Waterfront holiday rentals in Weligama Bay

A large manor with a very unique and beautiful environment. There are coconut groves, mango trees, and starfruit trees... The location is also very good. It's right next to the beach. The service is very welcoming. It feels like home. It's also very personalized. Because we came back late from whale watching, they gave us a house to check out late. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time to stay at the hotel and enjoy such a beautiful environment. I highly recommend it.

Wow what a stay, the most nicest family I have met in Sri Lanka, great hospitality, very genuine people, kind and nice! A prefect true authentic Sri Lanka experience, the awareness of cleaning is very high, great common areas such as a big communal kitchen, shady rooftops with a bunch of chilling seats and a lot of privacy. can't wait to be back! thank you.

Absolutely amazing 😍 One of the best rentals in my life. Ideal for a big family or 2-3 couples, and the price is more than reasonable. Definitely exceeded my expectations. PERFECT !!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sahan and family are so lovely and greeted us with a coconut each on arrival. Throughout our stay they have been so friendly and even invited us to their family meals but sadly we already had plans with family visiting us so couldn’t attend. The location is wonderful, right opposite the beach and in the heart of Madiha close to everything. The decor and cleanliness of the property was a 10/10. The listed amenities and property description is spot on and we were not disappointed. We really wanted to extend as we loved it so much but unfortunately it was already booked up so we have arranged to come back next season to see them & stay again!Thank you so much, we can’t wait to come back again :)

We had an excellent stay at this apartment and appreciated all the thoughtful details. Communication with Dakshan was smooth and supportive from start to finish - he was very helpful, always quick to respond, and offered great assistance whenever we had questions or needed guidance. The apartment itself was in top-notch condition, featuring powerful air conditioning, fast internet, and a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking easy. The spacious layout and separate showers in each room gave everyone plenty of privacy and comfort. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the modern yet cosy feel instantly made us feel at home. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d gladly stay here again.

On the outskirts of Galle, but a quick Tuktuk to town and Unawatuna Beach town (highly recommend). ***My only warning, would be that of the random trash/debree burnings. If you have asthma or allergies, then this may cause you issues, as it did for me.***

Very nice place to lie comfortably on the beach and relax. The surf school next door is also highly recommended. Here you can combine relaxation and action. The place was clean, the breakfast (buffet) delicious and the team on site very kind and helpful. Highly recommend😊

We had a lovely time at Luca's place. The house has everything you need for a great rest. You will be able to observe the few animals that roam freely in the garden. The pool is a big plus in the heat of Sri Lanka. The house is incredibly clean and the people who work there are very nice. Nimesh will help you with any questions, you can contact them at any time. He took us to change money, showed us where the best places to dine were and organized all the excursions for us. He also took care of our trip and picked us up from the airport. Throughout, we were able to enjoy the wonderful dinners prepared by Nirosha including a great seafood barbecue. The house is very well located: only a short walk to the beach and all restaurants/shops. Feel free to book your stay in this house, it's a real little paradise.

Althaf's home truly felt like a home away from home. Set in an amazing location, it radiated a warm, welcoming vibe that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The view of the ocean from the house was simply breathtaking — we could have spent hours just sitting and taking it all in. Althaf's mother was a kind and gracious host. My wife especially enjoyed their friendly conversations, which added a personal touch to our experience. The house is ideally located within walking distance to the scenic promenade and the charming peddlers' street, both of which evoke a nostalgic, old-world charm. Overall, it was a fantastic vacation, and we’re already looking forward to returning. One small suggestion: it would be great if breakfast could be included, even at an additional cost. This would add a layer of relaxation and convenience, especially for vegetarian guests.

Very happy, after careful selection, I happened to see this villa.I was attracted at first sight, looking forward to staying, and when I arrived, I was physically and mentally happy. The manager arranged it well, all the staff were very friendly, and the service was very good!In the guestbook of the villa, I saw the messages of travelers from all over the world who have been here. Although they are all strangers who have not met, we intertwine through words and misplaced time and space. It is also a kind of fate!Finally! Have a nice trip!Stay healthy!Hello, stranger!

Wonderful stay and the property was amazing with access to the beach right outside the back gate. Couldn’t recommend enough!

This villa is something wonderful. All the details are perfect, beautiful and sophisticated. The bedrooms are fantastic, the swimming pool is amazing, the garden itself is a gem. And the staff! The housekeeper Sasun with the other guys, runs the villa in à perfect way: they are available for every request, helpful and incredibly skilled! We had many meals at home and it was definitely better than at the restaurants! The position is really good. You can walk in the nature up to the main road, Matara road, where many small restaurants are, or ask the staff to call a tuk tuk. Galle fort is about 30' away! Stephen the owner, is promptly reacting and helpful. Despite the weather in June, to stay in villa Vador has been an amazing experience and I can't wait to come once again! Thanks to Stephen and the staff for having made my holiday so relaxing!

