Wir haben vier Tage in der Villa Sõmar verbracht und sind vollkommen zufrieden. Die Villa ist geräumig, sehr sauber und genau wie in der Beschreibung. Morgens gibt’s ein leckeres Frühstück von zwei sehr lieben Angestellten serviert. Die sri lankanischen Bananen Pancakes sind sehr zu empfehlen. Desweiteren bekommt man vor der Anreise eine sehr ausführliche Nachricht in welcher unter anderem viele Restaurant Empfehlungen, Strände in der Nähe und sogar Nummern von zwei Tuk tuk Fahrern stehen. Die Lage ist in Ordnung und man kann alles mit dem tuk tuk oder einem Roller erreichen. Alles in allem haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Had the most amazing time at Punchi Doowa—the property was stunning and peaceful. The service by Pubudu and Umesh was exceptional. We were welcomed with fresh coconut water, and the meals they cooked were so good, we didn’t eat out once! They also helped us arrange a scooter with helmets in minutes. Special thanks to Hettie—so generous and kind. I started a book from her collection and when I asked if I could buy it, she let me keep it. I left one of mine behind in return. The toiletries smelled like organic heaven—and as a woman, having good shampoo and conditioner while traveling is such a joy! One of the most magical moments? Seeing fireflies light up the garden at night—it felt like a storybook scene. My boyfriend and I kept saying we need to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

We had the most amazing stay at Elspeth Villa in Ahangama! The villa itself is absolutely stunning – beautifully designed, serene, and surrounded by lush greenery. Every corner feels thoughtfully curated, and you can truly feel the care that went into creating such a peaceful space. Elspeth was a wonderful host, super responsive and helpful throughout our stay. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a tranquil escape with a personal touch. We stayed at Kasun's villa for two days and had a wonderful experience. The villa was well-maintained and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable long stay. On the day of our checkout, which happened to be a Poya day when nearby restaurants were closed, Kasun's father provided us with breakfast — a thoughtful gesture we truly appreciated. We will definitely visit again when we’re in Weligama.

Pasindu was incredibly welcoming and even waited to greet us despite our late check-in. He gave us a full tour of the property, which was impressively well maintained. From the essentials to the extras, everything was thoughtfully set up. The pool was clean and inviting, bathrooms spotless with amazing water pressure, and the internet was blazing fast—even by international standards. Daily cleaning was a huge plus, and the cleaning lady was super thorough. Uber Eats deliveries had no trouble finding the place thanks to clear markings. The only heads-up is the access road—it’s a bit rough, so low-clearance cars might struggle a bit. Overall, a fantastic stay. Would definitely visit again!

Eliya Villa was an absolute gem. Direct beach access made every moment feel like a dream, calm, golden, and just breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly kind and always available, helping us with cooking, arranging transport, and making sure we had everything we needed. Their warmth really made the stay special. The villa was spotless, beautifully designed, and so peaceful, felt instantly relaxed and at home. Waking up to the sound of waves, sipping coffee by the beach. It was pure magic. Would definitely come back.

We had a great time at Tea House Villa. The place is very nice, in the middle on a jungle. The only downside is the way to get there is not very easy. You need a local driver to take you there - it's not very easy to get groceries or food. You need to plan this ahead. Other than that - the villa is very spacious and the pool was refreshing.

We stayed 5 days at this beautiful Airbnb right by the beach. It was the host's childhood home, and honestly, I can't imagine growing up somewhere so stunning. It rained almost the entire time we were there because of the monsoon, but the house was so perfect to watch the rain. The rain would pour off the roof like a fountain, and the beach was two two-minute walk away. The property had sooooo many trees, mango, bananas, olive, coconut, bay leaves, you name it, they have it. The hosts were gracious and allowed us to freely pick mangoes every morning. Everything at the villa made us feel right at home. We loved the caretaker uncle. The property was a little far off from central Mirissa (15 Minutes by tuk-tuk), so the beaches were immaculate and quiet. Most of the time, we had the entire beach to ourselves. We could hear the sound of the beach at night from our rooms at night. Recommended if you are travelling with a big group and wish to stay for a while at Mirissa.

