Cottage holiday rentals in Westward Ho!

We had a great stay in the house. Our group was 4 adults, 2 children and a dog and it was the perfect size for us all. The house was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The location was very peaceful and so quiet at night we all got great sleep. We visited Bude, Clovelly and Widemouth over our 4 day stay and it was perfectly located for them. Roger provided all the information we needed beforehand with guides to everything we could possibly need. He also responded to messages straightaway. The hot tub was a nice bonus and easy to use. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed sitting in the garden. I can't think of anything that would have improved our stay, I would definitely love to return.

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed for a great week. Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. All the crockery, utensils and pans you need for cooking. Hot tub was certainly a favourite and well used! Nice to have plastic ‘glasses’ for use outside. Great selection of games was a nice surprise. Being able to walk the dog right from the doorstep made it so easy - we really enjoyed exploring the smallholding. Hosts were very quick to respond with answers and support. Yes, the Tesco delivery man did manage to find us and unload :-)

We spent the half term break at Little Burston with our two young children, we had a wonderful time. The accommodation was everything we hoped from the previous brilliant reviews and more. A clean, bright and large space. Well equipped with everything you could want (games, DVD’s, kitchen utensils). A tranquil and peaceful setting not far away from Dulverton and within striking distance of lots of activities. The hot tub kept the adults happy and the kids loved the garden, trampoline and games of football. Carol was a great host, instructions left at the property were clear and easy. Walking recommendations all great. Goats and chickens out of the kitchen window was a highlight for the kids. Up there with the best Airbnb’s we’ve been to in the UK. We would not hesitate to return, if visiting North Devon again and couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

It’s a beautiful, very private accommodation with incredible views over the countryside. We loved our stay, especially the hot tub, and would definitely return. The hosts were absolutely brilliant too.

Wow! What an incredible 6 days we had staying at Nicola’s place. It was for my partners 21st birthday and Nicola put up banners and balloons which was lovely of her. We both had the best time, it was both of our first time in Cornwall and we explored so much in the time we was there. Boscastle is an amazing place to stay as St Ives was just over an hour away, Marazion was an hour away, Newquay just under an hour. Even the local beaches and exploring Boscastle was so much fun. It really was a great location, the views, the sunsets/ sunrises everything truly was amazing and we will 100% be back in the future. Thank you so much for having us and as I say we thoroughly enjoyed our first time in Cornwall.

We had a lovely relaxing break away as a family. Helen & Jonathan made us feel very welcome and decorated the cottage to celebrate my birthday, so thoughtful and unexpected. Really recommend this cottage.

A brilliant stay in sues lodge. It’s so close to the beach! It was such an added extra to have a hot tub and the lodge was beautifully clean.

A lovely hidden gem tucked away in beautiful countryside. We went for a relaxing weekend to chill out and were not disappointed. It's often difficult to find somewhere that accepts four Dalmatians but Sally was extremely dog friendly and we felt very relaxed. The place is in a beautiful setting with attractive fishing lakes to walk around. The house had everything we needed, comfortable beds and we enjoyed the hot tub very much. Nearby Swanacott woods was a ten minute drive away and a great place for the dogs to let off steam. They needed to do this as the free range chickens did tease them a little but luckily none of them ended up in the pot!

Great secluded place in the heart of North Devon, close to all the best beaches and walks. Perfect for the dogs. Such a lovely view from the garden and lounge. Debbie and John are very friendly hosts. Pass available for parking at the best beach in the area. Highly recommended by us following our stay!

Ben and Caroline were very good hosts, quick to respond. The cottage was beautiful and perfect for a stay for 2. The dogs felt at home and enjoyed running and doing zommies in the adjacent field. There was a little stream beside the cottage and in the evening we enjoyed drinking wine and listen to it. It was very therapeutic. The vineyard was very close and Molly who did the tour was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed tasting the wines and once we new which ones we liked there was always someone on hand to buy a bottle if required. We did get the country bus into exeter which was an experience and expensive to get a taxi back so would recommend you book an Ubar was would be cheaper. We went Kayaking on the river which was a short walk which was beautiful and we also kayaked from the quey in exeter. We visited canonteign Falls which were beautiful and the bridford inn we cycled to on the way back. if you want a peaceful relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings this is the place.

