OceanView Villa & Bungalows

Mainstreet StockholmRating, 5 stars34 months ago
The feeling to live in a big private house with this garden almost like a jungle outside is amazing. The staff takes so good care of you and cook great meals. Jaku helped us with everything. Atm, shop, guids, food, showed us around, visit the villige school and was always on time. It is calm and not so many tourist around. The white beach outside is huge and its a great place for swimming. (I hope they start cleaning it a bit more, it deserve it. Nice restaurants close with wifi! The house is without so don't forget to load down the movie that you would like to see in the evening :) But these days its nice not having wifi all the time. Take the break, its good for us. The house gets a little dark in the evening but I hope there are more lamps next time I come back, because I really to want come back. They have changed the roof so don't get confused. its the same house as in the picture on airbnb. If you want get away from tourist and looking for a calm place just to relax, this is your house. And the house can absolutely take 15-20 persons. The villige behind it is small and not rich but the people that lives there are great and warm. we felt welcomed. So hire this place, meet the people that actually lives and was born in Zanzibar, Big hotels are all over the world, this is so much more. All my best, Siri

Mama Recho's Villa near Beach with local Cuisine

GáborRating, 5 stars5 months ago
A very well-equipped villa, especially if you keep your eyes open and see the conditions in which the local people live in their immediate surroundings. The locals are friendly and open, only language can be a barrier to making friends. We spent these few days just lazing around, we only went to the beach to go to the beach, to search in the sea, to play football in the sand. There is not a huge selection of restaurants and they are a bit more expensive than the other village we visited, Jambiani. The apartment and the kitchen are well equipped, you can also spend time in the garden, everything is added. We experienced something that we rarely get used to during our travels: the TV was not just a decoration on the wall, it worked, with lots of channels. Adam and Rahel are our two hosts. We found that Adam was there and easily available for us, he uses his phone, he doesn't only respond through the airbnb interface. He was at our disposal regarding power outages and internet problems

Beautiful Villa at Nungwi Beach - Mwambani Villa

CassandraRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Loved staying at Dullah's, he was very welcoming even staying up til 2am when we arrived due to delayed flight. The whole villa was gorgeous with spacious rooms, clean floors, pristine bathroom and crip sheets. The power including wifi would go off especially at night, we were prewarned and in Africa so didn't bother us but could for some. Dullah hooked us up with local companies for scuba diving and was full of recommendations! Could have communicated a little bit clearer on prices of laundry and paying for water as there was a bit of confusion but otherwise wonderful place to stay.

Hamia Zanzibar Villas. No 2

KendraRating, 5 stars16 months ago
We really enjoyed Hamia’s villa! Beautiful grounds, helpful and kind staff and co-hosts, great location, and rooms that were clean and well equipped. The plants are beautiful, rooftop, pool, workout space etc. This is not my first time in Zanzibar and I would recommend this villa to those who want a quick walk to Kendwa beach and to local places. The villa was a little difficult for our driver to find, but with a quick call to Patrick, we were able to find it. Use the RIU Palace as a landmark and it’s easy from there. Patrick, Omar, and the rest of the staff were beyond helpful and friendly. Offer to take you grocery shopping, and make sure you have everything you need no matter what. They take good care of the beautiful grounds and take good care of you when you stay at the villa. Thank you for opening your space to us. I had a wonderful time and I will definitely be back!

Tropical Beach Property: Quite Private Beach Villa

AlainRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Ina and Msuli are very pleasant, considerate and available hosts to facilitate the stay. Always good advice, they helped us organize our activities by offering us people we trust, especially when one of us was sick. The house is nice and the people employed are charming, always ready to help. Great stay!

Beachfront Villas | Sunset Views & Private Pool

JenRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Aziz’s place saved our group of 8 from being accommodation-less on our first trip to Zanzibar and it turned out for the better. We felt welcome immediately, nothing was too hard or impossible. We had 4 children under 6 with us and the hosts treated them as their own. Every morning we had our fill of fruit, eggs and toast but if you prefer to go out that was also easy and doable. We had 2 seafood feasts of octopus, crayfish, squid and fish which was some of the best cooked seafood our group has eaten. 3 of our days Jojo, one of the hosts came with us and made navigating stone town and the other places we visited much easier. The accommodation was beautiful, in a great peaceful location. It is difficult to find but I messaged Aziz and he sent a driver to collect us from the airport seamlessly. The accommodation itself is quite rustic but for us it was all we needed. The fact they had a pool for when the tide goes out was great for the kids. All in all a great experience for our group!

