Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Western Finland

The host couple were incredibly friendly. We had a wonderful breakfast together and several great conversations.

Hannas place was right on my bike trip wayfrom Nordkapp down to Helsinki. Quick response, even I contacted less than 24 before arrival. Living in a renovating old farm also was great expierence as well as swimming in nearby lake this very hot summer day. I recommend Hannas place.

She is so kind and nice :) Her place was like my grandma’s place. I could relax and it was so comfortable <3

A great place with Pipsa and a peaceful countryside where the soul rests. Especially the peaceful freely available beach sauna was absolutely amazing! Big recommendation.

I had a wonderful stay at Suvi's place. Suvi is a very friendly and kind person, and communication was very smooth! There is an incredibly cute cat in the house. The garden is beautiful, and the room is clean and quiet. As soon as you open the door, you can see the lovely garden view. It would be even more convenient if you have a car. I will definitely come back here again.

Comfortable and tidy place to stay. Peaceful and quiet environment with a good night's sleep in a good bed. Breakfast was at the desired time. Barbro was nice to talk to at the same time and scratch the lovely Lexi dog. In addition, Barbro responded quickly to messages.

Very comfortable and peaceful bed & breakfast type accommodation, the price of the accommodation includes a private sauna turn in the wood sauna (remember to book an appointment in advance), a sandy beach and a great breakfast. Toilets and showers are shared, but there are so few rooms that they are almost like private. The common areas have a refrigerator and microwave, as well as space to eat your own snacks.

Atmospheric place and nice host. Breakfast is plentiful and varied and the sauna has gentle steam. I recommend it!

Great location, several protected buildings, old wooden house milieu. Everything went as promised in the listing, after a good night's sleep, it was nice to continue our journey.

We had such a lovely stay with Sage and Jannika at Hotel Svala. We stayed in the suite which was a really beautiful space and so was the entire hotel, Sage is a professional set designer which you can really tell. All rooms were meticulously designed, both regarding coloring that matched the surrounding Åland landscape and with a distinct retro feel to everything from furniture to the smallest utensils in the dining room. It kind of felt like you were in a Wes Andersson movie set in the Finnish archipelago. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was also really nice. If you like the look of the website you will love the hotel. The service and food were also amazing, all done by Jannika and Sage – we stayed a full week and were treated to delicious meals both breakfast, lunch and dinner. They take care to pick out the best produce from local farmers and really made a feast of all meals. The hotel is small and dinner was always served in communal style with all guests around a shared table which was really fun as you got to talk to lots of different people passing through. Kumlinge is a lovely little island and neighboring Seglinge which is a 7 min (free) boat ride away is also really beautiful and has a really nice hiking trail that lets you take in both cliffs, the ocean and birch forest. We mostly took it easy during our stay, read books, went for walks, had a swim and enjoyed the quiet and calm. We even saw a moose swimming over to a neighboring island (!). Sage and Jannika shared a lot about the background to how they started the hotel and you felt immediately like you had been welcomed in to the family. In all, a perfect stay, both for a short stay if you’re travelling through the archipelago or for a longer period if you really want to relax and wind down for a couple of days.

The overall look and equipment met needs well. The sauna shift was a plus and a sandy beach that made it possible to take a dip. Breakfast was great, nothing was missing. Kristian is caring and nice. If you're looking for a rustic vibe and generations of stories, this place is perfect.

The place matched the description. Good instructions for staying. Breakfast (including bread, juice, porridge, yogurt) was a nice addition to the accommodation.

A wonderful experience all around! We spent one night in Villa Selkola with a 10-person female party, and during this time we took advantage of the atmospheric lakeside sauna as well as the extensive facilities of the interior. The owners are nice, helpful, and very hospitable, if schedules allowed, would have loved to have stayed at the Villa longer. Thanks!

We stayed at Hartola Manor on our wedding night. It was easy to find the place, Sonja met us and advised us on everything we needed. The room was neat and corresponded to the pictures! Breakfast was an unforgettable experience, it was beautifully laid out and we enjoyed breakfast in peace watching the beautiful garden view. We highly recommend it!