Lovely cottage and Braunton a good place to be based with shops, pubs and restaurants all a short walk from the cottage. The cottage had everything we needed, it was comfortable and very clean. Will definitely be back to stay again in the future.

A perfect spot to discover Devon and north Cornwall. You can get to the coast and all sights very easily by car. Great house and paradise garden. Amy and Marc were the perfect hosts! Kids loved the garden with the swings and private woonlands for their adventures. Would def. recommend

Tracey and Simon's place is a fabulous little cottage set on their beautiful little farm. The cottage has everything you'll need to make yourself comfortable, and even more so. You'll have your own little area that is fenced off to let your pooches off lead and a table to sit and admire the surroundings and their animals. A private parking spot and easy check in made arrival smooth. Tracey and Simon were even kind enough to make us a little cake on arrival, which was delicious. This place is definitely worth a stay if you want some peace and quiet.

Great Croyde village location. Right opposite one of the three pubs in the village and 15 mins gentle walk to the beach. We stayed with our young baby, although Karen didn’t have a travel cot there was plenty of room in the spacious bedroom for ours. We loved the big TV which was great for evening movies. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, we especially loved the selection of mugs ( big sizes and lots of lovely hand thrown designs). At the back of the footage there is a l small space for boards and wetsuits. We felt instantly at home and even got chatting to our neighbours in The Thatch one evening.

Lovely well equipped little barn conversion in a very peaceful location, and ideally situated for exploring North Devon. Mary and John were very friendly and the enclosed field was ideal for exercising our dog. A very enjoyable stay.

Just come back from a fabulous 5 day stay. Sarah was fantastic, greeted us on arrival and left milk and wine in the fridge for us to enjoy . The property was beautiful and exactly the same as the pictures. The property was super clean and everything was really well thought out for a comfortable stay . Thank you for having us .

I came to the Christian Music Festival at St. Mary’s so it was very handy to walk from there to the church. It was just right for one person. I brought my dog and the courtyard was very handy to take him out into especially at night. Lights came on as we went out in the dark which was great. The cottage was very comfortable and clean.

I could confidently say that Aysha House is the best Airbnb I stayed! House has been beautifully decorated throughout and so many little extras made our stay so comfortable. We enjoyed our morning in the warm, sunny conservatory, enjoyed the BBQ in the back garden, relaxing chat in the super cosy living room in the evening. It's only 5 minutes to the surfing school and the beach. There is also Tesco Express 5 minutes away. We will definitely come back here again.

We had a brilliant stay at Hideaway Cottage. It was well equipped, comfortable for 4 adults and the views (and sunsets) from the garden were absolutely stunning. Appledore itself is a perfect location to explore North Devon. Thanks also for the cream tea!

Brilliant stay for a music festival and a few extra days around local area. Lovely, clean space with loads of room amd everything we needed. Would definitely stay again

Beautiful cottage, the photos do not do it justice. Plenty of space for 4 adults. Angela and Geoff were very responsive hosts and I felt very welcomed. The local pub is worth a visit, just a 5 minute walk! We would love to visit again.

Lovely place with own nearby off street parking. Quaint location amongst the higgldy pigeldy houses. Very clean, fast wifi, lots of hot water. Nice terrace overlooking (few houses away) river for morning coffee. We were there off season and very peaceful. 5 min walk to Appledore quayside with great restaurants and pubs. Short drive to lovely beaches and the rest of North Devon. Our first time in the area but I'm sure we'll be back.

This is a lovely little cottage. Fab location. A very short walk to some lovely eateries. It was very clean and communication with the host was quick and responsive. The only downside was there was very little outside space to enjoy the good weather. The courtyard is very small and didn't get the sun.We had to go to the pub to sit outside. A couple of points which might have improved our experience. Not enough toilet roll. 3 adults for 3 nights need more toilet roll. Trying to find a shop on a bank holiday wasn't great. Most Airbnb houses have some sort of welcome pack including tea, coffee etc and that was missing. The only thing provided in the bathroom was hand soap. Those little touches didn't take away from the fact it was a five star stay.

Lovely cosy cottage, it has everything you need for some time away from the city.
