Idyllic Bed and Breakfast Walden ( wâlden is the Frisian word for forests) is located in the National landscape of Northern Frisian forests. Characteristic is the ‘smûke’ scenery with thousands of kilometres of alder, dykswâlen (wooden ramparts) and hundreds of pingos and pools. The area has unique flora and fauna. Biodiversity is high here. A short distance from Groningen, Leeuwarden, Dokkum and the Ydillian Wadden Islands. The area is very suitable for hiking, cycling, canoeing.

The wood-fired Hottub can be rented separately for €90,- for a weekend and €120, - for a midweek/week.

Options for a fee and upon availability: bicycle rental, slow car charging, use of the shepherds hut sauna or Swedish hot tub (Størvatt without bubbles, not available in August).

Centrally and rurally located in Friesland, our 6-person vacation home is located. Close to nature reserve the Alde Feanen and close to the water sports village of Earnewald, but our capital Leeuwarden is also easily accessible. Lovely area for biking or walking. In the Alde Feanen, there is plenty to do for water sports enthusiasts. Also a day to one of the Wadden Islands is possible.
