Family-friendly holiday rentals in Vieux-Fort

Fabulous stay. Comfortable lodge, surrounded by nature in a lush garden. Big bonus: the private jacuzzi after climbing La Soufrière, a stone's throw away... another little bonus, the nightly visit of an adorable raccoon. We would have liked to stay there!

A very nice and clean house with an incredible view of the beach... you can put your suitcases down and take the small path to get to the beach in 5 minutes, the jacuzzi is also very nice because the terrace is surrounded by a small garden where a banana tree and other lush species grow. We are greeted by the singing of little frogs and birds, not to mention the little anoles. Gérard thought of everything, beach towels and masks and snorkels... it lacks some kitchen utensils but that's just a detail! All that's left to do is discover this magnificent island!

Florent & Nicole were wonderful hosts during our stay. They were able to answer our questions & their hospitality was great. The place is great. An amazing view, the jacuzzi to relax. The amenities present allow you to have a stay without missing anything. I would highly recommend it!

My stay at the Gîtes de la Réserve was at the top at all levels! Naïdy is welcoming and very kind, I was able to discover some new Guadeloupean spots that I didn't know thanks to his recommendations! The cottage is ideally located in Basse Terre with a breathtaking view from morning to night (sunset guaranteed on the Cousteau reserve). The listing is as described with garden and hot tub available. Not far from a crossroads and leader price, not far from local fruit and vegetable sales and nearby restaurants (Bouillante and Malendure). If I return to Guadeloupe, I will be sure to come back to this area 😃 See you next Naïdy!

we had a lovely stay at Murielle's. Listing matches photos. There is a small private pool and Murielle's pool. Murielle is very welcoming, has prepared delicious Accra for us and has advised us on things to do about the area. We recommend this rental to discover Basse-Normandie Terre.

Very nice, brand new and well-equipped accommodation. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful covered terrace outside where we had all our meals. Very nice view of the Cousteau reserve. The hot tub is perfect for the end of the day, not overlooked. We found a pathway to Malendure beach with the explanations given by Yves. The best part is that we were able to swim with 2 turtles. I would not hesitate to rent this place again if I had to come back to this beautiful part of the island 🤩

Very nice accommodation with a beautiful garden and a sumptuous decoration. All the little touches are very appreciated and Françoise as well as her husband are very warm, responsive and welcoming.

We just left Paradise! Honestly, what Olivier & Renaud have created is nothing short but "Paradise". Our treehouse "the Explorer" was super nice, clean and beautifully decorated. We felt right at home. The welcome was very kind and communication throughout was perfect & quick. Both speak English very well and are honestly the loveliest, trustworthy guys and give you the best recommendations for foody places but also dive schools etc. which we happily used and can now also vouch for. We stayed for 2 nights and would have liked to stay longer. Well, there will be a next time for sure. Thank you, Olivier & Renaud - for sharing your beautiful home with us - it was a pleasure to meet you! ;-)

Great nice and comfortable place. Nearby shops and village. Danila is very friendly and responds to requests. The place is central enough to visit poorly, the package of udders, hedges ... In short, recommend

House as described, mask, towel, ice tray, A/C, cooler, icebread, barbecue, washing machine, dishwasher, hanging rack, wires to spread towels, available on site. Hosts are very friendly, attentive and responsive to various requests. They are rich in information to ask if you are considering excursions to the other islands of Guadeloupe (including Marie Galante). Thanks to Délia, Stéphane (Greg enjoyed interacting with you) and not to mention Louis and if you are lucky you can participate in the private sales organized by Délia with local artisans. NB to take into consideration the pool is that of the owners and is shared with the tenants

Absolutely enjoyed my stay! Sandra and her husband were warm, communicative and accommodating. On the first day, they provided breakfast and fresh pineapple, which was sweet and delicious! Sandra also helped me book the ferry over to Les Saintes and was an exemplary host! Always very pleasant and smiling. Gave us our space but were always somehow nearby if we needed anything! 10/10!!! The airbnb is to the centre of the island, so it was a central point to go exploring. Would recommend getting a vehicle if staying there because the access road to the main road is a bit long to walk. The accommodation is just as pictured. The kitchen and toilet were just outside the room, but the bathroom was inside. This was not a problem for me, but pointing out if it matters to others. There were some mosquitos but Sandra provided a net over the bed and a mosquito zapper so inside the room was fine. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend and would stay when in Guadeloupe next. Thanks for everything! <3

