Holiday rentals with lake access in Trafford Park

We loved the cottage very comfortable amazing views in a beautiful setting. The hot tub overlooking the lake was idyllic. Sarah was a fabulous host nothing was too much trouble. Children friendly games etc well equipped the grandchildren loved the cats visiting, feeding the goats treats and playing in the garden. Plenty of wonderful walks we loved the canal walks stumbled across great cafes pubs and local shops...the local pub the junction had a great menu and food was delicious. We would definitely come back again thanks again Sarah

Terrific home, really enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful, very relaxing, close to amenities, lovely view from the living room and porch that brought a serene vibe to the whole place; we had a ball! Would definitely book again!

I had a fantastic stay at Sunny’s 2-bedroom house in Wigan. The location is ideal—just a short drive from the town centre yet peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect base for exploring or relaxing. Alexandra Park is a 10-minute walk away on one side, and the canal is a 10-minute walk away on the other side. If, like me, you like going for runs, this is perfect. The house was spotless, spacious, and even had a garden. Both bedrooms were comfortable and well-furnished, and the living area was cosy and inviting. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the home, like fresh linens and a few welcome treats. Sunny was a great host—friendly, responsive, and made sure everything was just right for my stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. If you're visiting Wigan, this place is a real gem!

Peter’s place was exactly as it looks in the photos, finished to a high standard, and clean throughout. We had sky tv & Netflix throughout the house (including the cinema room), and enjoyed the easy to use Sonos-style speakers that are situated throughout the house. There are walkable shops and pubs in the village nearby and it’s a short drive to Tatton Park, Quarry Bank or Alderley Edge if you’re looking for outdoor walks. The pond & stream in the garden are great to look out upon and provide a peaceful setting. Everything was straight forward but Peter was easily contactable if we needed him. A great stay overall and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

This place was perfect for what we needed and perfect for our dog, right out the back there’s a nice forested area for walking dogs and it’s situated close to shops :) would recommend!

Where do I start with this review? Chris is one of the most genuine, caring and wonderful people you will ever meet! He saved us from a horrific amount of stress whilst holidaying in Mexico! For some background we had to move out of our home just before going due to an internal soil pipe leak and had been living between parents and hotels just before our family holiday of a lifetime. Whilst we were away the insurers and loss adjustors agreed signed off for a long stay or let meaning we then had to try and find somewhere whilst we were on the other side of the world! I dropped Chris a message and just WOW… What a guy, if it wasn’t for him we’d have likely ruined what remained of our holiday. His place is stunning, so homely and in a beautiful location - everything you need on your doorstep with the most incredible host! It is not a shock Chris carries a 5 Star rating and it is well and truly deserved, do not hesitate and book or reach out! You won’t be disappointed, thanks Chris! 🫶

Our stay was lovely, the price was very reasonable and Fatima was very quick to respond to our messages. There was a disruption to the water at one point due to some nearby construction and she was very quick to send someone to check on the water, which we really appreciated. But a couple of things could really have improved our stay. My girlfriend felt that a small bin in the bathroom would have been very handy and we were also disappointed to find that there were no cereal bowls or pasta dishes in the property, only plates, so we had to pick up some extra crockery.

10/10 recommendation. Will definitely be coming back. Absolutely loved the place and the location. Host was so kind and lovely.

Fabulous place in the perfect location, easy access, privacy, loads of space. Was immaculate on arrival, lovely and warm and with everything we needed for a short break. Had our 2 dogs with us and its perfect for them.

Raya was an amazing host. After needing somewhere else to stay last minute I found Rayas place available. Raya was very responsive and we quickly made arrangements for my booking she was very helpful and was there to welcome us when we arrived and offer local information to where we could go eat and have a look around. We had everything we needed and I would happily stay again. Thanks Raya for being a great host.

cosy, comfortable, well equipped cottage by the canal. Walk along the canal right from the back door or sit up on the tow path seating area for morning coffee or evening drinks. Great place to stay for a peaceful break or to explore the gorgeous peak district. Very responsive helpful host

We stayed a couple of nights in this lovely cottage whilst visiting family nearby. Comfortable and very nicely decorated and furnished. The location is excellent with walks around the reservoirs and up onto the moors from the door, plus 10 minutes walk to the shops, pubs and cafes in Station Road

The cottage was so clean & looks recently decorated. The large lounge with comfortable sofas was so inviting. It was to warm to use but the log burner on a cold winters day would be so good. All the rooms were spotlessly clean. The beds were so comfortable. It’s the small things that make a difference, a pint of milk in the fridge, tea bags & a packet of biscuits on the side were most welcome after a long drive. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

My friend and I had 3 lovely days at Chew Cottage. It’s in a beautiful area, with local pubs and fabulous walking. The house is quirky and as described. Lovely little garden and house was very cosy. Jeanne was pro-active in responding to a problem with the Tv signal, arranging for the aerial to be repaired the next morning. As an Airbnb host myself, I appreciated the facilities and good communication. Lots of free on street parking nearby I .e. Just across the road.
