We are a very small walk/ride to the Rails to Trails. This is a trail that runs from Fredericksburg to Killbuck (15 miles) perfect for bikes or walks.

I planned a surprise fishing trip for my husband and chose Creekside Cabins after talking to the very helpful host, Debbie. The directions were clear, and the old barn landmark made it easy to find. We immediately thought, “We should bring the whole family next time!” The Shanty and the big cabin are close together, but noise wasn’t much of an issue. Inside our cabin, we hardly noticed neighbors. The first night it rained, so we grilled and relaxed in the cozy rocking chairs. The bed was very soft — I prefer firmer, but it was comfortable. Mornings with coffee on the patio overlooking the river were peaceful. My husband spent the weekend fishing while I read by the fire pit. The shared shower house was large and clean with good hot water and pressure. We’re already planning to return! Bonus: my husband broke his line trying to reel in a 3-footer and caught several carp — it’s definitely a good fishing spot!

We enjoyed our stay from start to finish. Diana and her husband (sorry, I forgot his name) were very welcoming and kind. Spirit, their dog, was also a friendly boy as well. He would visit us daily just to say Hi. The location was private but still close to restaurants, wineries, shopping, etc. We enjoyed playing the games that they had available to us. Our favorite was the game skittles. We also enjoyed fishing in the pond. The first night, a storm came through right at bedtime. It was perfect timing! We both slept better than we do at home. Diana's attention to detail did not go unnoticed. she had everything that you would need plus more and the treehouse was beautifully decorated and they had plenty of lighting around the area. We will definately be back again!!!

My wife and I was looking for a cabin where we could, Unwind, Relax and Recharge. Getting away from the big city hustle and bustle. This cabin was definitely the answer, very peaceful, clean, has all the needed essentials. Inside the cabin it is decorated like a hunting cabin. The host was very quick to respond with any questions we had. We found some local wineries that we really enjoyed, the Canel Boat ride is very interesting and the historic city is worth a stroll. If you are looking for a place to Recharge this is the place in our opinion.

The cabin was beautiful and cozy. You could hear the birds singing and the wind swaying the trees. There were some trails looping around the cabin to explore the surroundings. Teresa was very attentive and friendly, she provided plenty of firewood for us and gave us recommendations for nearby parks and local attractions.

The Shed was spotless! Everything was there one would need. lovely. It seemed very country and Inviting at first. I could not imagine car after car going down the road. Then the shreak of engines reving was startling. I picked the wrong or right night to book depending if you are a race fan. A speedway was very close. That was why so much traffic. I imagine a non race night would be Idealic. The sound was terrifying since I was unaware. I could really like even love it on a quiet summer evening. I would sit out or walk. A tremendous rain storm made it a quiet place as it cancelled the race. This would be a perfect place for fans. If not I would check the track's schedule and book a no race day. The Shed, cabin is well laid out and one of the best I have stayed at.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway . It was so cozy and peaceful, and we enjoyed walking the trails and meeting the goats! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to stay with beautiful surroundings away from the hustle and bustle.