Luxe Villa - Beachfront Villa & Spa

KristinRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Lorenz was very responsive and accommodating, particularly when we expressed concern that the whirlpool is inside and cannot be closed off. we have a 3 year old who sometimes wanders at night and we were worried he would get into the pool while we slept; Lorenz offered to drain and cover the whirlpool for us. the beach is lively and clean and everyone we encountered was very friendly. lots of restaurants nearby on the beach. the house staff is very friendly and helpful. the washer listed as an amenity was not available but the staff took our laundry and washed and dried it for us.

Kena Beach Villas (Two Villas)

MarquesRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We booked both connecting airbnbs. They are identical. The prompt was even better than pictured. Many ig picture worthy spots. There is only ac on the bedrooms so the common areas do get warm. The house manager was extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend getting the chef he did a great job. There is a little convenience store about 10 min walk but other than that there isn’t a whole lot around. The location is an hour drive from The rock restaurant, stone town and the northern beach.

Tamani Villas (5-bedroom villa)

MeredithRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Overall, this place was fantastic. It’s a traditional Zanzibar design so it’s not a modern place, but exactly what we wanted. We were thrilled to be there with our large group of two families, including 5 children. Rasheed was excellent and accommodated all of our requests. Food, especially breakfast, was delicious. The beach outside the villa is pristine, with white sand beaches and a beautiful Indian Ocean right outside the doorstep. The private pool was incredible. The villa rental subsidizes the Tamani Foundation and its students, so staying here contributes to the education of local kids. Win win.

AlexanderRating, 5 stars7 months ago
great villa right on the beach of Kiwengwa. the beach is mostly active with locals from the village going about their day to day either fishing, kids playing or more; which is a refreshing sight compared to the overcrowded tourist beach's of Zanzibar. the villa is beautiful and the host great

private villa with private pool and beach

JosephRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The villa offers privacy, a private swimming pool, and beach access. Riccardo is simply an outstanding host. The structure offers a blend of Italian and Zanzibari culture. The housekeepers were highly professional and very warm. The villa is exceptionally impressive and extremely well-maintained. Of most the Airbnbs I have stayed in, I would highly rate this one without any reservations.

SandBank View Villa - Private Pool ZanzibarHouses

BartRating, 5 stars5 months ago
This was by far the best place we stayed at, which was agreed upon by a group of 6 guests. Check-in was very flexible and the place looked even better than described on the site. The place was cleaned daily and Co host Bakari was very attentive by coming daily to check on us. The surrounding areas were amazing and great food was all around the place. There was nothing that fell short. Overlooking the beach with bbq amenities on the roof top that offered great views all around. This place was phenomenal. Five stars in our view.

Magic Beach Villa

JohanRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Our 2 families (10 persons) had a great time and stay in this house over Christmas. This house doesn't have any AC but the fans do a pretty good job. Nice deep pool which was of great use as the tide and seaweed has big influence on the beach just outside . Along the shore there are couple of cozy restaurants. Be caution and aware of palm trees with coconuts that can fall down from the neighbor plots. Housekeeper Hidaya was great and so friendly, she helped with cleaning and cooking.

Private Nature Villa Kidoti - Solomon of Zanzibar

MarcoRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Our stay at the villa in the heart of Kidoti was truly unforgettable! The serene surroundings and beautifully designed minimalistic space made for a unique and relaxing experience. Mama Sulay was an incredible host, always available to provide helpful local tips, and the chef was one of the kindest people we met on our trip, his breakfasts were absolutely delicious! The villa blends seamlessly with nature, offering an open and airy feel. As a heads-up for future guests, the main villa is within the same garden and pool area as the host’s home, so while the setting is peaceful, those seeking complete privacy should take this into account. Additionally, since the villa is designed to be in harmony with nature, there are no glass windows, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs for added comfort. Overall, it was an amazing stay, and we highly recommend it to those looking for an authentic and tranquil getaway in Zanzibar!

Tangawiz villa your best villa

HamdanRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Great stay at Kendwa, nested amongst local homes, very quiet at night and cozy villa. Pool was amazing and sunset views from the rooftop were unbelievable. Short straight 3 minute downhill walk to Kendwa beach. I’d stay here again, thanks to the friendly and flexible host Omar, the housekeeper Mussa for his readily availability and Chef Ali for a great in house breakfast experience.
