It’s a lovely house in a beautiful village. Nice and quiet and very friendly locals. Pub “ O Connors” was great for food. The place was spotlessly clean. Will be going there again I hope. Great for peace and quiet. Host super helpful .😃

The Treehouse, Minvaud Upper

This has to be the best Airbnb experience I’ve had. Excellent communication, friendly and welcoming. Thoughtful touches, so clean, quality linen and towels. Trish left food and drinks and it was lovely to just arrive and relax! It’s quiet was warm for our stay so no need for the fire but it was set and ready to go. It’s quiet and picturesque. All round we had a fantastic visit and I would love to stay again. It’s just under an hour from Glendalough and 30 mins to Grangecon which has a lovely cafe and bakery.

Fort William, Cullen’s Cottage, Wicklow

Perfection! Ciara and Eammon have created a destination in itself at their home with views, charm and comfort. They lovingly restored the house from the comfortable beds, to gorgeous window treatments and bathrooms. Each of the windows and doors look out upon the stunning Irish countryside. The living space is spacious and comfortable. My whole family felt at home and wanted to just move in! Sitting outside at the table overlooking the fields with sheep was a special treat each morning. Ciara gave us eggs from their chickens and fresh made scones and snacks for our arrival, so generous and delicious. Our daughter had the time of her life watching the sheep and chickens and exploring the garden. Our family used the barn to hang out with a fire and a pint overlooking the garden! The walk into town was gorgeous and quick. Roundwood restaurants were wonderful with the grocery store we had all we needed. The location is prime, less than 30min to hiking, the sea, gardens and Glendalough!!

Ballymaconey House Bed and Breakfast

We loved staying at Ann's place. the drive up was magical with the sheep and the beautiful horse on both sides of her driveway. Ann was flexible about our arrival time as we spent more time than planned in Kilkenny before arriving. upon arrival Ann brought us tea and we relaxed in her great room enjoying the quiet beautiful scenery after a beautiful day. Ann was accommodating and so wonderful to chat with when we arrived. the beds were comfy and we had the most peaceful experience. it was exactly what we needed before our hike the next day. We highly recommend staying with Ann if you are looking for a peaceful one of a kind experience!

Bell tent among the trees

It was a truly serene and enchanting experience. Tucked away among the trees and embraced by nature, the place felt like a secluded haven—peaceful, soothing, and ideal for disconnecting from the busy pace of everyday life. If you’re seeking a tranquil getaway where you can relax, enjoy tea beneath the trees, and wind down by a warm, crackling fire, this is the perfect spot.

Secluded Wicklow Lodge

fraserRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Declan’s place is magic. The location was great, it’s in close proximity to the beaches of the East coast, the walks of the Wicklow mountains and the friendly and charming village of Aughrim. The setting is delightful: secluded, surrounded by trees and wildlife and the view out towards the east to enjoy the morning sun is spectacular. The lodge is clean, comfortable and well set up. An introduction pack/guide would be handy, we had a luke warm shower one morning and the woodburner was tricky to get the hang of. But once we found our way we were toasty all weekend. Very enjoyable stay overall.
