"Traditional Cornish Cottage, Cosy and Homely"

ElizabethRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A lovely cornish cottage with great garden for our dog & very convenient parking right outside thd front door which is good for the price. A good & handy welcome guide. We walked to Charlestown which only takes 15 minutes & is beautiful, had a coffee & really nice stroll, beach & harbor walk. We drove to Mevagissey which only takes 20 minutes, enjoyed the atmosphere, shops & a pasty here. The only downside was couldn't find anywhere nice right where we were like a cafe. Busy traffic but quieter at night. Only tip for cottage would be curtains for room our daughter stayed in for coziness & block light out more & a curtain to go accross front door for the same reasons. Other than that its a spacious, pretty & clean cottage, checking in and out was simple. Thank you.

Lovely private double room with en-suite shower

Without hesitation I would stay with Dawn again and/or recommend her place to friends. Dawn went out of her way to help me feel welcome, comfortable and safe. In addition to providing a plethora of written materials about the area, she freely spoke with me about activities she thought I would enjoy. When I was having some difficulties booking travel arrangements, Dawn was there to help and made sure I was off safely to my next adventure. Thank you Dawn!

Spacious house, garden and parking in Polgooth.

KevinRating, 5 stars9 months ago
John and Viv were lovely hosts and made us feel at home from the outset, with milk and some very nice chocolates in the kitchen. We were confident that they were approachable and would help in any way we needed. Their home is in a quiet secluded location at the edge of Polgooth yet within easy walking distance of both the village shop/postoffice and the local pub, the Polgooth Inn which is good for ale, ambiance, dinners and breakfasts. The house is spacious, spotlessly clean with every facility we needed. We had sole use of the large front garden together with BBQ and outside dining. In addition it is a good central location in St Austell bay so we were in easy reach of beaches from Polkerris to Porthluney cove. First class hosts and a smashing place to stay. We had a great holiday!

Wonderful house close to beaches, gardens, Eden.

We had a lovely stay at Sarah’s place. The accommodation was perfectly comfortable, clean and suitable to our needs (although a bath may have been useful). Sarah was good to communicate with, and we had a great holiday, despite some indifferent weather.

En-suite room nr Eden & Heligan 5 with pool

We have just returned from spending two nights at Sally's home and it was fantastic. We highly recommend it! We found the house easily thanks to the thorough and accurate instructions, and once we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Sally's daughter Carla and husband Rob. The house is in a superb location, and we used it as a base to explore The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan which are both only a short drive away. We also visited Charlestown which has excellent options for food. The house itself was a joy to stay in and we felt right at home. Our room was immaculate and we were extremely well looked after. It has extensive grounds to explore, including a pool, tennis court and a play area for the kids. Carla is brilliant. We couldn't have asked for a more friendly and helpful host. We felt like we were staying with friends! Thank you Carla, Rob and family, we had an amazing time in Cornwall.
