Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Townsville

The cottage is remarkably private and set back off the road. It is rustic, yet chic and is perfectly stocked with absolutely everything required for the perfect getaway! The bush setting was gorgeous and we were greeted by wallabies on our arrival! The communication with our host was prompt, informative, and covered everything from booking ferries to pre-arranging groceries for our arrival. We took our little dog, who was right at home in the cottage and welcomed into most restaurants/cafes on the island. We would highly recommend staying here. Perfect couples and fur-baby retreat!!

My son had the best time and I got to kick back and relax. Jason was super friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure!

I have to say Jane has been nothing but amazing I appreciate everything she has done. My son and I move from Sydney and Jane has been extremely accommodating extended how stay. I recommended Jane’s little cottage it’s has everything you need. My son especially loved the chickens.

The host was great to communicate with. There was a mistake on website booking and they were able to be flexible about it, which we really appreciated. Location is perfect for having a dog as close to the dog beach and for humans being close to a great hiking trial and restruarants.

I booked this listing with short notice the response was quick and the Hosts made sure we didn't have any issues accessing the property, The property very spacious, clean and close to Shops and The Strands. It is also fenced. The hosts make sure you're well settled and easy to communicate with if you have any concerns.

Third time we have stayed at the picnic house. Amazing place and we will definitely be back!!

Di was an amazing host. She knew we were on a long road trip and proactively checked in with us with updates on flooding south of Townsville and road closures. Di was also very accommodating of our two dogs and our stay was very comfortable.

Beautiful home perfectly located in Townsville. Lovely owners extremely accommodating with great communication and recommendations for the area. I had an incredible stay at this Airbnb on Macrossan Street in Townsville! The location was absolutely perfect—close to everything I needed and surrounded by the vibrant atmosphere of the area. The space itself was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The host was fantastic—responsive, welcoming, and clearly put a lot of thought into making the experience as seamless as possible. I truly appreciated the little touches that made the space feel like home. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again the next time I’m in Townsville. Highly recommend!

We loved Richard’s beautiful home. The space has been thoughtfully designed and is beautiful and practical, with the two pavilions offering space and privacy. Beautifully clean and in such a handy location to town. Everything about this has the wow factor. We loved the pool, the indoor-outdoor aspects of the decks hallway. Thank you for hosting us. Allison is a wonderful host, nothing is too much. A great place that is central to what we needed. Supermarket, restaurants close by. Definitely recommend this host and air bnb. Would stay again.

We would totally recommend this property, lovely vibes as soon as you walk into the spacious living, kitchen area. We loved the kitchen, plenty of room for a couple of cooks. The 3 bathrooms worked a treat, the main ensuite is amazing. We made good use of the lovely shaded pool, perfect for the Townsville summer. We have had a perfect relaxing break, the house was very easy to keep clean and tidy, we will definitely stay again on our next break up North.

The accomodation was beautifully presented with lots of little welcoming touches. There was plenty of space and thoughtful additions to make our stay memorable. It was exactly what we hoped it would be and more! Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing getaway.

Really enjoyed our stay at Salt Ayres. We had so many different outings planned on the island but ended up spending most of the time just hanging out at the home, especially in the outdoor and pool area. Such a fun and interactive space for my little family, and an amazing vibe. This is a beautiful and well thought out space, one of the best I've come across. Host is very attentive, thoughtful, and very proactive. We can't wait to come back!

What beautiful home :) It really felt like home as we walked in the door, the home is in a great location close to the city and QCB stadium which was perfect for us. Definitely would recommend giving Kate's home a try. Will be back to stay in the near future.

Eric's 'Home away from home' met every expectation our family had for a simple but clean, Pet friendly stay in a nice quiet location close to Townsville. Eric was an extremely accommodating host and the owners of the Bistro/Pizzaria that Eric's place backs onto are one of the friendliest and most welcoming couples we have ever encountered. The food at their establishment was Fabulous and the service is superb. We look forward to visiting again soon.

The Pineapple House was a hidden gem in North Ward. From the moment we arrived, it just felt special. Quiet, clean, and super comfortable, it had everything we needed for a perfect few days away. The location was spot on, close to the Strand but tucked away enough to feel peaceful. The hosts were incredible with communication, clear, kind, and helpful every step of the way. You can tell they genuinely care about creating a great experience. We couldn’t have asked for better. Highly recommend.
