At approximately 5200 feet above sea level, the Lake Atitlan area enjoys year-round spring-like weather (70s to low 80s during the day and 60s at night). Although temperatures remain relatively constant throughout the year the weather is marked by two distinctive seasons: the rainy season (May to October) and the dry season (November to April). During the rainy season the mountains and volcanoes surrounding the lake are verdant green. The mornings are generally crystal clear, while the afternoons bring spectacular showers that are a sight to behold as they roll in over the lake. During the dry season it is rare to receive any precipitation at all. La Casa Colibri has five luxurious guest rooms each with en-suite bath. Four rooms have spacious balconies overlooking the lake. Two rooms have deep soak tubs with separate showers.

A beautiful, comfortable , well appointed home set in the midst of the most breathtaking vista you could imagine. The view of the lake and volcanos is expansive and ever changing with the time and weather, but always awe inspiring. The pool and jacuzzi were a relaxing treat after a day of exploring! The best airbnb I have ever stayed at! The location is amazing, the views, the tranquility, the song of birds, the rain the storms and the sun. This is paradise and just like it says, “casa cielo”, sky house. Mikael is great host and very responsive, and Miguel the house manager, os also very attentive and great. Once you are up there, you won’t want to ever leave, so pack groceries or just relax and have Verónica the local chef, come and cook delicious food for you. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could think of, the barbecue and the fire pit are perfect for sunsets. We loved it so much, we got engaged here. Will definitely be coming again :)
