The cottage was beautifully located in a quiet little village, perfect for getting out in the fresh air for walks - several of which are on the door step - or staying in and taking in the views The hosts live nearby and are friendly and helpful The space is perfect for two adults and also accommodated our two medium sized dogs.

Honestly, one of the best places I’ve stayed out in. It’s a quaint little cottage with beautiful scenery around it. David is a fantastic host, and he was extremely helpful as well. Anyone looking to stay in the Clutton area would be lucky to stay there. We had a wedding at Carden park which is within walking distance of this cottage.

We had an amazing stay! Honestly could not fault one thing, very relaxing and also only 25 minutes away from Chester/ Cheshire oaks. We have a 2 year old so we went to the zoo etc, perfect distant from air bnb also lovely to play in the garden/ field after getting home after a long day, lovely house everything clean and owners opposite very welcoming and friendly will defiantly be returning!

Really nice cottage, very comfortable, great walks, nice and quiet with a lovely pub very close. We also have the benefit being close to the steam train which was great to see. John himself also responded within 30mins to any questions I had. Hope to be be back soon, thanks John !

Lovely two night stay with three generations of our family in a beautiful location . It’s a little isolated (that’s what we wanted and was as described ) but within an easy drive of all amenities. Excellent directions so easy to find. Helen has thought of everything with some lovely touches and supplies included. Looking forward to returning soon

We had an amazing time cottage is beautiful. The location is stunning. The garden is safe and enclosed for the dogs. The owners are lovely, thoughtful and always making sure we were ok. We will definitely be going back for longer! Thank you

Paul’s place was a very pleasant stay for the 6 of us and our 2 children. The property was clean and as described with all amenities available. Paul was also able to accommodate us on a last minute request regarding a baby cot. Would definitely recommend Paul’s property for large family or a group of 6 people, or even for couples who want to enjoy the place and be close to the nature of Wales.

A truly wonderful stay, from start to finish. We decided to make sure we return before even setting foot in the actual property, which says something! Everything was ideal, and we were blessed with exceptional weather. However, even without clear sunny skies we know we would have had as equally as good a time. Stay here if you're a big fan of quiet, calm and relaxing spaces. The big, big positives in no particular order: 1. The view 2. The hot tub 3. The swimming pool 4. The huge garden space 5. The clear and helpful hosts

Lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful property and we really enjoyed using the heated pool, the only thing that we did miss was being able to admire the stunning view of the countryside from inside the property although we were fortunate with the weather so were able to sit outside & enjoy it which we loved - we also loved our little visits from Margot - thank you 😊

We had a wonderful weekend here. Beautiful cottage in a gorgeous, tranquil setting with superb hosts, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They had thought of everything from a welcome bottle of wine and sweet treats to robes, sliders and even treats for the dog! Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, lovely pool and hot tub. We will definitely return. If you’re looking for rest and relaxation in quiet and peaceful surroundings this is the place for you.

We had a fantastic stay, weather was fantastic, caravan was amazing, exactly how described and shown on pictures. Beds made up ready and very comfy, lots of detergents under sink, but still left ours behind. George foreman and air fryer and plenty of kitchen accessories. You literally just need to turn up and enjoy your stay. Gareth was amazing really quick at responding and very helpful. Definitely book here sgain

Our third stay at the Shippon and our two autistic boys treat it like a home from home. So relaxing I didn’t want to leave. Our youngest loves water and animals so swimming, hot tub, fussing the lovely dogs, feeding Monty the horse carrots, all while being followed around by the chickens. He was in heaven! A great base for visiting family and lots to do nearby if we want to. This time we went to hoo farm, but we were generally all happy to stay at the Shippon. The Shippon is spotless and to cosy and comfortable. Our dogs love sitting on the patio watching the world go by and Newport dog park is literally a 5-10 minute walk and they love it. Thanks so much Sara and Phil, you are always so helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

We LOVED our stay here! The home is fabulous, so many spacious rooms to explore, each one decorated in a great way. The outdoor space is amazing, and was such a highlight of our stay, from the stunning countryside views, the lush pool, the immaculate sauna out building (a hot tub on the balcony or outside would be a cherry on top of a delicious cake). We also loved that the house was so well stocked in the kitchen and cupboards throughout the house, which made it easier and more enjoyable to just chill at the house. Everyone said that they're beds were super comfy too. The neighbours were very welcoming and helpful too, it was a lovely start to our stay meeting Les! It was easy to communicate with the host, and they messaged us 24 hours before check out to let us know we could check out later which was fab. Would definitely recommend staying here with a big group, plenty of space for everyone with a fab social dining table. Diolch yn fawr

Fantastic cottage which comfortably accomodates 8 people. Wonderful gardens with amazing views. Very convenient for all The snowdonia range made a great hill walking base.

Beautiful stay, we were completing the Llangollen Round and this was a perfect setting to relax and prepare for the walk. views are beautiful, pool is a lovely feature.

I have a lovely relaxing stay at the cabin. You have a easy walk to a choice of two pubs - just up a slight hill. It was comfortable, warm, clean and private. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a break away - all you need is a good book and a bottle of wine. Thank you

A great find for us, offered exactly what we needed - a nice peaceful place to retreat with close amenities near by. The location was perfect for getting to our planned activities (canoeing and cycling). Wyn was a great host, and the little touches in our cottage were appreciated, super clean and cosy.

Stay in this place for our small family 2+1 and dog was a nice experience. Peaceful quiet location with a stunning view out of busy city. Well equipped kitchen. Nice garden.

Great stay in Ellesmere in Charlotte's row. lovely little cottage, with lots of space for 3 adults and lots to do around there. we appreciate inter the on-site parking, how central and walkable it was and that Philippa was super responsive. While we didn't need it this trip, there are tons of games, videos and all the young child stuff you'd need. we would stay here again. thank you!

Very conveniently situated in the centre of town. Very clean and cosy and had everything you needed. Having the outside space was a bonus...having the parking with enough space for our trailer helped a lot. Just minutes from the shops and restaurants of Llangollen. Perfect spot ...We will be booking again for next year.

Absolutely amazing hosts! Greeted you when you got there and went through everything including places to eat,drink and walks especially the dog friendly places! The place itself is so cute and cosey. We would stay here again and the doggos really enjoyed themselves! Thank you for a lovely stay :)
