Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Vestland

Super great accommodation with breathtaking views! The jacuzzi and the free ferry to Leknes gave our stay the perfect finishing touch. In addition, the Airbnb is very cozy/lovingly furnished and fantastically equipped, including numerous board games and children's toys. Thank you very much, Svein & Monica, for the unforgettable beautiful time we spent in your vacation home!

we found villa tippetue easily, very nicely located with a view of the Sognefjord. we did indeed have to go through a piece of forest of about 70m first. unfortunately not much luck with the weather, we did see a little sun every day. the cottage has a very nice terrace with a view of the fjord and a cozy living room. there were maps available for walks in the area, also detailed laminated maps. unfortunately the very local part was not present, probably accidentally taken by a previous visitor. We downloaded the Norwegian maps app Norgeskart. The stupet naveset tronvik walk - on the flank there - is also well marked. There is a ladder and a section where ropes assist the descent (our dog could easily find his own way around). The ground was still quite wet and sometimes slippery (early June) in hoyanger also nice walking. To flam it is a good 3h drive. Recommended!

The house is really a place to feel at home - even it is only for a few days. The pictures in AirBnB show nothing more than the real beauty of this place. Sometimes the view is even better than on the pics. ;) The farm with the sheep is perfect for kids and please ask Ingvild for Lego - the kids love the box full of fun, especially on rainy days. :) The house itself has everything you need to have a good time at Ingvild and Lasses place. I totally recommend to enjoy a few days on this beautiful, cozy and relaxing place in Sæbø. :)

We had a fantastic stay at Lars' house! The views from the modern jacuzzi were absolutely stunning—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The house itself is spacious and beautifully designed, with a large, well-equipped kitchen that made cooking a pleasure. We especially appreciated the use of the nearby boat for a bit of adventure on the water, and the charming hiking cabin up on the mountain was a cosy retreat to warm up in if needed. Don’t miss the nearby Likholefossen waterfall—it's definitely worth a visit! Lars was a friendly and generous host who made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful and peaceful home! The view is breathtaking. We easily could have stayed longer.

Hans and Emily's house is a real gem! Everything has been thought of, there is everything you need and more. The rooms are beautiful and the house has a special charm. A travel cot and high chair were provided for our daughter, there are games for children and adults - so even in bad weather there is no room for boredom. Charging the electric car also worked perfectly (for a more than fair fee). The communication with Hans during the stay was very friendly and helpful. All in all, a really great place to stay with so many options that we hope to try out on our next visit (canoeing, BBQ, swimming etc). Many thanks to Emily and Hans and all the best!

Wow! What an amazing place! It is like staying at a friends home - super comfortable, homey, and relaxing. The "sun room" was enchanting and we sat there for fours enjoying the different moods of the fjord. The location was beyond anything I can describe - it was so quiet! Lindy was very responsive and quick. There was nothing that could not have asked for!

A charming guesthouse located in a peaceful area. It is perfect for families as there is plenty of space for children to play at, and many options for a scenic walk or nearby trip. Einar is also a nice host and easy to communicate with. We hope to come back and we recommend this place!

Liv was very responsive, flexible, and a good communicator! The place itself is quite spacious and quite convenient as we were on our way to Vøringsfossen the next day. Would recommend.

We had an absolutely awesome time at Espen’s place in Røldal. The cabin was super modern and clean and had everything we needed for an amazing couple of days enjoying the peace and quiet of Roldal. The view from the cabin is amazing from both inside and out, the beds were so comfortable and Espen was a brilliant host. He recommended great things to do in the area and was super responsive to any questions we had. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We would love to come back!

WOW WOW WOW. I can't even believe we got to stay here. What a privilege! It looks even better than the pictures. The view is unbeatable. Marit was kind and warm, available but not overbearing. I mentioned we were doing the sauna in Aurland (recommend!! Aurland, not Flåm!) and she left towels out for us. messaged to ask how the trip was going and if we needed a shoe dryer. This Airbnb is everything an Airbnb should be and more, Marit is everything an Airbnb host should be and more! Thank you, Marit, for a fantastic stay. Tusen takk!!!

The apartment was not cleaned, but Kristina reacted immediately and asked us to leave the apartment again. After an hour, everything was spotless and we received a credit. Otherwise everything was as expected, very new apartment, well furnished, good location.

Very comfortable apartment, well-equipped, with a great view. There's absolutely nothing missing. In addition, the owners are charming and very considerate. They received us wonderfully. Thank you for everything.

When we left Marit's home, we all felt a little emotional. The trip had been such a great time of rest and adventure, and the place felt like home. We ate breakfast and dinner at the home, which saved a lot of money, and we were also able to do laundry, which was incredibly helpful since we had packed very small bags. It would be impossible to describe how beautiful the home and surrounding countryside is - I live in a farming town in the mountains and it's hard to impress me with natural beauty, but Vik took our breath away. We listened to the bells of the sheep every morning and evening and hiked in the mountains above the rental. We watched local people play soccer and children go to school and boats come and go. We drove to Flam (beautiful, but Vik is 1000% more lovely), took a ferry to Balestrand (worth it), and fell in love with the drive over the tundra above Vik. Marit was a perfect, warm, kind, lovely host and we can't recommend the rental enough. We miss it already.

We enjoyed the stay in Drengstovo very much and could look at the fjord for hours from the balcony or the sitting area. Anne-Kristine and her husband were very friendly and helpful, but left you privacy. There are smaller shopping facilities 1.5-4 km away. Otherwise, you have to drive about 40 minutes to Odda, or take the ferry to Kinsarvik (free, but rarely runs). There are some excursion options within a radius of a good 1.5 hours.

I can’t recommend this property enough, we felt right at home. The hosts are so attentive and hospitable, we even changed our plans to use the kayak and to appreciate the location. We spent hours just looking out over the lake at the stunning views. The pictures we took look photoshopped they are so perfect. Family have already asked for the property details as want to stay. Our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer.

Gorgeous location. Peaceful walks right out the door. Close to Herdla which has quite a few interesting places like a bird sanctuary and sauna. The host is friendly and super helpful!

Mathilde was a wonderful host. She gave us great restaurant recommendations. The apartment was extremely clean and bright. The apartment is centrally located. It is close to great restaurants, coffee shops, etc. We absolutely loved our stay! We hope to be back.

I felt completely comfortable in the accommodation! It is very cozy, sparkling clean and a real little oasis of well-being. Everything you need was available – from kitchen equipment to loving details that made the stay particularly pleasant. The hostess was very warm and helpful. The connection to the city was also easily accessible by public transport. I can only recommend the place and would love to come back!

Very nice place with all amenities you might need for a long stay (although ours was unfortunately rather short). Cleanliness is the main winning point for us.

Everything was good, the accommodation looked like the pictures and matched the description. The contact with Trude was pleasant and uncomplicated. ☺️ We felt comfortable!