There's no note for this place, because this one will stay forever in my memories. We stayed in the hut, and despite the sanitary pole which was a little distant, the atmosphere really charmed us. It was magical, in the middle of nature, this place is the most beautiful antidote to the hustle and bustle of city life. Loved it! A huge thank you to the owners: it's thanks to them that these rare homes still exist.

We had a great time at Vana's place. Everything was perfect! The ideal location with your feet in the water, we refreshed ourselves after a start to the “sick” stay. If we had to choose from the 3 properties we rented during our stay, it would be Vana's, without hesitation.

A big thank you to Dorkis and Jackie for this fabulous stay. We had a pleasant welcome and welcome products in the fridge. The view is amazing from the terrace, it should be highlighted more in the photos but at least the discovery is surprising. The atmosphere is family, you feel at the entrance house! Nice continuation to you and maybe see you soon!

We LOVED our stay!! The view was stunning and the house was amazing. It was quiet and very private, yet the other rentals in the La Manon compound were close by and it felt safe and secure at the top of a mountain. Exactly as pictured and exactly what we were expecting. The house was not quite ready for us upon arrival so we went out for groceries while the cleaning lady was finishing up. A nice grocery store is just 15 minutes away with everything we needed. The house was so relaxing that we didn’t want to leave it for exploring the island, but enjoyed every outing we had with gorgeous scenery and beautiful beaches. We had stayed one week in Basse Terre and one week in Grand Terre and so glad we did. They are very different but each has its own charm and interest. Bernadette was an excellent, laid back host, always replying quickly and very friendly. We appreciated her speaking some English since we speak very little French. We would definitely recommend!

We were two people in the Ylang Ylang cottage. The house is very spacious and has all the comforts. From the house, you have a breathtaking view of the forest. The location of the residence is perfect if you want to make trips to both Basse-Terre and Grand-Terre.

Great stay in a wonderful place. We are in love with both Guadeloupe and the villa. It is very quiet very well located on Basse-Terre. Erwan and Joëlle are very friendly and caring hosts while remaining very discreet. There were 8 of us (4 adults and 4 children). We recommend Erwan and Joëlle and their beautiful villa.

Claudia is a very nice host who knows how to receive in the best possible way! We had rented 2 bangalows and had come with our crew for a traditional sailing competition and needed a well-deserved rest after each race. At Claudia's it was the case, the setting is beautiful a real haven of peace. I would highly recommend it!

Axelle was charming, pleasant and helpful. She made every effort to communicate with us english speakers. She spoke english well but not perfectly....we managed fine with our limited french and much graciousness on both sides. We were charmed by the area....many beautiful beaches...we went to the maison de cocoa , and into the rainforest. The accomodations were basic but comfortable...we had everything we needed. We took advantage of her offer to provide our first dinner...chicken colombe...a typical creole dish...yummy. We would be happy to return here!

We only spent 4 nights in our kaz, but what a great time. Sulyanise welcomed us with great sweetness and kindness, we discovered together the fertilization of vanilla and so many other stories of the island. A real enchanted parenthesis, thank you to her and Philippe.

Beautiful house 10min drive from the city center and 5min drive to the beach (possible on foot but big hill on the way back). Clear view, surrounding vegetation provided and pleasant. Be careful if afraid of small animals that can enter the house. Well-equipped house in kitchen equipment. Very spacious and very comfortable beds with mosquito net parking possible for 3 cars

Sylvie is a very nice person We had a lovely stay The space was very nice and very clean. There's even a washing machine. Small planter upon our arrival I highly recommend it. We'll keep the address for next time

Authentic chalet in an idyllic setting. The estate offers a total change of scenery and awakens all our senses thanks to the surrounding fauna and flora. A real botanical garden. Very welcoming and warm host, invested in his project. A timeless stay.
