Nature eco lodge holiday rentals in Uva Province

Amazing remote location camping in the mountains with fantastic views. If you like nature and simple living you should stay here! The tent accomodation is really cosy and you may even share your bathroom with a few small frogs! The outdoor shower has a great view. Amila and team looked after us really well, Amila is very friendly and kind, a great guy to talk to. The food the chef made was amazing ( even if there was so much we couldn't eat it all!), especially as we were so far in the mountains and everything has to be brought in. Shermal organised us a guide to trek up Knuckles Peak 1 and 2 with wonderful views from the top. The guide was excellent with a huge knowledge of plants, animals and birds. It can be cold and wet so we needed warm clothes and rain gear one day, but the fire in the dining area is lovely in the evening to keep warm by. We loved our stay here although it is hard to find..luckily our driver communicated on the phone with Amila to get directions along the way.

Hands down the best place we have stayed in over our month we spent in Sri Lanka. Sadly, we stayed only one night but will gladly recommend this place for longer stays! The place is amazing, with quiet surroundings, immersed in jungle. Room is equipped with everything you need, and sparkling clean. The staff is very kind, attentive, and always helpful. The host himself cared for us very much, and is a true expert in running a hospitality business. Highly recommended!

Depending on the type of person you are, you could either love this spot or not. We LOVED it as it had INCREDIBLY helpful staff who communicated well and couldn't do more to help fulfill any of our requests. The breakfast was delicious and an abundance of food provided in one meal. It is very safe and easy to go on walks around the area. It is private and located in the middle of tea fields. If you want hustle and bustle of a town, then this is quite far out of that. If you want modern and new, then this is not for you. But if you want peace, calm and lovely surroundings with cooler weather, then absolutely. We loved our stay and were very comfortable. The host organized our transfer from the station to the accommodation, and he was outstanding - a tour guide as well as the driver - he told us many stories of the area - so knowledgeable!! There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance - we went to Frostbite for dinner - and quirky place with really good food!!

This place was so beautiful! So many well kept plants and the pool area was so nice. The gentleman working there and the lady that cooked were so kind and sweet and always smiling and wanting to help. Food was delicious. very kind people, even offered us our room to rest in after a safari after our check out time, so nice! Would definitely recommend this place and would stay again and again and again!

Part of the Grand Udawalawae Safari Resort and very nice place it is surrounded by mature forest. Quiet and away from the main road. Restaurant and bar on site. Swimming pool was nice. Great staff.

The stay was really great and the accommodation was stunning. The location is perfect for the safari and they were happy to help organise and answer any questions we had. There isn't a lot to do in the immediate area so the resort was lovely to chill and relax in around other activities. They were also helpful in providing a tuktuk to a nearby restaurant and friendly throughout our stay - would recommend!

Beautiful house in a beautiful surrounding. There’s two nice gardens to relax as well. The room is clean tidy and well done with amenities working properly. Best part of the stay was the host, Mr Jagath, who’s a kind and friendly man , always helped us with our requests and was warm. 10/10 stay. would recommend .

Our family of five stayed at Tranquil Wild for two nights, and it just wasn't long enough! We loved the size of our room, with a mezzanine for the kids, and everything was clean and comfortable. The communal dining and outdoor spaces, along with the pool, were the perfect spaces to relax in nature, with books, games and outdoor toys too. The staff, in particular Amal, just couldn't do enough for us and are an absolute credit to the establishment. Anne too was communicative, and arranged safaris at both Lunugamvehera and Udawalawe for us at reasonable prices, the former with an excellent guide. I was so grateful to have one less thing to do whilst trip planning! We'd absolutely recommend Tranquil Wild as a must do whilst in Sri Lanka.

A beautiful pet friendly place to stay right in the forest of Ella, yet a short walk to all the local attractions and amenities. Outstanding hospitality, a much welcomed warm shower and very comfortable beds! Looking forward to returning :)

The staff are the friendliest and go above and beyond to make your stay an enjoyable one. The place is amazing, so nice to be in a tea plantation and eat dinner on the terrace. And when the train comes, it’s impressive to see! We had the best stay, so far one of the best places to visit on our trip to Sri Lanka. I would definitely come back to stay here, it was a very enjoyable experience. Thanks again to your and your staff for having us and making it such an enjoyable experience :)

Very pretty little hut, very clean and very friendly staff. The accommodation was in the middle of the forest, you have to go up a steeper hill, but it worked out well. Somewhat away from the city, but we were mobile with the tuk tuk and you can also be driven into the city if necessary. The bathroom is a little dark, but otherwise everything is perfect. Good communication with the host. Value for money great. Would book again:)

Worth every penny, that was one of the coolest stays I’ve ever had. The place was great, I would highly recommend it, it’s right beside the river which soothes the soul and Lulls you to sleep. I have to talk about the service, wow, incredible, I felt like royalty the way I was treated, and the main gentleman I believe his name was Dithu? He was beyond amazing, he went so out of his way to make me feel welcome, secure and cared for. He truly was amazing, all the staff were! As well as the main lady, I can’t remember her name! They also told me about cricket and we watched the fame while they prepared me a feast. Thankyou everyone for an incredible and memorable stay.

We had a very nice stay at Asanka's. The bungalow was very comfortable and the bed is huge. Asanka was very friendly and hospitable. It's a nice place to relax.
