Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Waupaca County

Wonderful stay, I loved that each room had a bathroom so we were all super comfortable. It’s a surprisingly huge place. A lot of things to do in the area as well. Only thing I didn’t expect was that it is on a somewhat busy road, made us a little nervous with young kids but just kept a close eye and it was no big deal. Overall a lovely and wonderfully peaceful stay at this beautiful home.

Corey is such a wonderful host. Great communication, easy check in and you’ll find everything you need to make yourself at home after a long car trip. We alway look forward to our stay in this cute cabin in the woods and reliable hospitality from our host! The house was secluded in a tree filled property in farm country— quiet, with deer coming to visit. It was very clean and comfortable—well appointed, but not so upscale that one can’t relax there. The kitchen is spacious and has what you need to cook a good meal. We really enjoyed our weekend there and plan to return next year for our conference.

Couldn't have asked for a better location and excellent house. Everything was as good as promised and loved the ample amount of firewood for use. Perfect view of the river and extremely private peaceful setting. I would highly recommend this property and definitely planning on booking here again 😀

Our family had a wonderful stay. The house layout was perfect for the six of us, providing space to both be together and have privacy. We spent lots of time outside enjoying the kayaks, porch and fire pit. We'd definitely stay again!

Awesome next time it will be longer Boating fishing swimming and a few cocktails around the campfire is there anything better this place has it all 2 fridges double oven those are the types of things that help out the most with the bigger families We are already trying to figure out a date for next year Thank you

We are exceptionally happy with our stay at Mark's house. All of us were impressed at how nice it is- very recent and well done updates, fresh, cozy linens and towels, great kitchen, lots of thoughtful details. It was immaculately clean, spacious, and has several spaces to gather and enjoy wonderful views of the river. We had fun fishing, and had a bonfire, too. Highly recommend! And would happily stay here again.

Rose’s place was absolutely perfect! Very comfortable home with everything you could need for a wonderful stay at the lakes. The location is ideal for access to the Wheelhouse, ICC, the lake and all the joys of Waupaca! The views were beautiful and Rose was super helpful. We will definitely be back again!!!

The Kaboose is really cool, very well remodeled time period wise. the location is steps away from the main road and the driveway, absolutely no privacy. communication with the host was frustrating. I had three communications..one she got back a day later and two she never responded to..both said she read my messages. can't bring your own firewood in, yet none available to us. so we went to kwik trip and got some because she ignored 2 of my messages about that. cool caboose, but wouldn't stay again, campground run down and a loud screaming family present that by reading other reviews looks as though they live there.

The place was perfect. Right off the river and in a great location. The house was clean and there was a surplus of supplies. There were many towels, dish-ware and wood for the bonfire. Overall, this rental was great. I would highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Rhonda's cabin. From start to finish everything went smoothly. The communication with Rhonda was always very prompt and our booking process was hassle-free. Upon arrival, the procedure to get into the cabin and get the key was very easy. The cabin was very clean and tastefully decorated. We loved how cozy and comfortable it was! The location was perfect! We had spent a few days in the UP with friends and decided to stay in the cabin a couple nights for our anniversary. We explored the area and even found a Fall Festival we enjoyed in Waupaca! This rustic cabin was simply amazing. The host Lupe was amazing she made us feel right at home. I would recommend this cabin to all of my friends, if you are looking for a cabin to get away and to detached from the busy day urban life this is the place

Had a great time here. The property is tucked away right against the river. Great views from the kitchen. Neighbors were a little closer than anticipated and the living room ceiling is a little low. Nice kitchen and good about amount of sleeping space. Hosts were very responsive, friendly and helpful.

We like to stay in Waupaca while my daughter, who has special needs, is at Wild West Campgroud for horse camp. This allows us to be near in case something were to happen. The cottage is fantastic. Very cute and recently updated. It had all the supplies we needed for cooking, including a charcoal grill on the top deck. There was also one below deck (along with a pizza smoker), but we didn't use that one. Towels and linens were provided. I would recommend to future guests that they bring their own toilet paper, paper towels, washcloths for the bathroom, and dish rags for the sink. I also recommend bringing lawn chairs. There is a beautiful yard that we didn't get to take advantage of because we didn't think to bring chairs. The view of the lake is very nice. The lake itself...not so much. You cannot swim in the lake. It's very shallow with a mucky bottom. We brought our kayaks and skillfully got them into the water. There isn't really a good spot to do this, but we're in shape, so we managed just fine. The lake is great for a peaceful kayak or canoe trip around. We saw a lot of wildlife -- deer. bunnies, frogs, geese...just to name a few. The cabin really is close to everything. We brought our bikes and used the Wau-King Trail to go to Clear Water Harbor Resort, and then biked back on the roads. We also biked downtown one day, and visited South Park beach, which is really nice. Again, you can get there using the Wau-King trail. We were close to everything and took advantage of all that Waupaca has to offer, including the chain o'lakes, the public swimming pier at Marl Lake, a kayak trip down the Crystal River (with Adventure Outfitters), and Hartman Creek State Park (the trails by bike, and swimming at the beach). We even through the bikes back on the car and took a trip down the Tomorrow River trail in Scandanavia -- a short 20 min ride away from the cabin. All in all, a fantastic vacation! Thank you, Abby!
