5-minute walk from the station. It looks like a pension, but it's relaxing in a Japanese-style room.

"Mitsuba House" by onsen, Karuizawa 35 min, Max 14

JianminRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Typical Japanese flat floor with a sense of history, very spacious room, many rooms, suitable for everyone. You can grill, the kitchen is fully equipped, there are many toys for the kids, and there is a large field behind the house with a good view. The host is American and more enthusiastic. The shortage is close to the road, of course, there are not many road cars in the countryside, I don't know if the electricity load is too large, and the power is cut several times, although it was restarted in about ten seconds.

The host is nice and talkative, especially when you traveling from Kawaguchiko Station and accommodation. Also, the host will provide the map for his suggestion location around the accommodation. Also, the host will giveaway his photos for a souvenir! If I go to Mr. Fuji again, I will book it again!

Irori Guesthouse Tenmaku Family Room

DominicRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Great place to stay in the Hakone area. Easy to get to the train station and bus routes. The Hakone Open Air Museum is just next door and it's definitely worth spending a few hours there. The staff was absolutely great! Super friendly and helpful. They recommended great places for food, an onsen nearby and other places to visit. There's a small trailer selling good coffee just in front of the hostel. The grilled fish dinner is also highly recommended. It was a fun time and the food was great. Thank you!

The old country house transferred to Kamakura

雅婧Rating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The house is very quiet, although you can see that it is a few years old, it is well maintained, and the tiles and floors are very clean. You can give your luggage to the host in advance, but you can only enter the room after check-in time. The host is a very kind uncle who will carefully introduce the instructions for the use of the room facilities, and because we are two girls staying, so he prepared curtains to block the washbasin and bathroom door, which made us feel very safe.We checked in at the beginning of June and they prepared a slightly thicker quilt for us. At this time, Kamakura is still a little cold at night, and the quilt is just right. There is a small fan in the room, and those who are afraid of heat can also use it. I saw the previous reviews, and some people said that it is not convenient to turn the chandelier in the room if you are not tall enough. We have prepared a small pedal that you can step on to turn off the lights.Regarding the toiletries in the bathroom, I personally feel that the shampoo is a little dry, because my friend and I both sprayed styling spray that day, so the shampoo is not very good at washing off the styling spray. You can buy portable disposable shampoo at 711 at Kamakura Station, which is quite useful.I'll come back to stay if I have the chance ~ I didn't get to enjoy the room properly this time.

B&B _Enfuji View, Free Pick-up and Drop-off, Japanese-style Room, Private Room 1, Futon

TaylorRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I chose this house because it reminded me of a traditional Japanese home—and it did not disappoint! The house is spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the entire stay was incredibly peaceful. Plus I can’t forget the beautiful view of Mt. Fuji from my room in the house. Sachi-san was so polite, kind, and hospitable. She picked me up from the bus station and dropped me off again at the end of my stay, which made everything so convenient. She also gave great recommendations for local places to eat and pointed them out around the area, which was super helpful. The neighborhood is beautiful and serene—perfect for long walks or bike rides (she has bikes available to rent too!). It was such a relaxing and authentic experience. Highly recommend staying here!

Kiyomizu House: Historic estate by onsen, Max 32

Rating, 5 stars2 months ago
This facility was taken care of at this facility during the university's training camp (it is recommended to use the training camp plan on a different route rather than through this app). Even though it was a last-minute reservation without a day until the training camp, they gave it a heartbreaking and energetic response. We received warm words and support for the success of the training camp on the day, and we had a memorable itinerary. It was also very interesting to have a lot of stories about the history of the Kiyomizu House and guide us to nearby attractions. The futons and linens were very clean, and the kitchen and toilet were easy to use.The refrigerator and microwave in the kitchen were free to use, and there were dishes. The morning and lunch rice was rich and delicious, especially the warm rice and miso soup from the morning.Jenga and card games were also available in the room where the digging torch was located, so we had a great time together. There was also adequate heating in the bedroom. It was a well used and comfortable facility so far, I was able to have a warm interaction with the owner, and I was able to make it a memorable and good training camp.We also had a good time touching history and thinking about the beauty and depth of Japanese architecture.Thank you again for everything.

This is one of the best places I’ve stayed at. The onsen and traditional Japanese dinner were memorable. We also were able to see Mt Fuji from the window. Cherry blossoms were in bloom. It was quintessential.

Our stay here was amazing! The hosts spoke very little english but were amazing at using google translate, they explained everything about using onsen respectfully etc which made us feel much more comfortable, and made our stay so much more peaceful. Everything was clean and organised, we got a lovely free breakfast and had a traditional dinner which was a very cool experience. The host was even lovely enough to drop us off at the station the next day! Will absolutely recommend this to anyone coming to Japan, great to spend a few days here to relax and unwind before heading home.

Ume (Bunk bed type 1 person room) D

ChingManRating, 5 stars80 months ago
This place is great if you are visiting kawaguchi- it’s 30 mins by local bus but there’s pick up and drop off service from kawaguchi station for check in and check out. I was there for the 7th fujisan marathon and I arrived the day earlier. The house is really clean and there’s towel, soup and shampoo provided too. The bed and pillow are super comfortable as well. There’s curtain to ensure privacy and there’s 4 bunk bed in one room. The area is very country side and it will be perfect if you are driving . You can park there :) there’s also tatami room downstairs. The host is super helpful and very fast response to all my questions. When I took the bus back home after the marathon and it was the last bus, she waited on me and I actually missed one stop and she drove out to find me. Thank you very much 有里小姐❤️ The breakfast included in the price is very delicious (miso soup, rice, fish and egg). Highly recommended this place for anyone who visit kawaguchi :) next time I will come with my family too :)

Historic Dragon temple hotel. Enjoy ZEN meditation

JamesRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful stay at this templestay. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating—even when we accidentally arrived a day early! The temple grounds are peaceful and beautiful, the Japanese food was delicious, and the daily meditation sessions added a meaningful rhythm to our visit. A memorable and calming experience—highly recommended.
