The house is old Okinawan style, well maintained and nicely decorated. Rey is very environmentally concerned, which felt like a relief after almost a year spent in Tokyo. Finally Iriomote is wild and beautiful, a place where you can reconnect with Nature, its sounds and rhythm. I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back! Ps: We were there with 2 kids of 10 and 8yo, who loved the house which felt like a cabin.

We had a great week in Funauki and would be happy to come back. The host is very friendly and helps you organize on site. She often brought us delicious food and organized us a snorkeling trip directly from Funauki. That was very nice. We enjoyed the time very much and saw many animals. Ida Beach is a dream and we are very grateful that we were able to spend a whole week in such a special place. For my son's 18th birthday, he even got a super tasty chocolate cake, which wouldn't have been better in Switzerland. Thank you very much for this and we will be happy to come back!!! We booked the cultural tour with Karolina through this platform. It's really worth it to learn more about this area and local life.

We have a very good stay, the place is clean and surrounding is peaceful and beautiful. You can do BBQ under the Milky Way and don’t miss the ice cream store next door. Just keep in mind you need a car and buy the food/drink in the town first.

This home is so beautiful, wood panels and tatami mats and beautiful hand made dishes! The owner is such a lovely woman, she helped us out so much, made dinner reservations for us (a must on this island!), gave us a lift to a grocery store, picked us up from a local restaurant because it started raining pretty hard-what a genuinely nice and helpful person! It was a delightful stay, thanks in no small part to the owner! Highly recommend!

Beautiful place, far from everything, sustainable tourism, perfect for a family, lush nature!!!

This was by far the best private place I've visited so far. I was lucky to have stayed in this typical Japanese traditional house as the only guest. The care was excellent and went way beyond the property description. I was picked up from the airport because no transfer to the accommodation was possible around the landing time and also brought back there on the day of departure. A first purchase, supply of medicine (I had a cold) and a reservation for the nearby restaurant (only about 50 m away with special recommendation) made the stay something special. Thanks to Kyohei!!!
