【MUJIroom B】Japanese style Inn renovated by MUJI

OscarRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Sakamotoya Muji Room was a great place to stay. Dinner set was very good. The place is beautiful with great view and the bedroom was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Mr Sakamoto was very friendly and helpful and was there to guide us all the time. He also picked us up from the station and brought us to different restaurants. He took extra care of us. Yoshinoyama is a beautiful place. I think we were there slightly off season so the place was peaceful and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. Great for small hikes, visiting temples and enjoying nature. Great stay. We plan to come back during sakura season.

Onosanchi Immigration Experience House

ZaneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A true hidden gem—I ended up extending my stay because I loved it so much. The structure is beautifully designed with modern utilities, and everything is spotless and clearly well maintained. The space is very private and peaceful, making it perfect for a quiet retreat. Shota was an exceptional host—friendly, highly responsive, and always proactive in providing helpful instructions.

A 100-year-old house with a bonfire

FlorianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A peaceful and authentic place surrounded by nature, with a beautiful view over the valley and forest. The house is simple, traditional, and full of charm – perfect for unwinding. Kano, our host, was outstanding. Incredibly kind and communicative, always available with thoughtful recommendations – from where to eat to how to make the most of the area. His support made our stay truly special. Highly recommended.

Stay at a Tea Farmer's Inn in Kumano Hongu

ChristianRating, 5 stars4 months ago
What a fantastic place, the owners are both fantastic and they cook the best meals we had in our Japan holidays, you can see and feel the passion for what they do, they own a tea farm and their tea is really delicious, they are very accommodating and they will help you with anything, definitely worth every single dollar. Thank you again

[World Heritage Takayama B] Kokoro no Tsuboyasu Little Retreat House Ikkosho (6-tatami Japanese-style room for 1 person with desk)

SyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Amazing place. Pics don't do it justice. I told them to update! Just off the main road at the end of a block. Beautiful inside and out. About four rooms all set up tatami style and all Buddhist themed. Extensive neighborhood details and recos. Shared kitchen with everything you could need and common areas to read etc. Even a meditation room for 6am guided sessions when the host and friends are available. They've been doing it 12 years. Highly recommend. I caught a cold and since staying at hotels for my three weeks in Japan, there no where else I would have wanted to rest with tea and so much more available. Laundry was great too. Have to see and feel the vibe to believe. Special town too.
