Well maintained, unique, cozy, charming, serene & private haven near the lake. Far enough from the big city to leave the bustling day behind but close enough to keep your commute to a minimum. From the suite, downtown Gatineau is 20min away and Ottawa is less then 30min. A room detailed by Airbnb users for Airbnb travelers being comfortable and useful with all basic commodities. Wakefield waterfront on the Gatineau river. Great views of and only a few steps from the iconic covered bridge and a short walk to restaurants, pubs and cafes. Two fireplaces, two decks, and plenty of parking. This is a brand new home that we are sure you will enjoy. Respectful, courteous guests only. The magnificent views from the home and the two large decks come with some effort and this vacation paradise is not recommended for those with mobility issues.

Our long weekend at this charming cottage was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in a serene and tranquil location, the peaceful ambiance was a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cottage itself exuded warmth and character, adorned with delightful local decorations that truly captured the essence of the area. It felt like a home away from home, with every corner telling a unique story. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the picturesque view of the lake right in front of the cottage. Waking up to the gentle sounds of nature and the sight of the tranquil waters was a truly enchanting experience. But what truly set this experience apart was the host. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. Their responsiveness, kindness, and genuine hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome and valued.

The house was clean and cozy, with fresh towels, clean bed linen, and plenty of kitchenware. The self check-in process was smooth and convenient. We had the most incredible time at this chalet. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The host was amazing, so friendly, welcoming, and incredibly responsive throughout our stay. The chalet itself was breathtaking. It had everything we could possibly need and more, thoughtfully stocked, beautifully decorated, and perfectly cozy. We enjoyed a cheese fondue, spent our evenings relaxing by the fire, and unwound in the hot tub while soaking in the stunning natural surroundings. The location was peaceful and private, and it truly felt like an amazing escape. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend, we will be returning!!

The place is perfect for a relaxing stay, in a quiet location. Sissi responds very quickly to messages/questions. The gazebo on the waterfront was super nice, we were able to enjoy the waterfront despite the rain that day. The outdoor facilities are a really nice addition. The chalet is quite private, you can't see or hear the neighbors. I recommend it!
