Leyside, Torcross, beach-living!

Leyside is a beautiful, cosy and very comfortable, semi-detached cottage that overlooks the beautiful Slapton Ley in South Devon, a freshwater inland lake that is separated from the sea by a three mile long shingle ridge. Set in the middle of the thriving village of Torcross, there is no need to get in the car as the beach is on the doorstep, an excellent pub/restaurant and tea rooms are a few yards walk away and a good farm shop with garden centre and gift and craft shops as well as a brewery.

The Old Bakery, minutes from the beach

The Old Bakery dates back to 1836 and lies at the heart of the coastal village of Stoke Fleming, outside Dartmouth. Set on the South West Coast Path, it is 15 minutes’ walk from the award-winning beach of Blackpool Sands and an ideal base from which to explore the South Hams and Dartmoor. The spacious accommodation features an open-plan living room and dining area, bedroom, panelled en-suite shower room and modern fully-fitted kitchen. Private parking is available at the back of the property.

With unrivalled views of Start Bay and Slapton Ley the flat is a perfect place to unwind. Relaxing on the balcony you can enjoy watching wild birds and on the odd occasion otters, there is direct access to the Torcross waterfront and the long shingle beach along with The Start Bay Inn and The Boathouse. Dartmouth, Totnes and Salcombe are all a short drive away with their independent shops and excellent pubs and restaurants. Stunning walks along the SW coast path give access to secluded bays.

The Old Bake House is a beautifully restored 4 bed/ 3 bath large home with hot tub, just seconds from the ocean. Step out of the front door with your coffee and onto the 3 mile beach (famous Slapton Sands) within seconds. It also overlooks a Site of Special Scientific Interest (Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve) -the views are stunning! The building is a Victorian property in Torcross, with 3 floors and large rooms with high ceilings. It's very spacious with 'boutique hotel' style decor!

Kiln Nook, Stokenham

A beautiful open plan studio apartment, furnished to the highest standard for self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen with oven, grill, hob, fridge, microwave. There is a dining area, lounge equipped with a TV and a great wet room. Outside is a private patio area with sun loungers and bistro set. Ample parking on drive. A cream tea awaits you on arrival. 1 night bookings only accepted Sun-Thurs. 3 night stays in the summer preferred, but ask to see if we can accommodate you.

Beesands with its renowned pub & fish restaurant and the coastal path are less than a mile away. The barn is situated approx. 6 miles from Kingsbridge and 8 miles from Dartmouth. Salcombe is easily reached by foot ferry from East Portlemouth 5 miles away.
