Ten minutes driving from Klaksvik, there’s also a public bus. Two rooms: one bedroom and one kitchen with a sofa that turns into a comfortable bed. Kitchen has fridge, microwave oven with two electric plates, plus some kitchenware. There’s two external bathrooms to share with three rooms.

I loved Atli’s place. It is so lovely and comfortable. It has everything you need and a breathtaking view. Atli is also a welcoming and helpful host. I would absolutely recommend this accommodation for anybody visiting the Faroe Islands.

SaMa boathouse

MarcelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
nice boathouse with cozy flair right by the sea. well equipped, clean, good kitchen incl. spices and some food leftovers from predecessors, great location. you immediately feel at home. sofa bed is ok for two people, sleeping hatch was too narrow and stuffy. close to the ferry port and city center. we would choose again at any time.

Pershús - fantastic view in a silent village

TobyRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The view from Steinbjorn’s home is quite possibly the most beautiful vista I have experienced anywhere in the World. They say location is everything, and I don’t believe my experience of the Faroe Islands would have been as good had I stayed anywhere else. The solitude of Elduvík was perfect for my solo mountain biking trip, the pink sunsets at Midnight incredible, and the hot tub after a few hours on the bike the icing on the cake. The lounge and dining room are spacious and well appointed, the kitchen clean and well provisioned. I had the pleasure of meeting Steinbjorn when I arrived at the house. He is a friendly chap and is clearly proud of his home. Communication with him both prior to, and during my trip was superb, lots of recommendations for places to visit, and information regarding the village. Steinbjorn was also very attentive to any queries I had whilst at the house. I could not have hoped for a better experience.

Very lovingly furnished and designed boathouse. Above all, the kitchen equipment is great. We were also very happy about the welcome treats. The landlords were always available and very helpful. We can gladly recommend the beautiful accommodation.

Our stay in Arnafjordur with Atli was wonderful and we already miss our home away from home. To start, the location was just lovely, as we got to be metres away from the water and staring down a fjord whenever we looked out the window. The town was also conveniently close to Klaksvik yet was quiet, peaceful, and not as overly touristed as some other parts of the Faroe Islands. Regarding our host, Atli, he was incredibly kind, helpful, and charitable. To start, he welcomed us with free beer and snacks, and even offered us a free meal at the fish and chips shack he owns in Klaksvik (delicious btw). He also saw to any issues we had immediately, and allowed to use the building’s washer and dryer for free. Long story short, we cannot recommend staying here enough.

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy house in Leynar. The location is ideal – quiet yet central for exploring the islands. The house is equipped with everything you need: a fully equipped kitchen with all the utensils, a cozy fireplace for cozy evenings and a bathroom with excellent water pressure. After a day full of discoveries, it was the perfect place to relax. Highly recommended for those who appreciate comfort and a great location.

This is a great place with such a beautiful view! There were plenty of comfy beds, a well stocked bathroom, and everything we needed to do our laundry. Really enjoyed the town, and the location and parking were easy to find with the instructions we received. So happy with our stay here!

Faroe Camper 1 - Probably the best way to explore!

GilesRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Elfinn & Hans were great hosts. The campervan was ideal for touring the beautiful Faroe Islands, and includes all tunnel and road tolls. There are loads of conveniently placed campsites and you have real flexibility. The van is well designed and comfortable. It would be a squash for 3 or 4 adults, but ideal for a couple of family with two children. Elfinn was super helpful and responsive: we had a problem with the gas connection (which turned out to be a faulty bottle) but he came straight out and replaced it, so we were not delayed or inconvenienced at all. I would thoroughly recommend this as a way to explore the magical Faroe Islands!

Charming cottage next to the Atlantic

Shawn & RichardRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our stay here was a true highlight of our trip. The fairytale village of Elduvík is in a stunning location, and Aksel’s cottage occupies a prime position at the edge of it with breathtaking views of the ocean and the sheer rocky flank of neighboring Kalsoy island. You are located right at the start of a flat path leading to a gorge where we enjoyed cold plunges and watched a seal which Aksel told us loves to be sung to! Elduvik is the perfect base for day trips and even hikes that start right from the village. The cottage itself was more spacious than I expected. The high ceilings with exposed birch bark were beautiful. One of us slept in the loft which was quite comfy! I appreciated the outlet and lamp right at the head of the bed. The kitchen is tiny, but we cooked several successful meals and Aksel generously lent us some cooking oil from his house next door. He also gave us some delicious Faroese salmon he had smoked himself. Book the cottage and stay as long as you possibly can.
