Høgestølen is about 25 min from Hemsedal City Centre (Alpine Center), 15 min to grocery store, and about 5 min. to a network of cross country skiing trails. The cabin is heated with electricity and wood, heating cables in the bathroom and combined washer/dryer The cabin is steep! Car road to the door, possible to park right outside. Here you can experience total silence. In the summer there will be cows and sheep in the area.

Located at 930 meters above sea level, ski conditions are secured in the winter time, but also plenty of activity and swimming opportunities in the summer. Also Sognefjord is within 1 h reach. Distanse to Fagernes and Beitostølen is about 45 min. The famous old Kongevegen is within short distance, both the spectacular Kvamskleiva and crossing Filefjell.

Canoe and kayak lending during school holidays. 20 min. walking distance to Herangtunet. Plenty of nearby hiking. About 15 min with a car to Beitostølen. Good bus connections.
