Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Valongo

excellent option to go in family groups, a house with all amenities , very nice and in very good condition, the host always responded kindly and quickly, the truth has exceeded all my expectations. it is not very close to the port center but if it is a step away from the airport, and to get to the center you make it very easy and the Uber is cheap.

Stayed here for a week with my family, including my brother and his children and my mother and father, and we absolutely loved it! The space was perfect for us to hang out as a family, enjoy the sunshine and play in the pool. We were able to use a high cars to get easily down to the coast and to local supermarkets to pick up provisions but most of the days we just spent relaxing in the house which has lots of space and lots of amenities. There was lots of space for the children to play both inside and outside, lots of places to sit and eat and the pool was excellent. The animals at the bottom of the garden were very entertaining for the children and they managed to name all of them!! I would highly recommend this space. I would happily come again. We also really enjoyed having Duarte come over and cook us a typical regional meal. Thank you for everything Jorgina. Danny, Becci and Eden

Very enjoyable stay. Photos do not do the house justice. Big living area and great outdoor space. 4 good size doubles - massive king bed and especially liked the private annex. OK sofa bed could potentially be upgraded in living room. Fantastic local recommendations and easy transport links to both town and coast and airport.

We spent a weekend at Artur's house with my family and the experience was wonderful. His house is ideal, the area is very quiet, you can get there easily and the location is magnificent if you want to visit Porto, it is 10 minutes away by car. Communication with Artur was great, he was very attentive and his recommendations were very accurate. We'll be back!!!

Spacious, comfortable house with beautiful outdoor space, very pleasant shaded terrace. Good location for visiting Porto and the Douro Valley. "Méandro" restaurant next door, cheap, excellent with splendid views of the Douro. Graça and her husband are welcoming and responsive. The only downside is the presence of barking dogs++ (kennel?). Graça has nothing to do with it, but noise nuisance to report.

Rui was very responsive and helpful from the moment we checked in. He even got us a wonderful dinner reservation in Porto. The place was perfect for our family and the location was just what we wanted: tastefully decorated, close to the beach and close to Porto. Would highly recommend staying at Rui’s spot!

We had a wonderful stay at this property for a long weekend away with friends. The house was even better than it appeared in the photos - incredibly spacious, good sized pool out the back, plenty of sun-loungers. There were great spaces for everyone to be together - but plenty of room for people to relax away from the group. The journey into Porto was very easy and affordable by Uber and no issues delivering food in. Check in was flexible and easy, with the host welcoming us and explaining how everything worked. We also didn’t realise until just before that breakfast was included - and everyday we woke to a huge selection of breads, fruit, cheese, meats, pastries and cereal! Really could not fault either the host or the home we stayed in. 10/10 in every aspect and I would definitely stay here again in the future.

We had a great time at Joshua's place. The listing is exactly as described and is conveniently located for visiting Porto. We particularly enjoyed the garden, the swimming pool, the welcome and the assistance of Josue's parents and, especially during the power outage that affected the area for more than 8 hours! Thanks to the BBQ, the restaurants remaining closed for lack of electricity, we were able to grill and feed our family of 10…our grandchildren also enjoyed the friendly presence of the pony, the goats and the pig in the pens of the garden. We would recommend this lovely listing.

We had a wonderful stay at Sousa's place and would happily stay again! It was spacious, modern, clean, and all around very comfortable including A/C, laundry, and lockers in the lobby for use on check-out day. We loved the location on a quiet street just 5-10 minutes from a bunch of great food (recommend Torto, Mare, and Fabrica) and the Trindade metro station.

The apartment had good accomodations. Little bit of a walk to get to the core of the city, but surrounding area is nice. Supermarket and pharmacy down the road from the apartment

So happy we stumbled on this place! The hosts were so sweet and showed us the best spots. The location was amazing and it was perfect for 4 of us. I would love to be able to stay here again!

Tiago and Lisa were very helpful and available should we need them. The flat was just as described. Traditional Portugueses nothing fancy but everything you would need. In a great location for the Casa Musica metro which took you everywhere. Lots of local cafes if you turn left when coming out the front door. A Lidl within a couple of minutes of walk. A pizzeria called Suzzo was very good. Fantastic bakery across the road, which is also a cafe and bar up to 19.00. A really good Brazilian bar with live music and samba nights next door to the bakery. I would recommend the flat to groups of friends.

We LOVED this place - a perfect city view from the window, vaulted ceilings made it feel even bigger (and is already spacious), beds were comfortable and the location is excellent. Alex gave us great recommendations to avoid touristy areas to eat. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great welcome with Porto and fruit juice, great location 50m from the metro and bus, accommodation a little outdated but perfectly in line with the photos so no surprise, only small downside the mezzanine staircase is very steep. Thank you Carlos for the welcome in very good French and for the good advice on restaurants, things to do.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, with modern and newly furnished interiors. The location was excellent — close to everything, and there was a great supermarket just around the corner. The internet was super fast, which was a big plus. It would have been even better with an elevator, but hey, you’re in the land of hills after all! :) All in all, a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

We stayed for more than a week at Manuela's place and had a great time. Manuela and her son Daniel were very welcoming from the check-in till then end of the stay (thanks for the delicious port wine!). The house is better than the pictures - cozy living room, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and lovely garden ... with a hot tub! Porto old city is 20mins drive, Aveiro is 40mins and Douro Valley is around 1.20mins from the place. There is a lovely restaurant by the river around 500mts away. Steep down and uphill walk but amazing views and very good traditional Portugese food. Good to have own transport (you can park inside or on the street) but there is a bus stop just few feet away from the house (we didn't use it as we had our own car). Overall a lovely stay. Absolutely wonderful home and stay here. The house was clean and cupboards were stocked with spices and essentials. We were left some homemade jam and coffee pods which were a huge plus. The beds were comfortable and the views of the valley are exceptional. We will be returning.

Very nicely furnished. Beautiful flower garden in patio area. Kitchen contained all necessary items.

Renovated in 2015, the house has three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms. It was a great place to stay for a week to view Porto and surroundings. Reception was extremely friendly, very warm. The house features a beautiful terrace, a (unheated) infinity pool with beautiful views over the valley and Duoro and features a (clean!) Weber BBQ. Lots of privacy to enjoy with your company outside. 15-20 Mbps internet sufficient to prepare you digitally for a day trip. Despite the fact that the fire alarm system was not completely stable, the owner has done everything possible to improve this during our stay. For a stay just outside Porto with peace and space, this is a great location.

Beautiful home with truly unbeatable views. The rooms were very spacious and well laid out. The home was very well appointed and had everything needed and then some. Close to Porto (easy and affordable uber ride into town) and attractions within Gaia. Stayed with 6 adults and 2 infants and the space worked super well and seems versatile for all types of groups. Clare was responsive throughout booking and arrival. There was some franticness during check in around the AC but only a minor hiccup and all was resolved quickly.
