anyone apart from friendly farmers. Our anxious rescue dog was very happy enjoying the space and he was relaxed all week, as were we. Aberdar has it all.. very clean and homely, very well equipped with everything we needed, useful information file provided for guests, beautiful views and loved hearing the sheep, cows and stream. If you are tall, remember to duck when going through the doorways.. we kept forgetting! This was a very special trip for us and we will be returning!

Fantastic little cottage, right in the center of Cardigan. Lots of charming character, and plenty of space to move around inside. Emma was the perfect hostess, always responsive to any messages. Thoroughly recommended this cottage and hostess.

Stunning cottage and location with the most amazing views. The cottage was fabulous and a great place to relax and absorb the beauty. It was cosy and we felt right at home. There were plenty of books and maps with good WiFi Such was the raw beauty of the location that we didn’t once put the TV on and instead watched nature and birdlife. The bird life was incredible and we lost count of the number of close up red kites we saw. The facilities were great and the kitchen was well supplied with pans and utensils. There was an abundance of hot water and the bed was plenty comfy enough to get a good nights rest. With walks from the door into the vast wilderness this was a perfect off grid location We would return in a heartbeat. There were no negatives and it’s probably the best cottage we’ve stayed at. There’s a dog friendly enclosed garden with seating and a bench. Perfect for sitting out with a glass of wine and reading! Jon’s made this cottage a perfect retreat.

Had an amazing stay in the cottage. was perfect for waking up to amazing sea views, dolphin spotting and walking to the beach. The cottage was beautiful with everything you would need and we loved early evening drinks on the terrace. Thank you and we will be back I'm sure x

Absolutely book this!.. because waiting for you is a comforting hug-of-a-cottage. Spotlessly clean, light and generously proportioned rooms welcome you. The hosts are accommodating and responsive, but never crowd. The location is so very peaceful; set on a working farm, you will relax instantly to the sound of birdsong and distant cattle. There is outside space to enjoy the wonderful sunsets over far-reaching views. Simply lovely! We would return in a heart-beat.

We had a wonderful stay! The pictures don't do this place justice, it's a paradise. There were thoughtful touches throught, we can't thank you enough for the basket of snacks! The area was so private and peaceful. The hosts greeted us in person and were so kind. The bed was extremely comfy and the house was stocked with everything you needed. We will definitely be back!

The cottage is very well equipped, immaculately clean and close to the centre of town, restaurants, shops and the harbour and coastline. The hosts were excellent, providing recommendations and proactively explaining everything from check-in to check-out. Highly recommended as a base to explore Cardigan Bay and beyond.

What an absolute gem. This was definitely home from home. All the extras such as tea, coffee, cleaning essentials. These hosts had thought of it all. Had a fantastic Easter break here, 2 adults & our cockapoo. Have left with lovely memories.

We had such a lovely stay here! Great location, absolutely fabulous house - the boys especially loved the games room! So peaceful and only 5 mins to the sea :-) Even the bad weather didn’t spoil things! Suky was an amazing host and always ready to answer any questions. We will be back! Beautiful cottage in a peaceful hamlet, wonderfully maintained - bliss! We spent four days at Lee's fisherman's cottage and despite heavy rain and a breakdown on the way there it was perfect. The cottage is as described although more spacious than we expected from the pictures and Lee has thought of everything. The welcome gift and comprehensive guide were much appreciated as was the spotless condition of the cottage. We were cold and damp when we arrived but the wood burning stove soon warmed us all up. As others have said before the beds are VERY comfortable and the showers were very good too. We spent the days exploring Aberystwyth (steam train to Devils Bridge and Waterfall walk was excellent) and also walking the costal path to Aberaeon and had a great break. No issues at all and Lee deserves the 5 star rating!
