Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Tromsø

it's quite far from the city ( 15 minutes by taxi ) i tried to call uber at 3pm and i could't get one. Tom said i could call taxi ( or book through website ) , which i haven't tried. there's a bus stop nearby, but you must go downhill from the apartmen. if you bring many lugagges, i think taxi is best. that's the downside. but the apartmen itself, loveeee it. The view facing tromso ( from 2 of the 3 bedrooms, and from living room ) is superb. so, no regrets. really enjoyed our stay here.

It was perfect! The house was clean and it had a lot of amenities. Quality was a high standard. I was very satisfied. No neighbors and super sauna. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi was not in operation... Contact was always great. I fell in love with this place! Thank you Truls!

The home was really beautiful and as described. The star of the home was the steam shower that was perfect after a long day of hiking. The couch was also large. Jarl was really flexible for our check in and out, plus was really fast to respond especially as we arrived which was helpful. You are only a thirty minute walk into town, so very close to all the bakeries and restaurants. Area is quiet, and one of the bedrooms is really dark which is great for the midnight sun.

Overall, we had a lovely stay. It was very quiet and the view was beautiful!! We were even able to see aurora lights. We will be happy to come back!!

Aptly named “The View,” this is a delightful place with spectacular panoramic view overlooking Tromso city center, across the water, including the Arctic Cathedral, and up onto Tromsdalen. I could have sat staring out the windows for hours. We walked (two of us ran) the surrounding snow palace. We enjoyed trolls, the top of Tromsdalen, nearby islands, local cuisine, and exploring the city center and trails. Through it all, our hosts were wonderful - patiently and expertly helping with all manner of questions. A terrific, memorable travel experience. Will definitely seek out The View again when our travels bring us back to Tromso.

Such a lovely Airbnb! Close to bus stops into town, although the walk in was fine as well. Beds really comfortable and the whole house was just cozy. We also saw the northern lights from the window!

Apartment was incredible and perfect for our family of 3. If you want to be away from city center, this is the place for you. Local transportation is within walking distance and very reliable even during a snowstorm. Knut was welcoming and helpful. Can’t recommend Knut’s place enough.

The apartment is located in a quite neighborhood at the top of the mountain. The bus stop is only a few hundred meters away. Across the street you have a beautiful view of the city, on the last evening we watched the aurora lights above the house, the city and the stony, really very nice. For skiers (cross-country skiing) the area is perfect. There are several illuminated trails in the immediate vicinity (e.g. Charlottenlund or Prestvatnet). I also liked the Tromsø Alpinpark. They are very nice hosts, I didn't have to ask any questions at all, as everything was answered beforehand via the Airbnb app (code for the key box, Wi-Fi, garbage separation, access to the apartment, ...). Since it was not my first stay in Tromsø, I did not rely on excursion tips, but there are several brochures on the shelf for this. By bus you are down in the city in about 10 minutes. The surroundings (generally northern Norway) are beautiful.

Karsje’s place is just amazing in one word. The place is so cozy offering amazing views of Tromso. The space was perfect for 5 of us including our 5 year old son. The house had a well structured instruction manual so that we didn’t have to bother the host a lot, but still they were very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of utensils so that you could cook without any hassle. There is a car parking available and also the bus stop is just a 10 minutes walk from the house. Just keep in mind that the house in a quite neighbourhood a bit away from the city, so you will have to travel a bit to find restaurants and supermarkets ( 10 minutes with a car or 15-20 minutes with bus). We enjoyed the stay a lot and would recommend it to anyone who visits Tromso.

The house is a super nice place to stay for a few days with a beautiful view(!!!) and all the luxury you need. Ørjan explained everything clearly and easily through a manual. If we ever go back to Tromsø, this house will be high on the list to stay again.

Line’s apartment is an outstanding place to stay in Tromso! The city center and all its amenities are less than 10 minute’s walk away. The location is uphill from the center, which requires some ascent, but the reward is a beautiful view and a peaceful site. The balcony view is even better than the photos suggest, and I enjoyed spending time out there whenever weather permitted. The apartment itself is very comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you would need for cooking. Line was a great host and very responsive. I would be very happy to stay here again on a return visit.

We had such a great time here in Tromso and at the apartment, it is a very peaceful and pleasant place, wonderful spot to have a break from our daily routine. The Northern Lights here are extraordinary and we had the amazing chance to see them directly above the house, it was magical, we leave with lovely memories. We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment! It's incredibly cozy, beautifully furnished, and has a stunning view. Everything we needed was there - it really felt like a home away from home. The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made our experience even better. Great stay! Check-in was seamless, and the location was excellent—just a short walk to the city center, Main Street, and the cathedral. The room was small but well-equipped and perfect for a short stay. The highlight was spotting the Northern Lights from the rooftop terrace—a fantastic bonus! Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful stay in Tromso and in Siv’s home! The apartment was easy to find, secure, and centrally located. We walked everywhere, to restaurants, tour pickups, shops. Her home is clean, comfortable, with plenty of space and good views of the water & mountains. Siv is a wonderful host, always friendly and communicative. Highly recommend!!

Ingrid's place is super cute! I can see why it might be a little challenging to find at first but she gave us the most thorough, easy to understand instructions I have ever gotten with an Airbnb. Complete with pictures! She is also the most responsive host I have ever encountered. When I told her my plans to cycle from Tromso to the Lofoten Islands she gave me a ton of suggestions of sights to see and things to do.

I really enjoyed my stay at Tea's place. The location is fantastic, only a 5 minute walk to the centre of town. The place is small but perfect for solo travelers or a couple. Comfortable bed, great shower and well-equipped kitchen (including coffee maker). And Tea was very helpful with any issues. I highly recommend if you are looking for central and comfortable place to stay in Tromso

We’ve used this Airbnb after our flight to Tromsø airport. Was great for a nights stay.

Quiet location, short walking distance to the city center and the shop open on Sundays. Very good bed, nice living room with access to Netflix and kitchenette with both coffee and tea available! I could hear from the floor above, but it didn't bother me as it was quiet from the evening! The bathroom is a little worn, but okay! All in all, a very nice experience and I will gladly come back!
