Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Wales

What an amazing place! This is something special. It is a beautiful thought out structure with spectacular furnishings and such a well designed space. Underfloor heating! That is a first for me and my partner and I loved it. The hosts kept the rustic look alive in how they designed it and even had a thatched roof!. Outside the cottage is a world of summer flowers, carefully attended by the older lady who lived in the adjoining cottage. Of course the hot tub and sauna were a great addition. I loved that they did not spare expense with the furnishings from the well designed dish drip tray to the fancy fan in the bedroom. We wish we could have spent more time here as after a few days travelling we spent one of our days lounging in the hot tub with a glass of champagne whilst listening to the constant bird chorus and watching the horses saunter around in adjoining fields. Clean and comfortable. Completely renovated kitchen. We had a lovely sunset walk on the beach. We used taxis and recommend having a car. Spectacular location right on the beach. The caravan park was very well kept and check-in was a breeze. We would stay again and highly recommend Julie's wonderful sea cabin.

The property was a beautiful peaceful location. Being a converted barn everything was on one level. Very contemporary and tastefully decorated throughout. Every eventuality has been catered for whether a short or long stay. Looking forward to returning when next in the area. Totally recommended.

Gary was welcoming and helpful. The accommodations had everything I needed for short stay and longer stay. The views over Goodwick and Fishquard are stunning. It’s peaceful easy to park. I would highly recommend and look forward to staying again. I visited for the yearly Fishquard folk festival which was awesome.

Little dairy is a lovely charming place with well planed kitchen. Luxurious shower and charming sitting room and bedroom. Would highly recommend this place.

Felt like home because 50 years ago it WAS home. Wendy and her husband Steve had made the most impressive improvements and the place was much better than it used to be. The flat itself was very roomy and very carefully prepared, and beautifully decorated with interesting pictures and ornaments. The breakfast hamper was the perfect way to start th e day. The view to the front was spectacular on a sunny day and really magnificent on a rougher day. (We were lucky enough to have both on our few days there) Go, for the lovely flat and for the breathtaking views

I recently booked this Airbnb for a birthday getaway for my boyfriend and I. Sarah was absolutely brilliant to deal with from the initial booking, to arranging balloons and a banner for my boyfriend and also providing us with clear instructions for how to get to the property the day before. The property itself was completely stunning and had everything we needed for a few days away. The place was clean, well equipped, modern and a joy to stay at this weekend. I would highly recommend booking Sarah’s property and would definitely opt to book again myself if I was in the area.

The view of the Menai Strait from the large glass windows is stunning. It is even better in person than any photo can capture. The apartment was clean and well presented and has everything you need, including a handy dishwasher. The location is perfect for exploring Anglesey, North Wales and Snowdonia. Finally, the hosts are incredibly helpful and respond promptly to messages.

We spent a couple of nights in Ian’s fabulous apartment overlooking the sea at Limeslade. I wish we could have stayed longer! We enjoyed a lovely walk along the coastal path to Langland where we had a bite to eat for lunch. Listening to the sound of the sea at night was special and being in such a beautiful apartment made our mini break just wonderful. Thank you Ian. Liz

Our second stay at The Loft and it was just as good as the first. Beautiful location and Heidi is a super host.

Sheila was a very helpful and welcoming. We felt right at home and comfortable. The weather was a little chilly so the heating was put on to make our stay cosy and comfortable. The views and the Alpacas outside of our window were a joy to see. Sheila is a great host, very kind and caring with nothing too much trouble.

We ve had a wonderful stay; the place is very spacious, clean and cozy and it has everything you need to cook as well. The views are beautiful and surrounded by lots of different animals (including friendly llamas!). We ve had a fantastic and quiet weekend hiking/cycling around, can't wait to go back!Thanks Vanessa for everything. Luis

Wayne and Delyth are very friendly and made us feel so welcome, lovely hosts! The lodge itself is stunning and exactly like described. The lodge was very clean and milk provided in the fridge for tea or coffee. Lovely garden space and parking provided. Would 100% recommend and if we find ourselves back in Barry would definitely look at availability to stay here again! Thank you so much! Had a wonderful stay.

Chris was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and he made sure we felt settled and suggested a range of things to do and places to eat. The studio itself was well equipped and in a fantastic location, with beautiful walks from the door. We will definitely be back!

Really cute apartment. Modern, clean and well located. Really quiet area, slept well. We were in Swansea for an event on Sunday and it was a very easy 20min straightforward drive to the centre. Also, lovely welcoming touches, milk, bread loaf, butter and handmade Welsh cakes. Highly Recommend a stay.

An outstanding property with incredible views. Ros could not have been more helpful - answering enquiries and going so far as to call on our departure. Tenby was looking at its best - such a beautiful town. The views over North Beach to the harbour. Absolutely worth every penny.

Beautifully situated little space, perfect for exploring Snowdonia! Great views all around, and very pretty sunsets if the weather is good. Great for having some relaxing time off :)

We had a lovely stay in Pendine. The house is exactly as it looks in the photos and very clean. Had everything we needed and particularly nice to have use of a hot tub. Walking distance from the beach and a very nice fish and chip shop.

I was a great pleasure to stay in Lorraine’s apartment. Second time we visited this place and we will definitely going back again. the apartment is very friendly, the closest to the she is feels unreal. We loved to just spend time on the beach. Even the weather wasn’t really great there was still a lot of things to do around. Thanks for everything, it was a great time

We were visiting family friends in the area and wanted a cozy retreat to return to each evening - and Tony’s place was perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The views are canvas-worthy, and waking up to the sound of sheep instead of London sirens and mopeds was pure bliss. Tony himself is absolutely lovely - warm, welcoming, and a wonderful host. Our only regret? Not having more time to sit, chat and get to know him better. Thank you for having us, Tony! Emma & Alex

The place was even better than the photos! The house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay: comfortable, easy, and thoughtfully arranged. The location was easy to find in a peaceful residential area. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The view of the strait was stunning, calm, and endless. The garden was beautiful and clearly very well cared for; we appreciated the dedication and attention to detail, especially the Japanese-style touches. We enjoyed sitting outside, drinking tea, looking at the strait and breathing the fresh air. The host was kind and responsive, always available to answer any questions. We felt at home from the start and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We’d love to come back!