Just... wow! We felt truely blessed with the opportunity to stay here. The pictures really don't do the view and villa justice, it's a really remarkable find and absolutely stay here if you get the chance. Sonali and her family are wonderful people, who really made the stay. Sonali's cooking was wonderful, lots of dishes each evening that were so tasty and taking the time to go through the menu with us is really thoughtful and made sure we enjoyed everything. Lesley and Ken have truely thought of everything, there's not a single thing missing and nothing to be improved on. We went out easily on tuk tuks to visit surrounding areas, only to return to absolute bliss with a dip in the warm infinity pool. We even took a little boat ride around the lake from the dock at the end of the garden that Sonali organised for us. This place is a true gem, and we felt so lucky to be able to stay here - just try and stop us visting again!

Our stay at The Dragonfly Villa was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in a sense of calm and beauty that only a place like this can offer. The villa is simply breathtaking — elegantly designed with stunning details, lush surroundings, and peaceful spaces that made it a true escape. A standout highlight was the exceptional cuisine lovingly prepared by Nayana. Each dish she created was bursting with flavour — fresh, comforting, and unforgettable. Every mealtime became a moment we looked forward to. Equally wonderful was the gracious hospitality of Ushan, who was always there with a warm smile, ready to assist with anything we needed - reservations, recommendations, or simply answering our many questions with patience and kindness. His presence made everything smooth and enjoyable. The Dragonfly Villa exceeded all expectations. Every person we encountered went out of their way to make our family trip very special. We left feeling so lucky and grateful

Clare’s place was everything & more than what we were expecting. The villa is absolutely beautiful, set in the most peaceful & tranquil surroundings. Nuwan’s cooking and hosting was the cherry on the top of our experience. Tushara also really looked after us. We were able to organise 3 private yoga classes & a massage - personal highlights of my stay at the villa. All of the above meant that whenever we left the villa, we wanted to get back straight away to our private paradise even though Ahangama is a great area to visit. Highly recommend staying and experiencing the beauty of Villa Sisila!!

Cecile has a dream place for any family to stay. From the location to the great staff, everything felt like home away from home. The great view, large pool, and staff who cooked tasty food contributed to this. If you love local Sri Lankan food, Manjula provides the best. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any family who wants a peaceful view of Sri Lanka with the best amenities and a great staff to take care of them.

We had a great time at this beautiful villa. It’s absolutely stunning and well located to the heart of Ahangama. Tim was extremely helpful and responsive. The staff were not overhearing and left us to get on with things. The breakfasts were delicious and portions generous. One morning we had the Sri Lankan breakfast and the next the international breakfast with delicious butter milk pancakes. Dinner was also great and the chef worked hard to provide a variety as everyone ordered something different. Thanks Gamunu and co we enjoyed our time at the villa.

We just returned from the most unforgettable stay at this stunning private villa in the south of Sri Lanka, and we’re still floating from the experience! We were 3 families with 6 young kids (ages 3 to 8), and this place was pure paradise for all of us. From the moment we booked, the host Sophie was an absolute gem—warm, welcoming, incredibly responsive, and full of helpful tips to make our stay extra smooth. The villa itself? Breathtaking. Think lush gardens, open tropical spaces, beautifully designed rooms, and a serene vibe that instantly makes you feel relaxed and at home. It was spacious enough for our group to feel comfortable and connected, with plenty of areas for the kids to explore and the adults to unwind. And the staff! So friendly, so kind, and so attentive. But the real star of the show was Dias, the private chef, who absolutely blew us away with his who absolutely blew us away with his cooking. If you’re thinking of staying here—do it. This place is magic.

