Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Walton-on-the-Naze

Our group of six—two adults, one young adult, and three teenagers—had a very comfortable stay at Lesley’s lovely home. It, indeed, felt very much like a home and not just a rental property. There was ample space for all of us, and it was great to have three toilets and two showers. The location is superb—a short walk to coffee, restaurants, and the riverfront, which we enjoyed strolling along in the evening. A great place for a larger group to stay in Wivenhoe!

Absolutely beautiful, location is peaceful and picturesque. The property is well equipped, comfortable and just stunning. Will definitely be coming back here again!!

Jo’s place was as exactly as we chose. A very private place full of tranquility both inside and outside . The natural garden was a joy to just sit and enjoy the wild life and alfresco dining. We were blessed with good weather which made sitting and eating outside mist enjoyable. The garden was a haven for our two dogs to explore safely.

The bakehouse was a great, we had wonderful time the house have everything that you need to feel comfortable and everything it’s 5 min less walking distance. Great place and host . Definitely recommendable

Had a great stay at Claire's house. Claire was very helpful & responsive on messages. The location is perfect, walking distance to the village for the cafe's and the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and the outside space was perfect for relaxing in the afternoon and evening. Thanks Claire for a great stay!

Lovely cottage in a quiet area very near to the town centre, water front and pubs. Had everything we needed to make our stay a very enjoyable week. Plenty of things to do in and around the area and overall a very enjoyable experience.

Absolutely perfect stay in a beautiful area. The house was spotless and even bigger than the photos show! It was perfect for 4 adults and my 16 month old daughter. Stuart sent great instructions through and loads of information about the local area, although we actually loved the house and grounds so much that we didn’t venture any further - we had a lovely few relaxing days in the house and walks around the woodland. My daughter even got to feed the goats. Will definitely come back, and will do a summer visit too as the pool looked beautiful.

Great stay! Really nice! Very close to the beach, lovely walks to west Mersea. Shanice was bang on with her communication.

We were recommended Sprotts Farm by a friend and it didn’t disappoint. A great feel at home place to stay, set amongst the most beautiful wooded countryside. Everything was as described and we’ll certainly be back for a return visit 😊 Leo, our pampered pooch certainly enjoyed exploring the grounds and the woods were definitely a bonus. Perfect getaway to unwind and recharge.

Had the best two nights at Tracy’s home from home. Was everything she had described, very comfortable I had the best two nights sleep. Close to the beach and you can see the sea from the van. Thank you I will be back 😊

We had a great one night stay. Everything was clean & tidy. The only thing I would have liked is a hairdryer.

Perfect place for a little break. Cleanest caravan we’ve ever stayed in! Bedding looked, felt and smelt fresh, bathroom, toilet and kitchen all clean and well equipped, and Yussuf was quick to respond with any questions. We’d definitely stay again.

Stayed here with 10 guys. There is ample room to sit together to have dinner, a large enough lounge for everyone to relax and all spaced that require less clothing is very private and not overlooked. The upper balcony is shared with a bedroom from 16A, but I assume that is not in use when the place is booked. Driveway is shared with adjacent property but you can still fit 4 cars. Hot tubs extremely well maintained. Furniture is in excellent condition. Furnishings are modern and tasteful. All kitchen appliances work with ample crockery and cutlery. Beds are very comfortable and allow flexible sleeping arrangements. Bathrooms were very clean.

We always stay here when visiting the area, it is so beautiful and peaceful. Our dog loves the garden and nearby walks to the river. Gemma is an excellent host and the Cabin is a lovely place to stay.

We rented John’s hut to spend a day at the beach with friends. The hut was exactly as described and very well located, close to the cafesnand shops, the toilets, and the parking spaces. It contained everything you can need for a perfect day at the beach! Would definitely recommend it and would consider renting it again in the future.

Had a great stay at Katy’s space. Everything was clean, comfortable and matched the description and we enjoyed the goodies Katy stocked the kitchen with to get us going! Great location - very close to everything we needed. If I was ever in Walton or Essex again would be happy to stay again. Communicating with Katy was very easy and she was happy to help with any questions!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay in this compact but most welcoming property which was enhanced by lovely weather. We found everything we needed during our comfortable stay and didn’t need to bother Cheryl, although she was present and friendly upon our arrival. On this occasion, Cheryl was able to offer us an earlier check-in time which we were able to make use of so that was appreciated. The location is very close to the beach and attractions such as Sutton Hoo, where we went to watch a live Time Team dig and Bawdsey Radar Museum which was interesting. Snape Maltings is also worth stopping by for a fascinating, alternative shopping experience. There are various boat trips available in this area and a little further away, on our journey home, we spent some hours at Shotley Peninsula which was very scenic and ideal for walking from Shotley Marina and Pin Mill. All in all, this property makes for a great base from where to witness nature, enjoy various walks and other interests.

I highly recommend this place. Lovely garden to sit with a morning coffee. Easy to walk everywhere if you don’t have transport. Every thing was spotlessly clean. Had everything you needed. Only downside - mum in her 80’s struggled with the stairs. Very steep and narrow, no side rail to hold onto. For younger, fitter people, it won’t be an issue

Harrison was the most welcoming host and accommodating. Great communication, the place was clean, cosy and had everything you needed and looked exactly as it looks and described. Short walk to the beach and town centre or short drive to local shops/retail park. Would deffo use Harrison again for our next visit.

This accommodation is clean, comfortable and very well equipped. There are lots of lovely local walks and a couple of convenience stores and pubs within walking distance. There are lots location is peaceful with a nice outdoor courtyard garden. Occasionally footsteps can be heard from above the bedroom due to the accommodation being underneath part of the owner’s home.

Well, what can I say! Alison’s place was a real gem. I’m a Brit living in the USA and was visiting my parents in Frinton. I needed a place for just myself, but with basic amenities. It met my needs perfectly. Plus with the added bonus of the sea at the end of the road, just a few steps away, I got my ocean fix! It was just wonderful being able to take long morning and evening seafront walks before and after spending the day with my parents. Alison was always responsive and very helpful. Definitely recommended.
