I cannot overstate how amazing this place is. I was looking for an escape into the woods and it was exactly what I wanted. The setting of the cottage is stunning, right on the river and surrounded by trees. It feels remote, even though it's only a short walk into the village. The welcome was really friendly, you can tell that the owners are very active in their community and have put together loads of local info. I particularly liked the map of the community forrest which made me feel confident enough to explore walks by myself. The cottage itself is beautifully kept, with everything that you need, and then some. I didn't want to leave.

We spent a fabulous couple of days at The Forge. The place is as described - very comfortable and fully equipped for an escape to the countryside. We loved the thoughtful welcome basket of goodies too. Set in extensive grounds and with plenty of local walking, it was a chance to completely unwind and relax. A big thank you to Mel, the property manager, who provided full and clear information and was friendly and responsive to our queries.

Such a lovely place to stay. We only booked for two nights and wish we had been there for longer. Lots of really interesting features (a suit of armour! A harp!) in a well stocked house. Very comfortable beds and sofas, beautiful views (we especially enjoyed all the bird nesting in the eaves), gorgeous interior, starry Dark Skies and nice hosts - what's not to love? Great parking. Wish we could have had a few more nights, to check out the pub just down the road.

Booked for a 50th birthday celebration and reunion. A great time was had by all! Lois was around to meet and greet and the items provided for breakfast was an unexpected but very welcome surprise! Thanks for a great stay Lois!

Wow……one of the best places we’ve ever stayed in!! Beautiful lodge that was immaculately clean, lovely kitchen to cook in and the outside decking area was perfect to sit out and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We saw dozens of Red Kites throughout our stay which was a real treat as we’re big nature enthusiasts! We loved it so much that we’re heading back in just under 4 weeks time for 6 nights 😎 a real gem of a find, the golf club was very welcoming and the food was lovely! Really cannot rate this beautiful place highly enough!! Looking forward to the next one already!!

Such a lovely place for our multigenerational family to enjoy the long weekend together. The highlights were definitely the pool and the large lounge where we spent lots of time together but didn't feel ontop of each other! Richard's excellent communication added to the overall positive experience. We highly recommend this cottage!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Perfect for a Big Family Getaway We stayed at Clipston Farmhouse and it exceeded all expectations. The house is full of character, beautifully restored, and incredibly spacious—there was more than enough room for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves without ever feeling cramped. The real highlight was the private heated pool, which was warm, spotless, and a huge hit with both kids and adults. The kitchen was well-equipped for group cooking, and the multiple lounges and dining spaces made socialising easy and enjoyable. Every single member of the family—from toddlers to grandparents—left happy and satisfied. This place is a rare gem and ideal for large group gatherings.

Staying here was an absolute pleasure. Everything was clean and as described. The hosts were very polite and responsive. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for the weekend and we will definitely be coming back.

Ty Canol is very comfortable and well appointed. It's an old stone cottage with a small mature garden. five minutes walk from the sea. We felt at home straight away.

The cottage was beautiful with amazing views. Beautifully decorated with well equipped kitchen. Spotlessly clean. 2 minutes drive to the village with 2 great pubs and a very well stocked village shop. Highly recommended. if we're in the area again, would definitely stay again.

Overall a great stay. Suzanne is friendly and very responsive when contacted. The cottage is 2miles out of town so handy for restaurants and shops but far enough away to be very peaceful in its secluded location. Useful double garage to store bikes in too. The elan valley in spectacular with excellent cycling walking routes all nearby.

Beautiful house, in a beautiful setting, couldn’t ask for anymore

Lovely cottage with peaceful quiet surrounding and local walks. There are some fantastic scenic walks straight from the front door and the town is a 2 minute drive away with local shop and a few pubs. Beds were very comfy, the oven/hob took some getting used to but once we got the hang of it it was very enjoyable to cook on. Everything was very clean and the log burner was a lovely touch for the end of the day to get warm after winter walk.

Wonderful stay . This is the perfect remote retreat. It oozes character. Spectacular views. You really won’t want to leave !

Merlin's cottage was a perfect base for our trip to the area. We had come for Man v Horse and location was great! The property itself was clean and really spacious! We were surprised by the space it offered for a one bedroom cottage! It was clean and in a lovely condition. Communication was very easy with John and Liz, check in was so simple, clear instructions and labels on everything! It was just what we needed!

Such a beautiful spacious one bed cottage, with gorgeous gardens surrounding and Helen was friendly and helpful. The cottage was spotlessly clean and bigger than we expected. Walking through the gate in the wall was like walking into the secret garden. A perfect base and everything needed was there and a shop close by. We hope to stay again one day.

Fabulous place, perfect for our stay. Steve was a great host, really helpful and gave us lots of tips and suggestions. Louise the housekeeper was lovely gave us a tour and even unpacked our shopping that arrived before we did. Kitchen is really well equipped, and beds were very comfortable. I'd suggest finding out how to cook on an electric range if you intend to cook. Highly recommend this property for big family gatherings. Perfect.

Brilliant stay! The house was bigger than expected with a lovely large garden. The host was very responsive to any questions we had and was helpful in providing lots of information about the location. The house is in a lovely quiet location with a short drive from Ludlow. Ludlow is beautiful and would highly recommend. Overall, a great air bnb and would highly recommend.

This property was perfect for our needs. Five separate rooms . Great parking for motorbikes..minutes from pubs and shops. Our host was very approachable and keen to ensure our stay was perfect. Communication was excellent . Jim

We stayed at Under Starry Skies for a short getaway from our busy lives, and it turned out to be the perfect escape. The place is absolutely beautiful — surrounded by nature and so peaceful that you instantly feel relaxed. The house itself is fully equipped with everything you might need. From a well-stocked kitchen to cozy interiors, every little detail has been thoughtfully taken care of. One of the best parts is that you don’t even have to step out to enjoy your time — the property has enough space to walk around, unwind, and just soak in the calm atmosphere. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic retreat in Wales, this is the place to be. We left feeling refreshed and would love to return again someday.
