The tower is completely self-contained and its pretty, covered balcony offers breathtaking views over the château's truffle orchard. Internally it is full of character with a circular, beamed bedroom and roll top bath on the top floor and a sitting room below. There is no formal kitchen so this is a place for foodies wanting to experience local French food by eating out

Our 'Garden Retreat' is a tranquil, elegantly furnished cottage overlooking a sunken garden. The accommodation has a bedroom (queen-sized bed), a fully-equipped kitchen, a sitting area with a sleeper-sofa, and a small office mezzanine. The garden is large with multiple places to sit and enjoy the shade or the sun. The Loire River itself is only 150 yards from the flat. Large individuals take note: the shower is a standard 67cm x 67cm. Although we love pets; but we have a one pet only policy.

Fontevraud Abbey, the castles of Chinon, Saumur, Chenonceau, and even Chaumont-sur-Loire are accessible within the hour thanks to the expressways. Bike shelter available. Private parking. Atypical accommodation in an old farmhouse for two people, all comforts, 15 minutes from Tours, on the way to Santiago de Compostela and close to the heritage of the Loire Valley. A lovely home in a perfectly beautiful setting. It was peaceful and well appointed with what my husband, friends and I were hoping for in the Loire Valley. The beds were very comfortable and the outside terrace a wonderful place for drinks after a day of touring the castles. We would definitely recommend this home to friends and family.

Cedric was traveling but sent me all the instructions the day before, with a short video that explains everything very well. Everything was very clean, the cottage is very nice and the outdoor space very pleasant, in complete privacy. Of course, it was hot in the cottage this weekend, but it was due to the heatwave. The fan was good.
