We really enjoyed our stay.The hosts were very accommodating and way and beyond to make us comfortable and warm.They separated the double bed into singles to cater for our preference.They provided firewood on their fireplaces,and by the way they have an indoor braii area which we put into good use.On our second night,they even provided a gas heater for us.We really felt warm .This house has classic furniture.Thank you so much.

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin with this guesthouse? Seriously, if I hit the lottery tomorrow, you wouldn't see me for dust – I'd be booking this place for a whole year! I only got to stay from Wednesday to Saturday, and honestly, that wasn't nearly enough. It didn't feel like a guesthouse at all; it felt like walking into my *own* dream house. From the moment I stepped inside, everything was just so incredibly nice. You know how sometimes places promise comfort but fall short? Not here! It had all the vibes of a chic, cozy home. There was a big, inviting sofa that just begged you to sink into it, and I absolutely loved the built-in cabinets – they just added to that custom, lived-in feel. And let's talk about the essentials, because they nailed those too. A fantastic TV for winding down after a day of exploring? Check! Essential air-conditioning for those warmer moments? Double check! But the real MVP for comfort, especially if it gets chilly, were the electric blankets. Wh

i had the perfect overnight stay at Happy Haven! the space was amazing and spacious. the bed was amazing. the shower was amazing. the pillows are amazing. the towels are amazing and the space is wonderfully clean! Host Rika is incredibly helpful and housekeeper Sheila as well. Will be back next time I'm in Welkom and if you're considering staying here look no further 🫶

Petrie was a fantastic host—warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating, even when we arrived late. Her dad was an absolute gem, checking us in and ensuring everything was perfect. He even switched on the aircon beforehand, so our room was cool and comfortable in the summer heat. The linen was of excellent quality, and despite only staying for one night, we felt like we were at a luxury resort. The next morning, I was treated to a delicious cappuccino and a toasted sandwich—such a thoughtful touch! Petrie and her family truly go above and beyond for their guests, and we will definitely be staying with them again in the future.

Great place to stay while in Welkom. We were there for 3 nights and it was a great option. King sized bed was super comfy. There was a microwave, fridge, kettle, bug kill light and a load shedding light available. Beatrix was awesome and super friendly.