From the minute we arrived it was a fantastic experience. The villa is amazing and even so much better and bigger than we thought. From the pool area and downstairs bar area to the upstairs kithen / chill out area are layed out so well you couldnt help to love the place. The villa has everything you think of and then on to one of the best things..... The Staff wow they were amazing . ... You have a chef available for you if you wish to dine at the villa you just pay for the groceries and they do the rest and i have to say the food was amazing we had breakfast and dinner most days in the villa. The chefs are talented and can cook a variety of cuisines and everything we got was always cooked ,seasoned and presented well.. The pool area is really good and is cleaned every morning and the kids and adults spent plenty of time in it . There is a supermarket close buy and numerous beaches that can be reached on foot or grab a tuk tuk which can be arranged by the staff

Surrounded by beautiful trees, lush vegetation and fascinating widlife, this place is the ideal spot for a relaxed, tranquil getaway. We had very poor weather while we were here so didn't get to enjoy the outside space as much as we could have. The best part about this place is Manoj and his team that run the place, we had beautiful cooked breakfasts and seafood lunches while we were here, and Manoj helped us with shopping, transportation around the local area and our ongoing transfer to Colombo. The owner also deserves credit, for being so approachable, easy to contact and proactive in resolving issues.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Noumi, the staff were friendly, kind and responsive. We were welcomed with cold towels, juice and a fruit basket (5 star welcome). The villa itself was very clean, the photos are accurate! The breakfast and dinner we had in the villa were wonderful. The kids were well catered for with a massive box of lego and some toys/card games which were well used after beautiful morning swims at secret beach. Overall I would recommend this place to families or a few couples or even friends. Well located and a short tuk tuk ride or short walk into town and the beach. Thanks for having us!

We came in a group of 4 friends. Never seen such spacious villa. Comes with 3 bedrooms (two located on top and one at the ground floor). Spiral Staircase might be difficult for elderly. First thing that I must praise is the housekeeper, his name is Lakshan and he’s the most attentive boy ever. He’s always ready to assist. He helps to cook and reheat too. Theres ample of place for us to chill. From the living hall to the kitchen to the outdoor seats we basically fully utilized the space. The only downside is that it’s a little far from the Main Street coz the small lane seems quiet at night but it’s convenient to order food via apps so we never had to walk out. By the way; we arent pet lovers but the two doggies are sooooooooo well behaved.

Pavithri & Rajitha were great host. They took care of all our needs. The house was beautifully decorated and very neat & clean. Kitchen was with all amenities as described. The surroundings was very serene and beautiful. The best part was they invited us for lovely dinner on day at their home. Great friendly host. Highly recommended.

A beautiful and tastefully decorated home, well maintained by a wonderful live in property manager named Jeem, who prepares the most amazing breakfast ! A perfectly restful vibe for the 6 of us to chill at the end of our vacation . . . And walking distance to all the fabulous restaurant recommendations and beach ! We just loved it !!!

Stop scrolling through the reviews and just book this stay already! Everything about the Temple House was fantastic - from the decor to the amenities to the constantly cleaned pool to the villa manager and staff availability and helpfulness. Communication with Jo was a breeze. Jo was proactive and provided all the information we needed. The chef that we shared with another villa made amazing vegetarian food for our party of 4 adults. Nish the villa manager went out of his way to make us comfortable. Shashi was super duper helpful, making breakfast for all of us and staying with my grandma and infant to ensure their comfort when the rest of us were out exploring. The place was spic and span thanks to Ashanti cleaning the indoor area and the uncle outside cleaning the yard and pool. There was a short period of power outage that was handled well by Jo and the team. They had USB/ battery powered lights and fans that allowed us - especially my infant - to feel comfortable. Loved it!!!

We (family of 5 with 3 young kids) loved our stay at Helios. Ashley has designed the place beautifully and the interior design is very cool. The garden and pool area was heavenly with so much wildlife (monkeys, lizards, birds and we even saw a mongoose in the garden!). It was easy to get lost in time watching the monkeys swinging around in the trees and jumping on the roof. We loved the outdoor bathrooms. The team were very helpful and responsive and Lalani made a great breakfast. The location is great, near to a superb coffee shop and cafe (The Kip) and back from the main road in Ahangama (which is extremely hectic especially with young children), so it was a bonus to be set back from there. We loved our stay and made lots of great family memories. Thanks Ashley and team, we’d definitely recommend!