Asanka was a great host. He was super helpful, from the moment he picked us up from the train station. He showed us his city, and clearly explained everything about his apartment. The house is spacious, with plenty of room to spread out. There's a comfortable lounge and TV, while the bed was really cosy. The Wifi was excellent, and the location was perfect for us, close to the bus, but nice and quiet, with loads of birds and squirrels. The balcony was our favorite spot for meals, which we often prepared in the kitchen. We would return here without hesitation.

Nice budget-friendly place to explore Weligama! A scooter will come in handy, as you are a little bit outside the centre. The kitchen and the bed are great. There is warm water and the hosting family is kind and attentive. It is basic, but convenient. Good value for money.

We just adored our stay at Olivia’s villa! What a treat to be able to experience the culture and history of the house in the best location right in the fort, it truly is magical, artistic and colourful! We enjoyed sundowners on the roof terrace and wandering around to all of Olivia’s recommendations for food and shopping! We stayed with 2 young children at the house which was no issue at all. Kanthi was an exceptional house keeper and we really enjoyed her delicious food! We will be sure to stay again one day when we travel to Sri Lanka! A highlight for our trip 😍

Had a wonderful stay at Sam's Condominium-neat and clean apartment with stunning views and the soothing sound of waves . The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, making it a perfect coastal escape.

I stayed in the guest cottage on a lovely private (gated) property full of jungly trees, birds, and monkeys! Eva has built a paradise. It was wonderful to walk down to yoga a few times. Overall it's exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet (except for all the bird chatter, but that was lovely). Also the staff are so lovely and helpful and smiling. Just a reminder that there's no AC, and you are in the jungle so be obsessively clean in the kitchen (hello ants) and don't let the little lizards scare you. I named one Fred. :). If the wifi doesn't work, just find the wifi repeater and ensure it's plugged in, and ta da, the signal perks right up. Highly recommend.

Wowww. Where do I even begin?! We were stunned by how much more beautiful this place was in person. It exceeded all our expectations!! The location can’t be beat. Corner unit, two floors, multiple balconies & floor-to-ceiling windows/doors to catch the beach & gorgeous sunset views from any angle! The bedrooms with attached bathrooms, common areas & divine master suite are so spacious and luxurious! I have to give *high praise* for how well maintained this unit is by Dodampe, his lovely caretaker Upul, and the cleaning staff. The place was sparkling clean - kitchen, curtains, sofas & other furniture/fixtures seemed almost brand new! Incredibly high standards for cleanliness, presentation & keeping unit in excellent working order with no issues. Our family of seniors, young adults, and children had lots of privacy for ourselves as well as generous common areas to spend together. Many thanks to Upul for his warmth, responsiveness, all his help & advice. He even brought a welcome gift!

This is our 2nd stay at Sha Villas by Ushaan. Overall, Five-star host and a brilliant apartment! Check in and check out is super easy, and Ushaan is a very communicative and thoughtful host. It is a beautiful , spacious place with great amenities. Immaculately clean and a very convenient location. We would book again for our next visit.

Pavi, Bathi and their family and friends are the loveliest of people, always ready to help or offer advice when needed. Our apartment was situated on the 2nd floor and was lovely, bedroom and bathroom bare very large as is the kitchen diner, if there was anything you needed Pavi got it sorted asap, the grounds are immaculate and have a plethora of wildlife wandering the grounds, the use of the swimming pool was a great addition. Polhena itself is situated in a great spot for travelling out from and has a wonderful little beach(it does get busy at weekends). Shops are in walking distance as is the main town of Matara or a short fun tuk tuk ride. Colombo and other places are easily accessible via buses or train, both a fun way to travel. We will be back.

Someone says that the road is noisy, yes , there is a road , but guys , you came here not to sit at home, feet in your hands and explore so that at night you will not wake up anything! Amazing place , location and people , thank you !

Had a great stay at this beautifully furnished, duplex condominium. The apartment has ample space, is extremely comfortable and ideally suited for a large family or group. It is also equipped with all the amenities you would expect from any 5* hotel. The host, Minoli was also extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with. All in all, one of the best condominium properties in the area!

We had a great stay at Kumari's apartment. The apartment is spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The couch is comfy and the kitchen is well equipped for full meals. Wi-Fi was really fast and the view cannot get any better. The condo has a full gym, a nice pool (with sunny areas and shady areas) and a restaurant for dine-in or room service. It was a pleasure communicating with Kumari - always very responsive to our questions. The one small maintenance issue we had was fixed by the condo staff very quickly. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone.
